In 1980, Alison Service Company started as an electrical contractor focusing on wiring retail stores and homes. In 1991, we were contacted by a national retail maintenance company to deliver electrical solutions to retailers in Southern California.

Over the years, we expanded our services beyond electrical contracting. As we gained expertise and got to know our clients, we diversified our trades. Demand for additional services prompted us to secure a general contractor and plumbing license alongside our electrical license.

My father established his electrical contracting business in Covina even before I was born. Once we were able to handle a hammer, he took my siblings and me to his job locations. I fondly recall gathering scraps of wiring and conduit, crafting ""art"" with my siblings to pass the time while our father was busy.

We grew up with him leaving family functions to tend to emergencies, constant phone calls and meetings, and of course late work nights. Even though he was always busy, he was heavily involved in our lives, coaching our sports teams, making every play and being there when we needed him most.

When I graduated high school, my Father was serving residents and commercial locations in the San Diego area. I moved to San Diego and began working for my Father as his assistant. My responsibilities included assembling ceiling fans, installing outlets, wiring recessed lighting, and taking care of his scheduling and invoicing. Today, my siblings and I are at the helm and couldn't be happier.
