I called Aladdins Magic Plumbing for an estimate to replace a hot water heater in my condo. I have a 40 low boy water heater. It is shorter than the normal size water heater. I was given an estimate of $1075.00 to replace the hot water heater. I also asked for an estimate to repair or replace the valves in the shower in my guest/master bathrooms. The estimate for the shower valves were $1357.00. When I saw the written estimate, the salesman could tell that I was not interested and charged me a $40.00 service fee for coming out to give me an estimate. I was not informed by anyone when I called Aladdin to make an appointment that there was a 40.00 service fee to come out and give me an estimate. If I would have known, I would not have wasted their time or mine. I called the owner/manager of Aladdins and told him that I was not informed of a service fee charge of $40.00. The owner/manager said he would wave the fee, but I already paid the salesman with cash and I will likely not receive the money back. When the owner/manager asked me what quote was, he said he thought it sounded too high. I have never written a review on a company before, but I do read them. This is the first time, but felt the need to warn any other future customers of the hidden $40.00 service fee just for an estimate and the over the top charge to replace a hot water heater.

I am impressed with this company. Recently our A/C went out (of course during the summer's hottest temperatures) & he came out right away. He was very organized & personable. He had us up & going within an hour but noticed another item about to go. He suggested replacing it before it went or we would have a bigger problem on our hands. He showed me the item & it was rusted & corroded. He came back at the appointed time (communication is great with this company). He kept me posted as to what was going on while he was working. He changed the item & showed me the bottom of the old one where oil was already leaking. His name is Lee & the person that helped us over the phone was Iris. Just wanted to say thanks to them & it was refreshing to find somebody that cares. Hope this helps anybody in the Melbourne/Palm Bay/etc areas in Florida.

I am thoroughly disgusted with this company. My A/C which was installed by the previous owner of my condo still had a parts warranty on it. Called this company when my A/C started blowing warm air. They responded quickly, however the technician was unfriendly, sarcastic at times and smelled like a smokehouse. Left a message twice with the owner to discuss the problem I was having with the technician but he never responded back. The technician did something and the A/C worked but he said I needed another part. Never got back to me. Two months later I had the same problem with my A/C. With the temperature at 80 in my condo and rising, I called them again and was put on hold. When she came back I was told it would take 3 weeks for them to come out to look at my A/C. Never heard from the owner.

WOW! This company is outstanding. My water heater started leaking Monday morning. When I called, they dispatched a technician to my home within 2 hours! The guys were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They had the new water heater installed in less than an hour and they clean up after themselves. I called back several times (Yes, I'm a pain in the...) to ask more questions of the dispatcher. She was a pleasure to talk to. I was quoted a price and that's what I paid...not a penny more. I highly recommend Aladdins to anyone needing a plumber.

Have had the pleasure of doing business with Aladdins Magic a few times now this year. They managed to remedy what other companies had not over the past several years. They go above & beyond to find the problem. Hope we don't have to call a plumber for years. I'd give them a 5 Star if I knew this was the case. :) Dispatch is personable and Austin the plumber knows what he is doing! He'll fix your problem. Have only used them for plumbing but the next time we have an air conditioning problem we will be calling them.
