Raised in West Valley City, my brothers and I were taught plumbing by our dad. At age 11, I didn’t realize how much my dad was teaching us. I began my plumbing apprenticeship with my older brothers at 17 in Salt Lake City. I gained experience with main water lines, water heaters, and water softeners. In memory of our father, we established a plumbing repair company called Carl's Sons Plumbing. While we enjoyed great times, I was compelled to pursue my own venture. This inspired me to start All Hours Plumbing Heating & A/C, focusing on residential repairs. A decade later, I continue to connect with my brothers to share insights and knowledge. In the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning field, there’s always more to learn. My brother Jim has been managing Carl's Sons Plumbing in Big Bear, California, for 27 years. My dad was a plumber who valued his work and his big family of 12. He took us boys to work with him, teaching us basic plumbing skills from a young age. This experience made a significant impact, building our work ethic and understanding. Starting my apprenticeship plumbing classes at 17, I worked with my brothers in a large residential repair shop near 7th East and the I-80 Freeway in Salt Lake City. In that shop, I refined my skills on main water lines, water heaters, water softeners, and other labor-intensive jobs. My brothers and I started a company in memory of our dad, operating as Carl's Sons Plumbing for about two years. Ultimately, I chose to create my own business independently. I appreciate the wisdom I received from my father and my older brothers.
