Summary: Watch out for the pricing - scary high.

We are doing a renovation of a townhome in Rexburg. We needed three toilets removed, a water heater drained and moved to the garage, and three sinks disconnected (unscrew the water source, and disconnect the drain). A week later, these would all need to be reinstalled.

I called All About Home Repair and they said that they couldn't give me an estimate over the phone, but they could send someone out the next day to give me a quote. If we didn't end up using them, we would pay a $39 callout fee. If we did use them, it would get credited towards the overall project cost, which seemed reasonable to me.

Keaton came out and gave me a quote stating, ""It will be over $2,000."" I balked at the cost and said that it seemed EXTREMELY high as I have pulled a toilet before and it takes less than a half hour (and that included the time watching the YouTube video of how to do it). He asked me how much I was expecting and I told him I didn't think all of that would be over $800 on the high side. He said they couldn't do that and I said I couldn't do their price. He charged me the $39 callout fee and went on his way.

I called the office Manager, Stephanie, and she was very nice to work with and talk to. With that said, I explained the situation and she said she would like to talk to Keaton and then get back with me, which she did just 15 minutes later. She told me that he had not offered me some of the packages that he could have offered (since all three toilets were at the same location), but that he never felt like he had the chance to do so. She went through the pricing with me and it still came out to about $1,200.

In the mean time, I was able to secure another plumber to do the work for $600. So while I appreciated the work to get the bid down, it was still significantly higher than what the market is dictating. Stephanie was also kind enough to cancel the callout fee of $39 without me asking (which is why I bumped the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star).

In conclusion, Stephanie and Keaton were both nice, but the pricing of the company is the highest I have encountered.

Horrible scheduling. I made an appointment to have some one look at our gas fireplace agreeing to waiting 2 weeks. 2 days before my appointment they called while I was at work asking to move my appointment sooner... then called to say they had to cancel my appointment. With I called back they said they could no longer keep my scheduled appointment that was the NEXT day and I needed to reschedule. I rescheduled the next Tuesday. I called Monday to confirm and ask for timing. Was told 8-10am and I was the first appointment so they would be here. 9:45 Tuesday and I had heard nothing. When I called they said they were ""just going to call me"" to tell me their tech was delayed. Said I could wait for who knows how long or reschedule. I said I would wait a little longer. At 10 they called to tell me the tech was delayed and it would be hours. So I could wait longer in hopes he had time to come or reschedule, again.
I called weeks in advance to schedule a service. A service they COULD NOT KEEP. At this point heat is necessary and makes my home an emergency. I missed work so I could be home and this company is beyond unreliable. I wish I had know sooner so I could have scheduled with a different company.

We bought a home in Sugar City and it was more of a fixer-upper than we realized. It had CPVC that was brittle in some areas, so we ended up having the entire house re-plumbed. We also decided to put in a new well pump and new lines into the house.

Steve worked with us and Standard Plumbing to help us make the best choices as far as hot water heater, pressure tank, filter system, re-circulation pump, etc.

We were really trying to move in quickly and he stayed until 11pm to help us. Late last night we pressure tested and everything was perfect.

Steve is amazing. He cares about you. He does exceptional work.

We are super excited about our new home.

Mike did a great job taking care of my plumbing issue. He was on time, courteous, professional and very friendly! Would definitely recommend!

They put in a railing for my dad, who has a hard time with stairs, the railing was a few inches above the steps. My parents got charged 4-500$$. They took the railing out, and someone else did it properly for free.

We then asked for a quote to put a door at the bottom of the stairs to the basement. To keep my cats from going upstairs. They initially quoted us a grand or more, talked about ripping up the carpet and said they would send us the official quote later that week.

We never got the quote, and put a door to the basement for 1/2 of the cost or less than what they quoted us.

Poor customer service and overpriced for shoddy workmanship.

I made an appointment with this place for Friday between 2 and 6. At 6:39 they left a message about being busy and wanted me to reschedule next week. This happened once before and I decided it might have been a fluke. Obviously it wasn't. Unless I want to waste a day waiting for this ""business"" to not show up which I don't, I will not call again. Very inconsiderate.

This place took forever. They said they would be here between 8-9 and then at 8:58 they called and said they were running a little late, but we're on there way over. They showed up 45 minutes later. I waited all morning and then for them to be here 5 minutes and charge me through the roof. I would definitely look somewhere else.

Great service! Steve was very easy to work with and helped me with all the little things, some things weren't even part of the bid. He followed thru and made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I highly recommend All About Home Repair!
