During the storm that we are still dealing with, Albuquerque plumbing heating and cooling were the only people that we were able to speak to...and at 4am!
Very prompt, knowledgeable and reasonable
We will not hesitate to call if ever needed again

I have no idea of their plumbing skills, but I do know they're great at gouging. They charged us an exorbitant travel fee of $180.00, just to drive up from ABQ to where we live outside of Santa Fe, 104 miles round-trip.

Last month I had 2 men move a kiln from my house to ABQ and they charged $65. My husband does business out of state and is reimbursed 57 and 1/2 cents per travel mile. Miles to and from our house were 104, x 57 and 1/2 cents is $59.80. ABQ Plumbing charged us 3 times that.

We would not do business with them ever again.

They installed a hvac system a number of years ago and now claim the motor is going out. due to poor air flow. They quoted $5K for new motor or $15K for new system. Turns out it was a bad install on the original system and the tech who did the original install was fired. But now claim they will guarantee this proposed new work. I have tired to contact management numerous times at the company without success to just discuss the quotes. Be your own judge.

Six years ago I trusted Albuquerque Plumbing to install a high end Weil McLain high efficiency boiler to heat my home. the cost with tax was $19,997.13. When I turned on the boiler this year it would not operate, and water ran out of the unit. I turned it off and called Albuquerque Plumbing to have them come look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They refused to do so unless I paid them an additional $90. We should all think twice before making a significant investment with a company that won't inspect a problem with a unit they recommended and installed without charging a fee.

Needed to change out a broken Garage disposal --1st guy said is was broken--$90, we had determined it was broke. Next guy installed Garage disposal--$137+, water all over the kitchen, after he left, next guy removed plug in disposal--which you do when you have a dish washer

I am so thoroughly disappointed in Albuquerque Plumbing and Heating. After using this company to replace a hot water heater, a heater and an air conditioner, I contacted them after hours after discovering several feet of standing water in our crawl space. The answering service provided an 8 am appointment the next morning, but it turned out the answering service was confused and there was no 8 am appointment available. I waited a few extra hours for one of their technicians to be available. When he arrived and looked at the situation he said there was nothing he could do until the water was cleaned up and the crawl space was dry. The technician turned off the water to our house and charged me $90. I hired a water remediation company and rescheduled Albuquerque Plumbing and Heating to come out 4 days later V for the repairs. Our family moved into a hotel and began the wait for the water removal and eventual plumbing repair. On the day of the repair, the technician showed up several hours after the 1-3pm window without contacting us about the delay. He was openly unenthusiastic about climbing in the humid but now almost completely dry crawl space, told me it was a ""mess down there,"" and then said (after about 5 minutes) that he couldn't do the repair that day, he had to leave to another job and would email the estimate to me in 2-3 hours. It's been two days. I never received a written estimate or a call with explanation. I contacted the company and was told I would receive an estimate shortly. It never came. This is so incredibly disappointing to be left hanging without communication after almost a week of staying in a hotel with our two kids only days before the start of most challenging school year due to COVID, having to shuttle the kids around, continue to go to work as a healthcare provider AND meet the water remediation folks every morning. The owner of Albuquerque Plumbing and Heating should be ashamed of such poor customer service. If they did not want this challenging (and financially lucrative) job, they should have just told me. Instead, they flaked out. They have now entirely lost my business for my home and my rental property and all referrals to friends and family. They blew it. Do not hire them.

