I was having a problem with the sewer backing up next to the house ,and was calling around to different plumbers. Got a fast call back from this firm and made a appointment.
They arrived first thing , and had the job done within an hr.
They told me the problem (tree roots) and gave me some hints on how to avoid future problems (don't flush dental floss!).
BTW this was 3 years ago and, I have had no problems since.

I had a small piece on my bathroom sink faucet that needed replacement, and Maurl came out to look at it. They charged me $127 just to come look at the bathroom and check it out. Then Maurl took me to the store where we ordered the new part, which should have arrived within a few weeks. The part arrived 5 weeks later and was the wrong part, so he had to order a new part which would take another 5 weeks. When I called back after this second 5 weeks, I got an automated response from Maurl that he was out of the country for a month! What? So then I had to call the main line and tell them my story, and of course no one knew what was going on because apparently they don't keep paperwork on orders and details of each job. So I have to call back a bunch of times to re-explain my situation, and eventually had to just wait till Maurl came back and fixed this....almost 3 months after that fact! NOT A GOOD SITUATION. Luckily the office understood that this was complete bullshit because they gave me half off the maintenance, though the job still cost me over $200...

After reading all the great reviews I decided to hire this plumber for resetting a wobbly toilet with a new wax ring. First of all, they were almost 30 minutes late, past their appointment window of 8-9am. Shortly after the plumber departed, I noticed a leak coming from the toilet tank. I called the company and requested that the plumber return to fix it, as it was certainly a direct result of the plumber moving the toilet during the course of his work. The plumber said that he could not return because he had other appts out of the area. THEN, HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR COMING BACK TO REPAIR A PROBLEM THAT HE CREATED! When I told him I was reluctant to pay additional money for the obvious reasons, he proceeded to insult my integrity and principles AND told me to find another plumber to finish the job!

A very frustrating and disappointing experience. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

We had a great experience with this plumbing company. I called on a Saturday evening, after 7 p.m., after trying other plumbers. The plumber (Mauro) came out, took care of the sewage line problem, and helped us figure out what to do, as in call the city to come out and clear the main line. I do not know much about plumbing and we got good, reasonable, prompt service without getting taken for a ride. I am so happy with this company and the great service.

I had clogged our kitchen sink with lots n lots of food :( and so I called the company and they sent out Mauro to come in and snake the drains out for me! He was fast and out of here in no time! Thanks :)

My sewer backed up (of course) on memorial day weekend. I yelped and found this company, and wow! I called them, the operator told me she would check and get back to me in 3 minutes with an estimated time. I thought I heard 3 but figured she must have said 30, because what plumbing company calls back in 3 minutes?! She did, a plumber arrived in less than an hour, he did a great job, and charged me $80 less than a previous plumber did for a week night. Not only that, he was very nice and very handsome, cleanly attired and cleaned up the entire mess. I will always use this company.

So, I woke up on a Saturday morning, looking forward to a 40 mile bike ride through the east bay hills. I quickly got ready, grabbed my water bottles, Cliff bars, and headed down to the garage to get my bike. I opened the storage room where we keep the bikes and WHAM! The stench was revolting. That's all I'm gonna say.

I called Alansi's based on the two reviews here (at the time), and they quoted me a window of 1-3, but an hour later, they called, and by 11:30, Mauro was here. I showed him the problem, and he was able to snake the drain in no time, and recommended a simple above-ground plumbing change that would make future clean outs better and easier. He was clean, efficient and far better than many of the other rooter-type companies I've used in the past. I recommend them without hesitation.

Mauro came out and did a great job clearing out the main line from the house. I went down the list on yelp, leaving messages with all the plumbers in the El Cerrito area, and before anyone else even returned my call, Alansi's had the job done with a positive attitude.

And the work is guaranteed for two months.
