This is a terrible company. My general contractor arranged for them to come and snake out the main line at my house, but when they arrived they INSISTED there was no clean-out installed, and that they would have to install one for $1200 on the spot. I was sure that I had already installed a cleanout years ago, and pleaded with them to look thoroughly around and under the house for it. They gave a cursory look for about a minute, and insisted there wasn't one. Moreover, they tried to encourage me to go ahead and have them replace ALL the drains under my house, to the tune of about $3-5K to reduce future need for snaking. They were not even at my place for 15 minutes, and within that short time tried to scare me into thinking I needed major work NOW. Saying I need to think about it, they left and I called another company I have used before. They came right out, and immediately found the cleanout, just inside a small door next to my back porch--it did not even require going under the house to do the job. I asked about replacing the drains, and was told the sensible thing to do is to get a camera inside to take a look, and only replace it if it looks necessary. I also asked what they would charge to install a new cleanout if there had not been one and they said it would be only about HALF of what the Al & Robin's company wanted to charge. The technician from Al and Robin was ""Sam"" according to the written estimate they left. In the end, it cost me $185 to snake out my line from the existing and easy to find cleanout, not the $1200+ that this company was so eager to charge me. They technician kept apologizing for giving me so much bad news, saying he was just the messenger--give me a break, Sam, just do diligent work and give your clients accurate information instead of alarming them and trying to scare them into paying huge amounts of money unnecessarily.

I have been doing business with this Plumbing repair company for 10 years. They always respond to my calls quickly . ( Today they responded in 1 1/2 hours.) There work over the years has consistently solved the problem. They are neat, clean there work is like new .
If you want quality repairs call Al and Robin Torres Plumbing and Air Conditioning you will be pleased with their work.
Today Sam repaired a leak in the main sprinkler valve . Sam knows plumbing ! Is friendly and professional. He made my Easter Holiday. Glendale water and power had contacted me about this leak, explaining the traumatic water loss.



10-17-17 Again, very pleased with Sam and his co-worker Samuel. They came out replaced two very old toilets and of course cleaned up after like always. My house is older and I appreciated Sam's suggestion for the replacements toilets. We also discussed our future plumbing changes and Sam made some valuable suggestion. As always they earn five stars. Al and Robin Torres plumbing and heating was prompt on answering my phones calls as well as sending plumbers to my residence to access all issues I had been having with my plumbing. I have an older home which needed many upgrades and replacements especially with plumbing. The team of plumbers Sam, Josh, German and Samuel all had have come to work on my home and they are well experienced, knowledgeable and very friendly. I had called on them for many jobs within the last few years. I needed a new water heater, they replaced it. My water line to the fridge had corroded, they replace that as well. And just this week an old pipe that ran to the back yard burst. They located that old 1950 pipe under the ground which ran underneath the house. It was fix quickly and now is working beautifully. You can definitely trust them on getting the job done right!!

I have been using Al & Robin Torres plumbing and heating for years. I have a Glendale home built in 1931, so there are always weird issues coming up. Just this past week I had to replace my old oven. The old one was electric and I wanted gas. Sam came over with his team ( after coordinating all of this ahead of time) and ran the gas line and installed the oven. Of course there were issues with the delivery, etc. but Sam stayed right there and made sure everything went smoothly including going back to his house to get an appliance dolly because the idiots at Pacific Sales
(Best Buy) would not bring the oven in the house because they were not installing it (!!)
Anyway I am always calling them for big jobs and small. Electrical and Plumbing. They are the best. Totally recommend them.

I had my kitchen and bathroom remodeled. Robin was such a great help in finding me the paint, tile, cabinets and all the accessories I needed for the job. Her crew did a good job
and always cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Awful! Awful! Awful!!!! Absolutely the worst!! Not just once, but three times!!! Ugh! Makes me SICK, especially that horrid monster Lori Richardson!! She is the rudest, most offensive person i have ever talked to! My AC was broken so the tech Jon and another guy comes out, takes a look, and tells me we have a broken AC part, so he will go buy it and comeback to install it. He said he will comeback in ONE day.

