Denissa R.Upon waking up to a sea of sewer water in my basement this morning I was so relieved when we I found a coupon for a plumber in my area. I thought great after a terrible blizzard and now the flooding I can at least get a discount. So I called this place up so grateful to have found this coupon and a number without any hassle. I had a man pick up who seemed Agitated at my call to begin with. After stating that I needed assistance as soon as possible and that I had seen his number in a coupon his demeanor seemed to get worse. He grew impatience with My now ten second conversation and decided to cut me off and tell me that he was ""not honoring"" this coupon today because they were just to busy for that. Now I didn't even get a chance to respond before he immediately hung up deciding that he wasn't interested in what I had to say. Had he given me a chance I was simply going to tell him fine I needed the service regardless. I have an elderly mother in law living here and had two guest from out of town, I wanted to get
This resolved as soon as possible so I could turn the water back on. My boyfriend called him the second time and he proceeded to get so disrespectful I was at a complete
Loss for words. He cussed at us and also said I'm not interested in your business. The entire call we never said anything out of line or remotely disrespectful. First off if your frustrated with your job get a new one I'm just a customer calling for service. Secondly, who raised you? Because I am completely astonished at your vulgar savage behavior and speech. And third learn how to run a business or shut it down. Needless to say not a single star given here there's only one up there so I could post. worst customer service I have EVER experienced!!
Here is another unsatisfied customer. They came to a clogged line and completed the work. The employee did not clean up after themselves and left a mess in the bathroom. I did talk to Tom about the incident and he was extremely rude. Basically the work was completed fine because I have a clean line now. But I would recommend to stay away at all costs based on the consistent reviews of the owner being rude to his paying customers.
Sounds like another unsatisfied customer. After coming out to rod and camera the line of my commercial building several times, Tom finally convinced me to spend $1,500 to jet the line which would provide a one year guaranty that the line could stay clear. After coming back several times, Tom finally refused to come out any more saying we had essentially tricked him by not telling him something about his business. I had every intention of taking him to small claims court to recoupe my cost, but after my general contractor completed a small clean-out job, the line has been clear ever since. Therefore, I figured we couldn't prove a loss - even though one of the guys splashed water on my tenant's computer that cost $400 to repair. How did that happen? The jet went through the wrong pipe and sprayed water into the rental unit. Never again. Tom talks a good story when selling, but won't stand behind his word - oral or written.
Wish i had seen the previous review of this firm. They came to my home to unclog a toilet. There plumber removed the toilet andplaced it beside my stainless steel fridge. Busy with a two yr old so did not notice that the toilet had damaged my fridge leaving dents in my fridge. Spoke to owner who told me to prove it. There are lots of other plumbing companies who will stand by there work.
Didnt like all clear at all. Everyone we dealt with were very rude. Told us one price on the phone then it changed once they arrived. Giving excuses why the price was different . Left a big stain on our carpet the size of a manhole cover. I won't use them again
Would give zero stars if possible. I called them from an ad in ""Save"" Magazine. The toilet in my second bath was starting to clog periodically so I wanted to have the drain line rodded. They came in and choose to go thru the shower instead so they wouldn't have to take the toilet off. What should have been a $50 simple rodding with a 3 year guarantee and camera inspection, turned into a severed pipe and broken toilet seat at a cost of $300 plus the repairs to their work by another plumber, no guarantee and no camera inspection. I didn't discover the severed pipe till the weekend when I went to check the crawl space the plumbing was in. The pipe coming from the shower had been completely severed. This is when I learned that my toilet and sink were now emptying out into the crawl space thru the severed shower pipe. By whole bathroom was left completely unfunctional. I had to call in another plumber to re rod the line. They went thru the toilet and they capped off the broken pipe in the crawl space so I could at least have a sink and toilet working again.
Will probably never use these folks again!!! I admit they showed up on time but the work got messy afterwards. I had to provide them with plastic so they would not ruin my carpet and they still manage to get stuff all over the walls and part of the carpet. The job was suppose to take about an hour but went on for three and half hours. One guy didn't seem to know what he was doing and the other guy was mad at him. I guess he was learning on the job. Ended up getting charged extra for hydro-jetting which was not part of the original agreement. In all, glad the repair is done and don't have to deal with these guys again.
