Company Overview

Our company is employee-owned, licensed, and focuses on plumbing solutions. For repairs, we charge a flat fee of $149 to send a trained technician to your home with a comprehensive truck. After the technician arrives, he will evaluate the issue and present an upfront price. We will not move forward without your approval. If you choose not to continue, we will still collect the $149 fee. We take pride in the quality of our work.

Larry and Susan Davies founded what is now known as All Comfort Services in their basement while raising their three children in Fitchburg, later moving to McFarland.

Initially named Air Comfort, the Davies’ venture focused on repairing heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for both residential and commercial clients.

In 2000, Air Comfort expanded by adding electrical and plumbing divisions to enhance its heating and cooling offerings. In 2004, the name changed to All Comfort Services to reflect its commitment to providing comprehensive comfort for homeowners. With ongoing growth, All Comfort Services relocated from Fitchburg to its current site on Voges Road in Madison.

Larry Davies transitioned all of his stock to his employees on December 31, 2022, creating an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). All Comfort Services is now an employee-owned business. Leo serves as the Customer Service Manager.

We had a home inspection done and there were issues with the furnace, namely rust staining and water pooling in the cabinet under the inducer motor. We requested the seller have this fixed before closing. He had ACS out to do the repairs and thought everything was fixed when he got the $400 bill. When I received the PIF invoice I noticed there were no notes about the source of water being repaired. Being 3 days before closing this was an issue. Note: I am a state energy assessor and I inspect hundreds of furnaces a year. My office is nearby so I stopped over to get the tech notes. The office staff including Daniel were great and got me everything I needed. The tech, Maurice, apparently did a tune up and then forgot to order a new ID motor. Long story short, they came back 3 more times to find the source of water and even though I could put my hand in a puddle of water in the furnace, we were told there was no water there. The techs are incompetent and negligible. Shortly after closing I had one of my regular contractors out to check things and he found condensate dripping from an exhaust manifold cover. Took him 20 minutes to fix and also removed the blower motor shipping bolt that nobody else noticed. While I appreciated the hard work of the office staff (hence the 2 stars), the techs are obviously not detail oriented and are grossly incompetent. I would never use All Comfort Services to work on my furnace again in the future.
Note: I have a top of the line Lennox and was hoping to have them do yearly service as they're a preferred Lennox dealer. Pity.

Pros:
* As far as I know competent
* Could book soon, others were not taking new clients

Cons:
* Expensive as hell, hundo to look at boiler very briefly, then quoted 800 to fix part, with additional upsells for more. Suggested replacing entire unit. It should have decades more life in it. Got a second opinion from E&W and it was ONE FIFTH THE PRICE and work was done within an hour of looking at it.

This past week my air conditioning unit went out. I figured out the problem myself and was looking to replace a part. I went to probably 7 different supply stores to try and buy the specific part I needed. Either the supply store could not sell to the homeowner or they did not have what I needed. Thankful one supply store suggest going to all comfort services. I was surprised that they sold parts at their office location. I was a little nervous going into the office not knowing what to expect. I was greeted promptly and shown the way to the parts desk. The service person got what I needed right away! So easy and so convenient.

I just had All Comfort Services remove my old tub surround and replace it with a whirlpool tub and tile. There was a hiccup with the tub getting back-ordered, but, Gary, the plumber, and their tiler were on site early on the Saturday morning before Easter to make sure the job was done.

Amazing service. I have used All Comfort now for electrical and HVAC on a kitchen remodel, and now for my bathroom remodel. I cannot say enough good about them.

I would not recommend this service provider. They serviced my home with a relatively new and efficient furnance/humdifier/air conditioner for years on maintenance contracts and on service calls. When I went to sell the home, the home inspection service for the buyer found a long list of deficiencies and violations such as ties on safety doors, missing shut-off switches, and leaks getting into the furnace from the humidifier. The reason they are not a 1-star is that they did provide service and come when called.

After trying 5 different area electricians, I received either no response or a message noting the company was not taking on any new business. I then came across All Comfort Services. From the moment of scheduling to the completion of work, this team was amazing. The electrician, Tom C, was friendly, prompt and thorough with his explanation. I will definitely use All Comfort Services in the future and highly recommend.

