They understood the vital role that quality water plays in homes and for families. Their commitment was to offer top-notch service and to regard every customer as family. It wasn’t long before Alamo expanded from a small shop to a recognized leader in water treatment in the San Antonio area. Allen passed away in 2017, but he laid a strong foundation that continues to thrive. Today, AWS expands by maintaining strong relationships with local manufacturers and homeowners, while working to set the standard by offering the best products for today’s water. Recommended Customer Reviews

I bought a water softener unit and reverse osmosis system from them last year. Today they did an annual inspection of both systems and replaced the filter cartridges and re-mineralization cartridge. Technician explained everything to me. Excellent service. I highly recommend

Great service. Contacted me back quickly and came out to diagnose my issue quickly. I appreciate the service.

We had anew water softener and a water heater installedand the crew did a good job. Thet left a little bit debris and didnt finish the whole job. I spoke with the salesman who said "I'll take care of that for you" He came out to check out the job, and when he saw the unfinished part of the job he said" our plumber said it could cause rust bit we will do it if you want" itsbeen over a week since the install, they got my money, mission accomplished. While hewas here he quoted a prive for an RO system, but has not sent an estimate. When I called office to inquireabout it, they said they don't have it. The quoted a price almost $250.00 or 300.00 more. They came highly recommended, but bee careful double check job before giving up your money! I am making this a 5 star, up from a 3 star! After the manager, Matthew I believe stepped to plate and found solutions for my problems, and explained things that I had not known. He hit it out of the park! We are getting an RO system and are very happy, now that everything'staken care of. I have to highly recommend AWS because they are honest and will make it right! THANKS AWS

Quality - Nearly two months, we are quite pleased with the product (full water softener and RO system).
Value - Based on the previous model we had, Life Source (which I would never recommend), I think this surpasses in every way to deliver a great product.
Service - This is where AWS lost a star. For the most part (and I do mean most) they have an excellent team. They are eager to please and attentive to our needs.
In our case we had a sales rep, Steven J. that came out and did an excellent presentation of the product and thorough testing of our water. There was absolutely no pressure. In fact, he left and we had not made a decision. It was after some more research that we called back and decided to go with AWS. The unfortunate piece, and no one's fault was delay in delivery, some 30-days later. Numerous emails were sent to Steven and he did not respond. He said that the installed would be handled by Master Plumbers which was not the case. We ended up reaching a point person at the main office to correspond with.
The techs (a senior & junior) arrived and did an excellent job. Senior knew exactly what he was doing. I think the guy could have done it blindfolded. He was excellent. He said he was certified and trained in the softeners, but not a master plumber. And by his application of expertise, there was no doubt that he was well trained. They did their job and left the area clean.
The softener is wifi capable, but they had to send someone else out to get it set up. Eventually it happened and while the app is not all that spiffy, it is nice to have.
A few weeks into it, Steven came back out and tested the water and it did maintain a better reading which was proof the system was working as it should. I can say our previous Life Source never did that and we paid much more.
The people at the company, like Theresa, are a gem to work with. I reached out to her many times to see the status of the arrival of the unit. She was pleasant and patient. Note, if I didn't reach out, she did and kept us apprised of when it would be shipped.
Finally, after reading some of the bad reviews, such as leaving the area messy, or the high cost of the system - all i have to say about that is if something doesn't appear right to you, contact the AWS staff. They will work with you. Find a point person to work with. As far as cost, it is reasonable, go to a home show and do a comparison, that's what we did. And service charges, 15-minutes or an hour, gas is costly, the work and expertise these techs have comes at a price.

They charged me $125 to come out to my house for 15 minutes just to tell me that they did not work on my model of water softner. Then they sent me a $5,000.00 quote to replace it with one that they did work on. All I needed was a tune-up, it's working fine. All this should have been worked out up front on the model etc. I'll never use them again or recommend them to anyone in my military community.

Very professional and courteous staff. AMAZING communication always making sure any questions and concerns are addressed immediately. Experienced and good hearted people. And my water filtration and reverse osmosis work great! But I don't recommend the alkaline filter because water squirts and is cloudy. Reverse osmosis now works great without it. Erica was my sales rep and Sergio installed.

They installed a basic water softener in our new house and were about
$1000 under the competition. Everyone I dealt with exhibited exceptional knowledge. I strongly recommend them.
However, in my opinion it is easy to buy more water treatment than you really need . I needed to remove hardness to protect pipes and other areas that scale up. They offered several options that did that and more, including reverse osmosis. I stuck with what I originally asked for.

I had a water softener installed a couple of years ago by this company. My water was feeling a little weird- so I called to get the equipment checked. James came out, checked the water pressure and adjusted the pressure reducing valve, corrected that timer on the unit, explained everything about the regeneration process and gave me tips to help my system perform properly. Also tested the water hardness and everything was working properly. No upsell, just adjusted what was needed, tested the water, provided education and was very kind, friendly and informative in the process. Very happy with the service and the very low cost. Will recommend.

The water softener I have came with the house and was installed by this company. It's at 10+ years old and was not working as well as it needed to be working. I scheduled a maintenance for it to see what could be done to improve its performance. I sent a request through the website and was called the next day to schedule the appointment. They sent a text with the appointment information, sent a text reminder the day before and on the day of the appointment I was sent a text with the name of the technician that would be coming along with their picture. The technician even called me to let me know he was 10 minutes away, his name was Parker. Parker was very polite and informative during the visit. I watched him test the water and we discovered the water was harder than I thought. Worried about another big appliance expense, I asked what the most economical solution was to the problem. He was very understanding and explained he could Rebed the current water softener at the fraction of the price of getting a new one. He completed the rebedding quickly and even replaced a seal that was leaking free of charge. Is greatly appreciated that I was not charged for the maintenance visit, I was only charged the cost of the rebedding. The next day I noticed the change in both water pressure and softness of the water when I took a shower. I was very happy with the quality of service and integrity of the technician. I highly recommend this trustworthy and efficient company.

So many other companies in the area that AWS should be last on your list. To begin with, they left my laundry room and garage covered in dirt, PVC pipe pieces, nails, and screws when they installed the water softener. They made 0 attempt to clean up.
I called to complain and they sent someone out to half ass clean up. I'm still finding nails and anchors around the corners of my garage from their install 6 months ago.
They also incorrectly installed my RO causing it to make loud noises and refuse to correct it.
They I receive an automated email that it's time to refill my salt. After scheduling an appointment the tech comes out and says I don't need any salt, but he needs to leave the bags which cost 2x Lowes price because I ordered them. So why'd I get the email?
Pure incompetence.