Then next day, no call. I decide to cut them some slack bc they are probably busy.
Three days pass, no call! But it is the 4th of July weekend and everyone is away!
After the weekend, I call. Lori answers and has NOOOO freakin clue. She says SHE will call Jon and then call me back. I ask for Jon's number. She won't give me his number!
I wait, no call! I call back and she says he is too busy to talk so she still has no clue. Instead of APOLOGIZING for their freaking mess up, she tells me I have to wait another week and a half as if I were a first time customer! Excuse me, you rude ass! You guys were suppose to have come and fixed my AC one week ago! You mess it up, don't even apologize and now tell me to wait another week and a half?

I shoulda known these bastards were full of shit and just gone with a different company. But I try to be understanding since a neighbor had recommended them to me as a really good company. I grit my teeth and make an appointment for a later date. THAT day was today! They never came! When I called them, stupid LORI said ""You didn't answer your phone and confirm to us that you are home right now. So we never sent the technician out."" Excuuuuse me??? I am at work! I am busy! I won't be answering personal calls during work! I told her my boyfriend was home the whole time working from home. They didn't ever tell me to ""Wait for a phone call from us! We will totally screw you over and cancel your appointment again if you don't pick up your damn phone telling us you are home!"" Last time, they did NOT call. Jon just came on the appointment time like all the other damn AC companies!

Then, Lori refuses to send the AC person to our home, even though she had said that he will be here sometime from 10a to 12p and it was 12p right now! Last time, she said she will make sure to schedule ""Extra time"" for Jon to work at my house. So he must have been scheduled till later than freakin 12p!

Such bullshit!! I am soooo angry at their sucky customer service and sucky work ethics. They can't even remember the customer they were suppose to return to and pushes them aside like a piece of litter.

The absolute worst people and service ever! Ugh.

Very disappointed in service and time taken to complete job. Left my home to run errands while they working and came back find marks from shoes/hands on my walls/bed. Needless to say would never hire this company again.

This Company, Al & Robin Torres Plumbing & Heating is a price gouging, rip-off outfit of the 1st degree!!! They have few if any morals or scruples when they are dealing with a senior homeowner that has a problem.
In February of 2012 my water heater died, and I called Torres. They came over and installed a new 50 gal. water heater for $1400. That's Right $1400! At the time I thought that was a little excessive, but I needed and paid the price.
Now the real fun part. The first week of December 2016 I noticed a leak below the water heater and called Torres. They came over and told me that the water heater was OK, it just needed some part that they would order and come back and install it. Well that sounded to me like I really did not need to replace the water heater and I would not be out of pocket very much money. A week later Torres called and said they had the part and would come over and install it for $650. It did not take me a second to figure that now I would have $2,050 invested in a 4yr old water heater. I told them I thought I could get a new one for not much more than $650. I was told it would cost a lot more. (And it probably would have if I had them do the job). In the 4 years since dealing with Torres Plumbing I had a couple of plumbing jobs done by ""Hart 2 Hart"" plumbing, so I called them. Now get ready for this. ""Hart 2 Hart"" installed the very same 50 gal water heater, 4 years later for, wait for it, $995. Total. When I questioned using the same brand water heater, I was told that they are really very good and I probably just got a defective one. Unless you like to overpay. $$$$$ Do Not Use Al & Robin Torres Plumbing!

Came to a project of mine to inspect the main sewer line. They came on time and have us a ton of advice. They took part in helping solve a problem that had plagued the homeowner for many many years.

They are a great company and very honest.

Torres rebuilt my old 1940's floor heater that sits behind & under brass grates between two rooms, under the hardwood.. They are prompt. efficient and
Sam & partners were respectful of my home: They scraped feet on the mat before entering & wore paper slippers over their workboots.
The rebuild and installation happened within the few days that were specified.

There was a bit of an issue with an aroma --I got nervous, turned off the heater, opened all windows & called So. Cal Gas. Gas company said the smell was just dust & cobwebs that had never been shaken up or cleaned out, Old unit emitted no smell at all, so Torres came back within a couple of hours after receiving an email about the new smell. With the same efficiency and consideration, the heater got a good vacuuming.

The cleaning was just done & it''s too warm for heat right now, at this typing. I'll amend this, if I must, when the weather gets colder and the heat's on--but as of right now:
Happy with the quality of work and the service and care by all.
