Do not use this company for A/C repair. A technician charged me $225 for an ESTIMATE. He said that one of my units was INOPERABLE and quoted me for a new, several thousand $ unit. I sought a second opinion, and a technician from another company was able to FIX the unit within 10 minutes. When I do replace my A/C units, I will not purchase them from ABQ Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling.

We used this company for an issue at my office. The first plumber that was sent out was pleasant and appeared to be very knowledgeable. The problem was to fixed so we called them again to come back to complete the job. The second plumber was arrogant and fixed a toilet that did not have any issues. To add insult to injury they did not send a copy of the invoice. We had to request it. The parts cost more the second time but the invoice did not have the detail as to what parts we paid for. The problem with the running toilets is still ongoing but now they will not respond to our request for an explanation or another technician to do the 'warranty work'. I will never recommend a company who will not guarantee their work.

I only do this when I have either a great experience or a very horrible experience. In this case, horrible. I first want to start by saying that our first apprentice plumber Nate was great!!! He was there the entire time and did a great job.

I was calling them ahead of time by several weeks and was able to schedule to have a tech to come out to take a look at the area where we wanted a wash bowl to be installed. The problem is how long it took get the actual estimate since we needed to get this installed asap before opening day.

There seems to be some form of discrimination. My wife called SEVERAL times and was never able to get anywhere with them, I was within hearing distance and she did everything I would've done, but when I would call I was always able to get what was needed done. I don't understand why this was the case, other than I'm male and my wife is female. This was also the case when I called them later to dispute the invoice.

I had two plumbers arrive Nate and Gilbert. Gilbert had stated to me at one point in the day that it is his last day and his boss isn't happy about it. That was a red flag. This was mentioned when 80% of the work was already done. They arrived at 8:48am and then left because they forgot parts. Later returned at 10:18am and actually started the work. They left at 1:27pm when the work was ""completed"". They also apparently charge you for lunch breaks in the parking lot. That being said, in this link I clearly ask if the work that they are wanting to do will be the better and cheaper than the first initial option that was estimated: https://ring.com/share/90a647f6-7059-4c55-bcf3-acf210feb066
I am told yes, since the other route would be much more hours of labor and costly. When I got the invoice, it was for the original estimate and not for the actual work that was done. I called and spoke to manager by the name of JT, (who later refused to give his name to my wife) and he kept insisting on the price being provided to us as a favor and that the actual work that was done should have been much more due to labor. We explained to him that the actual hours work do NOT match the hours that we have recorded on video (video footage was not intentionally installed for them, that is just the location of where our security cameras are). Gilbert left several times to get parts. Let's say that they did need to travel to get the parts. Their main location is only 7 min away from our business and if they needed to go to a hardware store like Lowes, that is only 3 min away. Nate on the other hand was present 95% of the time. To top it off, the installation was NOT done correctly and they still had to come back the next day to re-do some of it. More hours that WE were charged for. That was not our fault that the work was not done correctly the first time. Even with the return of the plumbers the hours STILL do not add up correctly.

Instead of meeting in the middle or actually compromising to get billed correctly, JT was very combative and talked over my wife the entire time of the conversation. This was not done to me. Only my wife. As the video stated Gilbert had mentioned the water heater solution was going to be a cheaper alternative, but JT said that once I signed the estimate, that was going to be the price that was going to be billed regardless if it was going to be cheaper or not.

As a warning to consumers and other business, I would advise to stay away from this company, because they will charge you for products and services that are not provided. They really don't care for their customer or any perspective business as long as they get their money. They like to do ""bait and switch"". Clearly the business is quantity over quality. BEWARE!

I absolutely LOVE this company. We were shopping around for more reliable service for our home, and they were my first pick. Everything they have done for us has been top notch, and they are super professional yet down to earth and good people. Always prompt, polite, and they keep you updated on when they are coming. Hands down, the best plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical service in town.

Today's service was an electrical outlet upgrade, but we have also used them for other work. Every single technician and scheduling rep has been amazing.

If I could give them zero stars I would... At first I was excited because they were very responsive and were able to get me in same day during their emergency hours. The technician was able to diagnose the problem and narrowed it down to a broken capacitor. For a job that took not even 20 minutes I was charged over $600. That's not where I have the issue. The issue I have came not even three days later on Saturday June 11th when I woke up to a very loud noise and all of the power in our house shut off. I didn't think anything of it so I switched the breaker back on and went about my day which is bad on my part because I should have checked the AC but figured since the part was replaced not even three days ago it should have been fine. When I got home I realized my AC was not working and it was over 87 degrees inside on one of the hottest days this year. I called ABQ plumbing heating and cooling and was told I would not be able to get in until Sunday June 12th between 10-11am. Part of me knew something was wrong so I called another local business and he came out to take a look and found that the capacitor the technicians installed was clearly shoved against a metal line or wire and caused it to short circuit inside of my unit which fortunately for me just tripped the breaker and did not start a fire. Not only that we also found that the technician broke the terminal off the disconnect handle. Not only did I have to pay the $600 for their service I also had to pay over $1000 to fix the damages and mistakes they made.

They quoted me $4500 for a water heater replacement. $2500 of that was for the water heater. Found the exact same model for $500. Completely unreasonable, predatory prices.

Replaced a $15 capacitor on my AC unit (which they installed 3 years ago), took a total of 30 minutes and my bill was nearly $400. Used them a lot in the past but after this, I will be looking for a more reasonable contractor.

We have been using them for all our plumbing & heating needs for several years! I'm convinced they are the most knowledgeable techs in Albuquerque! Happy to recommend them!

Great service. Technician was timely, responsive and super courteous. He addressed all of our electrical needs. He moved furniture to access our halogen lights so we could get some more challenging halogen lights replaced. I highly recommend. We'll be using this company again for both plumbing and our electrical needs.

Terrible and dishonest company. I was experiencing a gas/sewer smell in my home. I called them to take a look. Tech came out and told me what the problem was, so we paid to get it fixed and decided to get a new water heater while we were at it. Shortly thereafter the smell comes back. The tech came back out so many times to try and diagnose the problem before he ultimately tells me he messed up and broke off an anode rod in our new water heater and that he'd submit it for a free replacement. Next thing I know, that tech isn't employed with the company anymore and another wants to come out and take a look. He tells my girlfriend that the problem is a gas leak and that they have to do expensive testing. Upset, I contacted the company and they sent out someone else. This new tech tells me it's not a gas issue and not a broken off anode rod, but something else he thinks he can fix reasonably easily. He told me it'd be a free follow up visit and if it was what he thought it was the fix would probably be free too because of how long we've had to deal with this problem. He comes back out starts looking at our situation. He asks if he can cut a hole in my wall to find the problem and I agreed. He then tells me it's a more complex issue than he can fix at this visit and that they'll have to get me an estimate for it. His assistant comes back with a tablet and asks me to sign a blank page. I asked him what I was signing and he tells me don't worry it was just to close out the visit and that I wasn't going to be charged. He even showed me one of the three documents showing a $0 charge. I get the documents via email and see that if we don't want to go forward with their estimates they want just shy of $200 for the visit both employees said was free. I've tried contacting the company and explaining the problem and they've been of no help. I've asked them to confirm we won't be charged for a visit we were told would be free and they've refused. To top it all off, the hole they put in my wall now floods my entire home and garage with sewer smell way worse than before. They never told me that was a possibility or that they wouldn't patch or plug it the hole.

It's unbelievable how terrible this company has been.
