In 1980, Alison Service Company started as an electrical contractor with a focus on electrical wiring for retail and residential locations. In 1991, a national retail maintenance firm reached out to ASC to offer electrical services to retailers throughout Southern California.

As we progressed, we started offering additional maintenance and repair services beyond electrical work. As we gained expertise and got to know our clients, we diversified our trades. The request to provide more services led us to obtain a general contractor's and plumbing license in addition to our electrical contracting license.

Before I was born, my Father opened his own business as an electrical contractor in the Covina area. When we were old enough to hold a hammer, he took me, my older sister, and younger brother to his job sites. I cherish memories of discovering bits of wiring and conduit, creating ""art"" with my siblings to stay occupied while our father worked.

We experienced him stepping away from family gatherings for emergencies, receiving endless phone calls, attending meetings, and working late. Despite his busy schedule, he remained deeply involved in our lives, coaching our sports teams, attending every game, and being present when we needed him.

Upon graduating high school, my father was providing services to residents and businesses in San Diego. I relocated to San Diego and started working as my father's assistant. My responsibilities included assembling ceiling fans, installing outlets, wiring recessed lighting, and taking care of his scheduling and invoicing. Now, my siblings and I lead the company and couldn't be more content.
