I called out Albert Nahman to give me a quote on a new electric heater in a vacant rental. It took them days and days to come out finally on Jan 22 - and now on Feb 6 - we are still in a go-around . . . I called today to request that I get TWO new electric heaters for TWO apartments and I was treated very very very rudely by Albert Nahman personnel . . . Avoid this company . . . they are slow and they are rude and they are a BIG DRAG!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid almost $40,000 to Albert Nahman for a substantial amount of plumbing work during the renovation of my home.

More than 6 months after the job was complete, Albert Nahman sent me a bill for an additional $2000. I told Albert Nahman that I didn't agree with those charges, and I said I would be happy to come in, and provide evidence for why I think the charges were wrong.

Albert Nahman agreed to schedule a time to have me come in and told me they would get back to me. They didn't get back to me. When I called them back to remind them about this, they apologized and told me they would get back to me. Despite multiple phone calls to Albert Nahman, they never got back to me.

They eventually referred the bill to a collection agency.

If you disagree with Albert Nahman, they don't bother talking to you. They will insist you owe them money, and then they'll ruin your credit by selling the 'debt' to a collection agency.

These people are lazy and without honor.

Just an FYI as it's now been another 3 years - Water heater and systems still in place and functioning as normal!

A shout-out to Nahman technician Deepak Sharma for his quick response when my water heater of 20 years finally rusted through Friday afternoon before the Christmas holiday. Not only did he arrive to diagnose the problem, he came back the next morning and installed a replacement. Deepak was not scheduled to work that Saturday, but did so because we would otherwise have had to wait until Monday for hot water. Many thanks to Deepak and Nahman's for great service during a pre-holiday crisis.

Can not imagine a better response, starting with my call for assistance, response time and how the technician, Tad methodically diagnosed the problem. We have an obscure kitchen fixture that required service in Feb 2019. Under warranty the problem was easily diagnosed by me, a problem possibly caused by me and a replacement part sent and installed by Albert Nahman team. Problem: I broke the faucet cartridge. Current Problem: restricted hot water flow in this kitchen sink only. Turns out the new cartridge part is now malfunctioning. I called and Tad arrived taking a step by step approach ruling out possible causes: a clog here or there, build up of sediment, or blockage in the lines or cartridge. The company that sells the product got on the phone with Tad and they collaborated on the problem and the tech person gave Tad one more thing to try. After the collaboration it is agreed, problem persisted and therefore that new cartridge part is now malfunctioning and will be shipped free of charge in two days.

Thanks to all, who made this possible and I trust we will have Tad here again soon to finalize this fix. BTW, cost of service was less than expected given going rates for such a call lasting in excess of one hour. Another comment, spending time with Tad during the repair was a pleasure to have him explain, collaborate, listen and just chat. Questions on who to call next time, no question who I will call next time.

I have read criticism of costs:
In the Berkeley area
""How much does it cost to hire a plumber?
Some plumbers have a minimum fee for a service call. They might charge anywhere from $175-250 to come out and give you a consultation. Plumbers may give you a general service rate of $128-148 per hour when there are a lot of unknowns about a project and they aren't sure how long it will take. Some charge a flat rate for their plumbing services. For example, you may get charged $175 for a sink or drain cleaning, while toilet installation costs $500.""

Today costs are upfront, same as charges in Feb, $69 to arrive and assess the problem. Here in excess of one hour for $129 minus $25 coupon, total charge $173. I am ok and I expected these costs. If I was in Philly, where I grew up, I could call an uncle or cousin and get a better rate, a family rate. This is going rate for our area.

We had a good experience with the service provided by this company, including honoring a price given by the first plumber that ended up being lower than they normally would have charged. Everyone who came out was prompt and professional and informative.

However, their services are incredibly overpriced. We had them look at a few items that came up in our home inspection when we bought our house, including one of our toilets that was running. They quoted $400+ to replace the fill valve in the toilet. (For reference, I just bought one for $25 at Home Depot and can likely do it myself in less than an hour)

I think we overpaid for the work they did complete -- $800 for ~1hr of two people's time -- but as I was less confident I could do that myself, I went for it. Likely won't have them back for other work, as I'm sure it can be done more cheaply elsewhere.

Waste of time and money.
$972 quote to replace a P-Trap.
I am a property manager and sometimes need services for small jobs like replacing a P-Trap. But almost $1,000 for this is absurd. And I had to pay an $89 fee to find out this company is out of their minds.

Came out very last minute for an emergency pipe problem in the basement. Easy to schedule and they made it a priority to come out the next day to diagnose, then the following day to fix. The tech Rafael Yanez came out to remove the old piping and install and re-route a brand new system, as well as explain to me what the problem was. Tested while he was here and the new pipe was better material and a much better install job than the original pipe. He was very professional and made sure everything was 100% working and tested before leaving. Pricing a bit on the higher side, but you pay for quality, response time, and overall ease of knowing it wont break again. Quality of work speaks for itself.

We were burned twice by these people. They installed a very expensive water heater and did it wrong, so it blew in 5 years (it was supposed to last 15). They also check out our furnace and the ""technician"" could not even read the code--on a self-diagnosing piece of equipment! Total ripoff.

Do not, under any circumstances, use these people for anything ever! Total cowboys and a complete ripoff.

I've tried them twice now - first for a simple plumbing job, then to service my furnace. For the plumbing the spent 2 minutes to completely misdiagnose the problem; my dishwasher waste pipe was clogged but they decided they needed to fix the waste disposable for some reason. Then for my furnace, they spent 2 minutes looking then told me it all needed to be disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled (costing about $1000) or .. why didn't I get them to replace it? God no. They did change the filter, then left all their trash just lying in my basement for me to cleanup later.

Absolutely do not use.