These guys came through to do some work a week or two ago. They pulled the toilet, rodded and then re-set the bowl. During the process, there was a lot of water coming out and pretty much flooding the bathroom, as one might expect, and so they asked for a couple extra towels so they could clean up. No problem, I thought. I threw them a couple towels and rags. Anyway, they did what was left of the job and they were on their way after I paid my due balance.
A week or so later, here we are - backed up yet again. I called Tom (the owner) earlier today to ask about a possible guarantee on the work. He was courteous as he was the first time we spoke but communicated that another rod-job would be charged and that they could give me about $25 off at best.
We wanted to explore other options first.
A friend of the family (a former plumber) is back in the country and so we called him. He came by and lo-and-behold: he rodded and removed a rag from the pipes.
I called Tom after the guy left. I told him what had happened. I said there may have been a chance that his guys inadvertently forgot about that rag and that somehow it ended up in the pipes. He then started to speak in a very fast and threatening tone, barely even letting me get a word in. I interrupted at one point to say, ""I don't want my money back; I just want an apology."" He then said, ""There is no apology."" He proceeded to proclaim, ""My guys ain't that big of an idiot"", indirectly calling my family a bunch of morons. When I asked him to clarify what he meant by that in regards to those in my home, he said, ""whatever."" Having had enough of this pleasant conversation, I hung up on him.
What Tom needs to realize is that even if his team didn't do what I suspect they did, all that means is that the job wasn't fully completed when they were here. Had it been done right, that ragged would've been pulled then without us having to wait for someone to get it out tonight. And if they really didn't make the mistake I accused them of making, I apologize and whole-heartedly so. But, again, if that's the case, it seems the job could've been done more efficiently the first time around.
Also, Tom: it's the idiots who flush stupid shit down pipes that make it so that companies like All Clear can survive and thrive.
I had a Will come and do a power rodding on my line. He told me my line had shifted and would need to be dug out. I put off having the dig up.
3 weeks later I had another back up. I called a different company to see if they came up with the same diagnosis. They did find the same exact problem and got their equipment stuck in my line.
I called Will. He came out for NO CHARGE to give me a quote on fixing the other company's idiot's screw up. He gave me a list of things to make sure the other company specified on thier quote. I only went with the other company because I couldn't wait the 18hrs to have Will's crew come back with the cement cutter. (my line is under my driveway) The other company eneded up finding/creating more problems and tried to charge us extra. It was a huge battle and to this day I regret not waiting for Will's team.
He knows his job and very respectful. He was recommended by a friend who also had her sewer line collapse. They will meet or beat most other quotes.
I highly recommend Will. When my husband's work needed a drain repair I gave them this number immediately.
City of Bellwood uses them for all their issues......
Paul D.Well I had a lot better luck with All Clear than some of the other reviewers here. I had a sewer line blockage in a 60-year-old house that I rodded myself the biggest rental unit I could load into the car, only to have it clog again a couple days later. I called All Clear despite some of the bad reviews here (had a Clipper.com coupon), and in 30 minutes they showed up with a crew of 3. The senior guy listened to my story, checked out the layout of the house and the basement drain pipes, then found a cleanout point outside in the yard that I wasn't even aware of. (It's my neice's house.) From the cleanout point they used a LARGE rodding machine and rodded from the cleanout back into the house, removed the tool, and rodded again in the opposite direction, out to the street. This cleared the blockage but brought out lots of roots. They rodded some more with a bigger bit and got more roots. At this point we could have called it a day - the clog was cleared - and gotten by (with my coupon) for $50 bucks - less than I paid to rent the smaller machine. He did not try to sell me anything more. I was concerned about the roots and figured this would be a recurring problem. Only after I asked, he suggeested hydro-jetting to get more of the junk out of the line. It sounded like a good idea but I was afraid it would cost really big bucks since this was something I could never do on my own and I was pretty much stuck. I'm not going to publish the price I paid because then everybody will expect to get it regardless of their configuration, but suffice to say it was about half of what I expected and I was happy to pay it. The only money I wasted was what I spent trying to do it myself, not to mention the hours I wasted doing an unpleasant job. As a bonus the All Clear guy identified a problem with a toilet that I didn't notice, told me what was probably wrong, and didn't try to pressure me into hiring him to fix it. I fixed it myself for about $5. The whole adventure took about 2 1/2 hours. I feel like I got good service for a fair price. I would call these guys again. You might have bigger problems, no easy access, or whatever, and the extra work will cost you more than what I paid, but my point is I don't think they were trying to screw me.