Be VERY careful if you cal ABQ Plumbing. The first time I called them, Eddie came. He was polite, honest and efficient. When I needed a plumber again, I called ABQ Plumbing and asked them to send Eddie. They did not.
I was not getting cold water in my washing machine, water from my shower was not coming out very forcefully and wasn't very hot. So, the guy they sent saw dollar signs when he saw me, a woman, and my upscale house. Everything he looked at, he said he needed to take out the wall, replace the pipes, and he HAD to sell me a circulating pump. I knew better.
He told me I wasn't getting hot water in my bathroom sink either. But he had the faucet handle in the cold position. I showed him and it pissed him off.
He told me he took my shower faucet off and checked the setting on the valve, but I don't believe him, since he told me he would have to get into the wall and replace pipes, which I knew wasn't true.
Again, in the laundry room, his only solution was tear out the wall and replace pipes. I may be a woman, but I know more than he. He just wanted to sell me the farm.
When I called ABQ Plumbing to complain about the guy they sent, I was attacked and told I could not disrespect their workers. Male chauvinist, greedy men, who think women are stupid.
The guy who came out, fiddled with my water heater, and caused a leak. The next morning, my garage was full of water. ABQ Plumbing told me they had pictures of my water heater and because the valve was going to fail anyway, they were not responsible.
Well, an honest plumber came out to fix the leak. The valve was corroded, but would have been fine if ABQ Plumber had not fooled with it. AND, the ABQ guy should have told me he had caused a leak. But no. He walked out without a word. What a jerk! He wanted to prove me wrong and show me I needed new water heaters and a circulating pump.
Every time I proved the guy wrong, he got nastier and nastier.
So, be warned! It appears ABQ Plumbing is out to sell you a bill of goods, whether you need it or not. I paid them their fee to come out. They refunded my money. But if I were not as knowledgable as I am, they would have sold me thousands of dollars worth of unnecessary work and equipment. How do places like this stay in business? Criminals! Shame on them!

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! Do not use. Charged us $100 to take cover off, we wanted filter replaced, they don't carry filters for Furnaces. Gave us a huge estimate of work they wanted to do. Didn't do a 30 Point inspection, but for a mere $100 they took the lid off the Furnace and showed us where the Filter was. Now this may not have been the technicians fault, he just works for the Company, but shouldn't he have said I can do a 30 Point Inspection for $130 ($30 more) because we got nothing out of the $100 but a request from them to spend more money. When you treat customers like that, why would we use you? This was handled terribly and I was very mad.

We called this company to charge our refrigerated air. Rude tech said compressor was bad and would quote us. Not before abruptly saying he had a family emergency and had to leave. He left our heater running and it would not stop unless we unplugged it. Called the office and he called to say he'd be by after dealing with his emergency. That was 2 weeks ago...crickets.
Turns out he shorted the thermostat, upped the service call charge from $130.00 to $655.70 (for a charge) and then wanted to quote us 2K for a new compressor.
Today, we had TLC here who diagnosed the shorted thermostat, replaced it, charged our A/C all at a decent price and with a smile and pleasant conversation.
As a person who works in the service field with techs, I know our company would not tolerate this.
Huge shout out to TLC for the great service!
Only choosing the one star because yelp made me.

I highly encourage you to listen to the real honest reviews on Yelp. My experience with this company has been a complete disaster, a waste of my time and money. Their technicians are incompetent. They can't diagnose the correct issue. They then will tell you 5 things that they will fix for you and each will cost you $600. Ask them if they can be certain that these fixes will solve your problem and you will know: No, we can't guarantee that. Why? Because they are incompetent, lying to you to trick you to cough up the $$$ for nothing. Why should I pay $$$ to pay for things that do not need to be fixed. The real problem is still going to be there. They play this game where they try to upsell you afterward, saying things like: ""If we can't fix your problem after these fixes, we will give you a discount to replace your entire system."" What??? Let me get this right: you are incompetent and then you want to replace the entire system for $12000? Of course, that makes sense because you can't fix anything, you don't know how to do it. Please don't fall for their trick. Once they replace your system, it starts breaking all over again, probably due to their incompetency when they installed it for you. Now, call them out and it's going to cost you more $$$ to look at the system that they just installed for you. That is, if you can get them to respond to your calls and emails. Stay away, far far away from this company. They sure know how to run their ads to make them look good, but they are terrible.
