I have lived in North Raleigh for many years and proudly own All American Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing. I bring more than 37 years of practical experience in my trade. All American has been in business in North Raleigh and its surrounding area for over 17 years. We provide service and installation for both residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems as well as plumbing. I've recently relocated to Holly Springs and I don't know if my a/c will work properly. The mailer I got said that this company has a 5 star rating. So, I checked their website, read through the reviews and after seeing that they have 24/7 phones, I called. It was kinda late. I called at 4:55 PM last Friday.
I got a recording saying that I'd called after business hours. Please leave a message or request service online to be contacted the next business day. I requested service online. That was last Friday. It's now 8PM on Monday and I didn't get a phone call, a text, or an email.
Maybe they only respond to desperation. I'm certainly not desperate enough to use All American. I'll find a company/person that's honest.

These are the facts: these people changed our motor the summer of 2019. The warranty was for an year. December 2020 our heating stopped working.
The tech from this company came out, spent about 45 mins diagnosing the problem, told us it's probably the motor, but he wasn't sure what the problem was. He simply couldn't get the motor to work. He advised us to change the whole system, and their furnace replacement specialist came over and quote us a price (which is very very expensive).
My husband got really frustrated. We were told that while the tech could not diagnose the problem, he still charged for diagnosis time. He steered us into a direction that would have costs us a lot of money without knowing what the problem actually was. The tech blamed the issue on a motor that's an year and half old.
After the tech left, my husband took matter in his own hands. Identified the issue in about 15 mins. Ordered the broken part off eBay for 28$. Installed in about 20 mins and now we have a fully functioning AC/heating for 28$.
The option of changing the whole system should only be suggested if that is necessary. If you as specialist know that is the issue. My husband told me the broken piece was in plain view. See picture. Also if you cannot diagnose a problem it's basically unethical to charge money for diagnosis. The whole thing reeks of incompetence.
We did get the money back for the diagnosis, after we informed them of what happened after they left.
Sure they wear shoe covers and are punctual. Which is nice. But the tech needs additional training for sure.
Should my husband have been less handy we would have ended up spending thousands of dollars which we didn't need to spend. Moreover we would have had to pay to have the whole system replaced because of an issue blamed on a part that they sold us and was an year and half old. And that's the true problem.
The staff showed up right on time to fix a problem with my air conditioner that I needed desperately. They were very respectful and got right to work when they arrived. The A/C unit was fixed in under 20 minutes with no complications. Would recommend to anyone!

Tonight that just went above and beyond - a repairman replaced it since it came in late in the afternoon and it was raining when it came so he came out later. I am beyond thankful for this company as my mom has asthma and lives with us and we NEED air conditioning, he went above and beyond! Anthony is absolutely amazing and I can't say enough about him. Please know that this man is an amazing human being and cares for the greater good of human kind. He realized the severity of the situation and went above and beyond! Thank you is absolutely NOT enough!
terrible customer service. called about one problem (excess water coming out of humidifier) and they replaced the humidifier at a cost to us of $1,500 and the excess water problem remains. They say humidifier is working properly. maybe so but the excess water/flooding remains and they will not fix it. That is why we called them--to fix the excess water/flooding. When i called to tell them it was still not fixed they said they were not aware of the excess water/flooding problem. when i told them the excess water/flooding was the first thing we showed their repairman, the person i talked to denied that but agreed to ask his employees (three different employees came out to look at it). i can only assume he talked to his employees and the one that come here first did tell him that we showed him the excess water/flooding because after that he would not return my calls. I would never use this company again.
Our downstairs office flooded late Sunday afternoon (during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, no less). We immediately shut the water main off, which meant we were totally without water until repairs were made to avoid further damages. After contacting several plumbers, none of which were willing to come out. We contacted All American, Chris sent his technician, Andrew, who lived almost 1.5 hrs away to our rescue. He identified the issue and made necessary repairs. Prior to leaving, he inspected other areas and identified another major leak which he also repaired before leaving. Price was reasonable and work was exceptional. We would highly recommend and use All American again for our plumbing needs. Awful experience with terrible communication and follow through from every angle. They came to add coolant while we waited for the warranty coil to arrive. They came over when I was not home and left after collecting payment over the phone. The unit never turned back on and now the fan/motor is broken as well! They claimed they would be out at 7:30 the next morning but never showed up. Was told the warranty coil would be available this day as well but after multiple calls to the office, they claimed they couldn't make it back out. Hired another company to do the job right and it was completed within hours for almost $1,000 less. Highly recommend finding an alternative!
Juanyetta B.Scheduled a consult a week ago. The technician that came (Bryan or Ryan) reviewed options with me & said he would see the options & pricing via email to me. I have yet to receive an email or call from this company for follow up. I will not chase a company to spend my $, if prior to they demonstrate lack of follow through. Disappointed because others highly recommended them ?
We recently had to replace our old inherited dual heat pump system.
All American visited the house prior to installation with the lead installer and the electrician to make sure they understood what the challenges would be on the install. Upshot, everything went smoothly on the installation, although , they did have to come back the next day to set up the zones that we wanted as it was a brand new zone system that they had not used before. The crew were polite and left everything clean and tidy, in fact our basement was tidier after they left than when they arrived!
Very impressed with All American Heating and Air, they provided a very professional level of service.
