Al has taken care of all of our plumbing needs since 2021 when our kitchen and master bathroom renovation contractor destroyed parts of our house and parts of our plumbing. For the next 2 years we had a ton of plumbing issues and Al has fixed all of them. He has installed a new water heater, a new water softener, fixed the botched plumbing in our master shower, and installed a new sump pump. He's also come out to fix little things not related to our renovation - like a bathroom shower head with low water pressure. Whenever we contact him, he gets back to us very quickly and gets to our house quickly, also. He's friendly, affordable, very knowledgeable, and is always there to answer any questions or concerns we have. We would recommend him to anyone needing a great plumber!

I contacted Al in regards to replacing my hot water heater and installing a water softener. After sending pictures and giving additional info he was able to give me a quote the same day. He came out to install the hot water heater that day since we did not have hot water and then returned the next day to do the water softener. Communication was great- quick and concise. The work was excellent, he was very friendly, and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend and feel relieved to know who I will call in the future if I am needing a plumber!

I don't have enough words to convey how unprofessional and unreliable Al Hopkins is. We had used both he and his son multiple times with no problems. However, when we came home to flooding due to a faulty sump pump (that he had just installed 8 months prior) Al could not even take the time to answer his phone. He loved to text.... and even after repeated requests from both myself and my husband for him to please CALL us instead to go over our options, he continued to just text us paragraphs. He NEVER called us. We simply wanted to know how to proceed, if he could please come out and look at the sump, and whether the issue would fall under the 5 year warranty. He finally offered to send a worker out. When the worker got there he looked at the sump and said that he didn't know what went wrong and that Al would need to look at it! The flooding wasn't extensive enough to involve insurance, but apparently instead of calling us to find that out, Al welcomed us to pursue legal action (via text of course) if we wanted. Ha! What?? Needless to say we will NEVER deal with him again. We were able to contact another plumber (who we had never used) and he came out the same day, replaced the faulty sump pump FOR FREE, and even warrantied it out for us with no issue at all. I've never left a review before, but I hope this will help deter any future customers of Al Hopkins Plumbing.

I would give Al's two out of five stars. The reasoning for this is the horrible communication from Al's end. We worked directly with Al himself. His work was quality! He was very honest with us about what was happening and the actual job itself was done well.

However... His communication skills were awful. When I called to inquire about the job, he texted me back and asked how he could help me. I had sent pictures and told him what was going on and he offered to come over in a few hours to fix a job. Great! Then... Once he got our check, he was nearly impossible to communicate with. Before he had our money he was texting responses within minutes. After he got our check, and did not contact our homeowners warranty company for us, we would go days without hearing from him. It was incredibly frustrating. He got his $ and was done! Just didn't seem honest.

In the future we will definitely work with a DIFFERENT plumber, maybe even pay a little more money, for the security of good communication skills.

We needed a water softener installed in our new house and had a few estimates done. I reached out to him on Monday and he was able to have someone come out Tuesday for an estimate. Our softener was installed today (Wednesday). Quick response time and very punctual. The work was completed in the time frame I was provided with and for the cost I was quoted. I would definitely recommend them for any of your plumbing needs.

Unprofessional and Unreliable. Luckily, I contacted him to confirm our appointment and he said he couldn't make it. I reminded him that I made special arrangements for the time to work and asked if he could make it work. Nope was the answer and no apology was offered. I wasted a week thinking he was going to take care of my repairs.

Al Hopkins has done a variety of jobs for both myself, friends and neighbors of mine and they all have thanked me for the reference. He does what he says he's going to do when he says he'll do it. His prices are more than fair and He is ALWAYS my first call. Most of the time I'm surprised how quick he gets to me considering the quality work he does... I'm sure he is the first call for most people he has done work for. Al Hopkins Plumbing would get 6 stars in my book! Thanks for the quick work of the water heater replacement last week Al!!!
