{I recently needed the technician from Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating to come out three times. There were three distinct problems, and Lonnie addressed every issue. I like the technician's diagnostic methods. He was logical, working in an organized way to find the root cause of the malfunction. You won't need to call him back for that issue. Currently, my plumbing system functions smoothly, and I also understand the reasons behind the malfunctions. Great job!

It was shocking to learn that the service provider reported us to a collection agency regarding a payment that we never received.

Currently, we are renting our previous home and reached out to them to address a heating issue our tenants were experiencing.

They could not respond for several days, so we opted for Altrol Heating and Air to handle the repair.

We did forget to cancel the service call, but the only action taken by Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating was to ring our doorbell, and they charged us $130 for this minimal service.

We would have disputed that charge because the fee is excessive for such a simple action to charge for ringing a doorbell.

However, we never got the chance as it was sent to collections before we were even aware of the charge.

This is a very unscrupulous way to run a company. There is no customer loyalty after we paid $15,000 for a new furnace just two years ago.

I should have read the feedback on Yelp prior to reaching out to Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating. I encountered the identical situation here, the plumbing service!

The situation was that a technician arrived and his sole action was to make the problem worse by changing a visible leak into an unseen leak and claimed that he addressed the issue. In the end, after a while, I was forced to engage a professional inspector to examine the property and it set me back in excess of $400 to install a new the entire system, plus the charge of $130 this subpar company billed.

I reached out to the plumbing service after dealing with a significant power interruption that left me without water. I informed them that I needed a technician to assess if pump priming was necessary or if my pipes were frozen.

The receptionist did not send a technician to my house. She told me that it must be frozen pipes and suggested I reach out to a company that specializes in thawing.

I decided to call the professionals at Alaska Best to send a technician. They quickly get the pump primed without delay. There were no frozen pipes whatsoever. This is a poor way to handle customer service.

Following the remodel of my bathroom, I handled the plumbing tasks. Then, we turned our attention to remodeling the kitchen. I installed a new garbage disposal and opted to hire a plumber to finish the plumbing connections. I called Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating to help with the plumbing.

A young technician arrived but had few plumbing parts with him. He charged me for making two trips to Home Depot to collect assorted PVC plumbing materials. He claimed he was finished, charged us $600, and left. The price for what he did felt too high.

The next time we used the dishwasher, it flooded our kitchen. I contacted Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating again for help. The same technician returned, took a quick look at the plumbing, and then left for Home Depot again. As he modified his work, he mentioned we might notice a sewer odor in the kitchen. We ended up smelling it. He billed us an additional $500.

He also took the components that were meant to connect the garbage disposal to the plumbing, which were on the counter. I told him I wanted those parts back. He went to his truck and returned with them. He misrepresented the work he performed. I felt cheated out of $1,100. After living here for 59 years, this was my most disappointing experience. I will never allow them in my home again. That's final.

After my experience with Altrol, I switched to Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating and I haven't faced any problems since.
