I did the plubing after a bathroom remodel. Next we remodeled the kitchen. I installed a new garbage disposal and decided to have a plumber finish the plumbing hook up and called Alaska best plumbing and heating. A young guy came out and had little or no plumbing parts. He charged me for two trips to Home Depot to get various PVC plumbing patts. He said he was done charged us $600 and left. The price for what he did was high, The next time we used the dishwasher it flooded our kitchen, I called again. The young guy came back looked at the plumbing a bit and off to Home Depot again. When he modified his work he said we might get a sewer smell in the kitchen. We did. He then charged us another $500. He also took the parts that had on the counter that came with the garbage disposal to connect to the plumbing.I said I want them back. He went to his pick up truck and brought them back. He lied about the work he did. An $1,100 screw job. 59 years here and thank goodness it was my first worst experience. You will never be in my home again. Period.

I had to have Lonnie come out 3 times lately. But it was 3 separate problems and he solved all 3 of them. I like his trouble shooting methods. He is logical, proceeds step by step and finds the source of the problem. You don't have to call him back for THAT problem. Now my system works very well and I also understand why things were malfunctioning. Good job!

I called them after I had no water from a long power outage. I let them know I wanted then to come evaluate if I needed pump priming versus pipes frozen. The receptionist wouldn't even send someone to my house, she told me it must be frozen pipes and to call a thawing company. I had Beckley come out and they were able to prime the pump in a very quick manner. No thawing or frozen pipes here. What a way to lose business

I moved into a new (older) house recently and had some plumbing issues left over from the previous owners. I had used Alaska Best years ago before moving away for some years. So I decided to call them. They came quickly in the middle of a busy time and, though it has taken multiple visits to cover all the issues, they have worked with me and have resolved all the issues so I can feel confident about the status of the plumbing in this house. They obviously care about their customers and do a great job!

They have always treated me well and are always super nice and explain everything when I ask about whats going on. After being screwed over by altrol and switching to them I havent had any issues. Everyones super helpful and I love them!

I wish I had read the reviews on Yelp before I contacted this business. Same experience here, Alaska Worst Plumbing! What happened here was a guy came and the only thing he did was to make the problem worse by turning a visible leaking into an invisible one and claimed that he fixed the problem. Eventually (after a few months) I had to hire a licensed engineer to inspect the house and cost more than $400 to replaced the whole unit, in addition to the $130 this worst company charged.

Alaska Best Plumbing and Heating reported us to a collection agency for a bill that we never received. We are currently renting our former home and called them to come look at a heating issue our tenants were having. They couldn't come out for several days so we had Altrol Heating and Air make the repair. We did forget to cancel the service call but all Alaska Best Plumbing and Heating ever actually did was ring the doorbell....for which they charged us $130. We would have disputed that because that is an exorbitant amount of money to charge for ringing a doorbell. We never got the chance however because it went to a collection agency before we ever even knew we were being charged. Very unscrupulous way to run a company. No customer loyalty after we paid $15,000 for a new furnace just two years ago.
