Stereotypical Home Owner Warranty low grade plumbers. They work the system knowing they can get money out of you if they get the warranty company to deny your claim. They charge you more than what the warranty company would pay them. Crooks. Steer clear. Notice they have only 1 or 5 star reviews. Seems like they are having their friends increase their ratings. And still only 2.3 average. Pathetic.
Perte G.Was contracted by AHS to do water heater replacement. Gave a super low quote then disappeared from the face of the earth. Never responded to Emails or Phone Calls. American Home Shield refused to use anyone else and gave us a pay-out based on their quote 5 weeks later. But that's another review.... 5 weeks without hot water! Unbelievable
Matthew B.Read the reviews. If you have a AHS warranty, steer clear. They are bad news, and will screw up your AHS claim. They will diagnosis a problem to make more money for themselves. They totally screwed up my gas hot water claim. A simple 10 year gas hot water turned into a nightmare. They wanted me to pay an additional $1,200 over warranty coverage to replace the gas hot water heater. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ASK AHS FOR A DIFFRENT COMPANY. They are a rip off. They will never ever set foot on my property again.
In September 2023 they were sent to my house for a plumbing problem in my bathroom. They said they had to cut into my bedroom wall to get to the pipes. Home shield gave them the ok. I haven't seen anyone since!! I'm constantly calling home shield. They say they're waiting on the paperwork from all hours, I call all hours, they don't answer. Home shield keeps giving me the runaround saying thet have sent my case to the """"expedite"""" depth. and they're sorry for the inconvenience. This is no longer an inconvenience. I have a big square hole in my granddaughters bedroom that goes under my house and sinks in the bathroom that don't work. This is a health problem!!!! I'm now in the process of looking for an attorney to handle this because this will be very expensive to fix. And oh yeah, by the way, home shield is still taking their payments out of my bank account every month. I
D L.Joshua and Jason and AHS Home Warranty: OK let me be very blunt right up front about this company and any dealings you may be considering. They are dirtier than dog doo. They are in cahoots with the home warranty companies to do anything possible not to allow a claim to be paid. AHS home warranty sent a plumber from this company out to look at our inoperable water heater, which was clearly covered under our contract. This guy showed up for no more than one minute to my house, stared at my water heater from a distance for no more than 30 seconds, and called it """"manufacturer defect"""" regarding a water heater. he did that not in my presence, mind you. But that's the report that made it way back to the home warranty company. I found out later, of course, that """"manufacturer defect"""" on a six-year-old water heater was the one loophole for them getting out of paying a claim. They then thought they were dealing with a sucker to charge me another """"service fee"""" to get a second opinion. Of course we fought it with our credit card and did not pay it. However, anybody who reads this needs to know that they are dealing with fraud, graft, and corruption with this company. I repeatedly asked the bearer of the bad news how he could possibly know that by looking at it for a minute from the outside, that it was a """"manufacturers defect"""", the basis for them denying the claim. This company is down and dirty and you would be wise to steer clear. We were gifted AHS home warranty with the purchase of our house and every time we've tried to use it for anything it has been a headache. And, of course, they have not once yet paid a claim always finding a loophole not to. You will see a commensurate review for AHS on Google and or Yelp when you look. Again stand clear. This place is dishonest. This place cannot possibly be in business much longer. And you have now officially been warned if you've read this. Treat your money well, you have earned it and worked hard for it.
Terrible experience, had Joshua come take a look at my water heater, he took one look and said it was a power surge and that got my home warranty request denied. In reality it was just the negative terminal on the thermostat not screwed down all the way and that was causing arcing. Im an aviation mechanic, not a plumber, and i spotted that as soon as i looked at it myself. By then Joshua had been gone for about 15 minutes so i called the dispatch and asked if Joshua could take a look because i believe he had made a mistake. Dispatch denied my request and told me the the technicians word is final. Second plumber that looked at it was able to identify and correctly diagnose the obvious issue where as All Hours Plumbing was not. Certainly glad i didnt give this company a dime. Dont waste your time.
Horrible business .... If you're using a home warranty request a different plumber !!!! I had the job done by a different plumber through AHS and it was covered completely by the warranty .. they made up fake modifications that weren't needed.
Terri M.They were quick to come out when dispatched by American Home Shields. On Nov. 2nd when plumber was here with leak detection equipment and determined it was a slab leak that caused our room and a half of our home to be flooded. Stopping the leak had us turning off the hot water line into the house. He promised to send us a copy of his findings as well as to AHS the next day which was Nov. 3rd. We didn't get anything and tried calling them for two days and leaving 3 messages asking for a call back. After 7 days from the date he was at my house and no return calls I started calling AHS who every time said they were waiting on info from the plumber. That was 25 days ago that plumber was here, and I have been without hot water. Even if the issue is with AHS dragging their feet, there is no reason this plumbing company can't return our call and send us the copy of the report so we can finish filing our claim with our home owners insurance to fix the flooded rooms. All we want from them immediately is the report. Then of course we want to get our leak fixed but I need that report!
if I could give a negative star rating I would!! The worst customer service I've ever had and tried scamming me for more money!! I will be contacting a lawyer because thi business is very bad!!! I will contact BBB as well!! Do Not Use this Company
Horrible service! Needed a garbage disposal fixed or replaced. The technician came out and said he would have to order a replacement and be back then left. I never heard back but charged anyway for a service call. When I finally checked with All Hours Emergency Plumber and they told me the work order was closed because there was an item stuck in disposal. First the technician did not tell me that and second I paid All Hours EP to fix or replace and it still doesn't work. I paid another plumber to come out and he told me there is nothing stuck, the garbage disposal's clutch is bad... This plumber was recommended by American Home Shield and AHS refuses to help as well since the plumber closed the order as complete. Terrible horrible service and as far as I am concerned are thieves for charging me and doing nothing!!!!!
