Alison Service Company was founded in 1980 as an electrical contractor with a focus on electrical wiring for retail and residential locations. In 1991, we were contacted by a national retail maintenance company to provide electrical services to retailers across Southern California.

As time went on, we began performing other maintenance and repair services besides electrical contracting. As we gained expertise and got to know our clients, we diversified our trades. The request to provide more services led us to obtain a general contractor's and plumbing license in addition to our electrical contracting license.

Long before I arrived, my father started his own electrical contracting business in Covina. Once we were able to handle a hammer, he took my siblings and me to his job locations. I have fond memories of finding scraps of wiring and conduit and making ""art"" with my siblings to keep busy while our Father worked.

We watched him leave family events for emergencies, handle constant phone calls, attend meetings, and work late into the night. Though he was often busy, he actively participated in our lives, coaching our sports teams, attending every event, and being there when we needed him most.

When I graduated high school, my Father was serving residents and commercial locations in the San Diego area. I moved to San Diego and began working for my Father as his assistant. My responsibilities included assembling ceiling fans, installing outlets, wiring recessed lighting, and taking care of his scheduling and invoicing. Today, my siblings and I are at the helm and couldn't be happier.
