I would never use All City Environmental for any plumbing work again. They do not follow through on their work and the service is sub-standard.

Our association had issues during the historic rains and got ACE to come out to jet and pump the sewer lines for $1325 given they were the only company available. The first day they came out and did their work and said they cleared the blockage / issues.
However, the following day they came out again because the backup issue was not fixed and we had similar issues during a lighter rain. They performed the same work and did not charge for the second day which was appreciated.
We had a 3rd backup and at that point I reached out to another company (given I lost confidence). Upon camera and mapping we found tree roots were causing a blockage still and the jetting did not address the issue.
I spoke with the owner prior to posting this and in the end he did not feel that ACE did anything wrong. He recognized that a camera would have helped identify the issue but he did not want to increase costs unnecessarily.
In the end, I am not a building engineer nor a plumber and relying on ACE as the expert to guide me and balance cost w/ information. And the fact they did not recommend a camera inspection at all given they were taking an educated guess in a old building with old plumbing is not acceptable in my mind.
If you are looking for a company to address an issue in a old Chicago building I do not recommend them.

Reliable, fast, competent, clean, thorough. These guys were great. I wish other tradesmen were even half as good as All City. There was a plumbing emergency in my building and they had to get into my unit. They did their best to end the horrible situation quickly. This was back in November 2018. Danny and Mike are great at their job.

Use All City environmental if you can budget into your schedule a ""no show"" or two on their part. We are a mom and pop restaurant that did business with a commercial plumber for years until he retired. We tried All City Environmental and on their second scheduled appointment they didn't show up. We've been in business for more than 60 years under the impression that everybody should get a second chance, so we gave it to them. We staffed someone with an extra shift to be there early in the morning to receive All City Environmental because I don't want their work to conflict with our regular operation. This morning they were a no-show again. They did good work when they showed up, if they show up. I would write more but I have to reschedule the rest of my day. They apparently don't need my business.

I live in a condo. My toilet was having frequent problems beyond the ability of our engineers to fix. I called All City and they came out the next day. Dan examined the toilet and said it needed to be replaced. I have no way of picking up and transporting a new toilet. Dan said he's go to Home Depot and pick one up for me. He went right then, returned with the new toilet and installed it. Incredible service. I highly recommend All City Environmental.

Called early afternoon for a quote, which was very reasonable. They promised to come by same day and did...within about 2 hours. The team came out, took care of a very nasty catch basin problem promptly and did a thorough clean up afterwards. Thank You Robert, Thomas, & Erick!

Excellent service. Both sinks were stopped (backed up) in our master bath and Matt was able to schedule a crew to arrive within 1-1/2 hours that day! The time to fix the issue was about a half-hour and the price was VERY reasonable. I called a few days later to acknowledge the service and to thank ACE for such fast service. I did suggest that the workmen remove their shoes before they enter a home. Matt agreed and that is the practice - they even have booties to wear, but they just forgot. That was the only negative. Not removing their shoes resulted in a mess I had to clean afterward (bathroom, carpet, wood floor, and wool rug runner from the front door). Still I rate the company 5 stars!

I'm surprised at the negative reviews. My building engineer recommended them (they've apparently serviced the building for a number of years) and they were awesome - did the little things right. The plumber asked for pictures before he came on site to make sure he had the parts he'd need and then knocked it out of the park. A little bit of crud splattered beyond the drop cloth and it was cleaned before I could blink. They came same day even though it wasn't an emergency and in the expected window.
Very happy and will certainly (though hopefully won't have to) use them again.

Very poor custumer service by the owner. Initially, they are polite over the phone and scheduled to provide services wirh me, but failed to schedule it on crew's work order the day of. Melissa admitted that it was her mistake for not placing the work order, she then rescheduled for two days later this week. To my surprise, they showed up this morning. They apologized again for the mishap. After providing the services, I see that there was leakage and so I called back to let them know. I calked back again after an hour as I noticed that the leakage is flooding the floor. I was transferred to Mark who tells me there's a blockage and it needs to be rooted and it would be another $275 and that his son told me this when he was there this morning. He didn't. I'm already not happy with the scheduling fiasco and tried to tell him that neither he nor his son, Matt, explained this as a possible issue. I gave them full disclosure of the situation before receiving their services and should have been told about this possible scenario of added costs. He then cuts me off and said to find someone else to provide the service and hung up on me. I called another company and they fixed everything for me. ASAP.
Being a fellow small business owner who likes to work with integrity, I am very turned off by Mark's behavior. Just be aware before using their services.

This company cleaned and jetted my catch basin. The bottom line is they charged at least $600 more than anyone else. The next day I cold called some other Chicagoland area plumbers and catch basin cleaners..None of them said $1500 for their service! Not One!! I was ""scared"" into having this company come as fast as possible by a Plumber called Patrick and Sons Plumbing. It is very obvious that Patrick Broderick (owner of the plumbing company) and All City Environmental have an ""agreement"" for this type of work. Mr Broderick said ""Give me cash, and I'll negotiate the price with All City for the cost of their service!"" Obviously Patrick Broderick put some of that money into HIS pocket!!!
Two Very Sneaky and unethical businesses. Please, Never use these two companies.