My wife called for service to our 10yr old furnace because the blower motor stopped.
Technician inspected and quickly diagnosed a failed inducer motor.
Estimate was $1200, 'and I will need to inspect again to see if anything else is wrong'.
I paid the 'service call' fee and ORDERED HIM OUT OF OUR HOME!
Our furnace was repaired two days later by another company for $379.
any question?

They attempted to charge me more than twice the cost for a heat pump than if I had bought it from them at retail not including labor. When I told them that I caught them, they sent us a box of chocolates!

Purchased a home a few years ago, with a Lennox furnace that was installed by All Comfort. Early fall I figured I should get the heating and cooling system checked over and cleaned up, so I called All Comfort, as their documentation was all over the furnace. The visit lasted about 3 hours, with the technician checking everything over (heating, cooling, humidifier), and cost about $450. Seemed a little steep for general/preventive maintenance call, but it was worth it for piece of mind that we would have heat through the winter. The technician was personable enough, and since I needed to return to work, I left him alone to finish up the preventive maintenance.

Well, a little more than two months later, a week before Christmas the furnace failed. It was on a Friday evening. Fortunately our house has a double fireplace, which is was able to stoked all weekend and keep the house at 65 degrees. All Comfort was able to come out right away Monday, and it would be $100, just for them to step in the door. OK fine, it is winter, and they fit me into the schedule quickly. I suspected the issue was the blower was locked up, since I heard buzzing coming from it prior to the furnace not working. I am an engineer, and have a pretty solid understanding of how the furnace works. I would have trouble shot it myself, but am in the middle of a remodeling project, and figured I would leave it to the ""professionals."" It took the technician (same one that performed the ""maintenance"" 2 months earlier) 30 sec to tell me what I already knew, the blower was locked up. I am not exactly sure how he knew that, because i did not see him check anything, other than turning on the furnace at the thermostat.

He then proceeded to remove the blower, which took 2 mins (3 bolts, main exhaust tube, drain tube, and ground wire). While he was doing this he started to tell me how the furnace is old, and it is not worth replacing the blower. He started telling me that it would be $4000 (starting prices) for a new furnace, that my furnace was 20 years old and that he is surprised something this old is still running. Asked me when I would like them to come out and quote a new one, etc., etc. I asked why we could not just replace the blower? He said he was not sure that they have the part, and that it would be $1300 if they do. I told him to check to see if they have the part, and figure out exactly how much it would be to replace. He called the main office, and talked about everything other than the part. Meanwhile, my wife just arrived home from work, so I told him that I was going to discuss it with her quickly, as to what we wanted to do. He disappeared out to his truck and returned shortly thereafter with a box, stating ""Oh, guess I had one of these in the truck,"" and a quote for $1300.

At this point, I really started to have suspicions about the whole experience. The furnace breaks 2 months after getting preventive servicing?, a blower fan that has 10 mins of installation labor, costs $1300, my only good option is to replace the whole furnace for $4000. So, I quickly looked online for the blower, ..... around $100 !!!!!!

So, I was going to get charged $1400 for them to come out and for parts and installation of a $100 dollar part that took 10 mins to install, ...... and this is all after multiple hard sells on a new 4K furnace, which I was told ""is really the most sensible decision."" These guys are not at all honest, and I will never work with them again. Maybe the furnace breaking 2 months after servicing was coincidence(maybe not), but the dishonestly in pricing after the fact was offensive and obvious. I will order the $100 replacement part two day shipping, continue to heat my house via fireplace for the next two days, and take the 10 mins to install it myself and save $1300! All Comfort lost all my respect and future business!

This company has been installing 3 times defective Aprilaire model 8463 thermostat at my home charging for dispatch and labor services (around $170.00) every time. The last one broke 3 weeks ago!! Today they changed brand to Honeywell (amazon price $50.00) they charged $266.00 for the new unit and an extra evaluation $165.00 to be sure the new thermostat is not defective. PLEASE BE AWARE, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY AT ALL!! I am stuck with them because the warranty on my furnace, otherwise they could go very far away!!
