LAZY OR DOESN'T KNOW THEIR BUSINESS??? Makes we wish there was a negative star rating. Completely unhelpful. Premium price for NOTHING. Back in December/January we had a slow shower drain that got progressively worse until we had water up to the ankle even before the water would warm up. It backed up water enough to wet the carpet in an adjacent room. We had to get to the figure it out and fix it, or risk expensive water damage. After having another plumber unsuccessfully try to diagnose the issue we called AKV Plumbing. After an hour and a half of plunging the drain and using his video snake to examine the inside of the pipe, Sherlock the plumber could only determine that there was some kind of partial blockage. I knew that every time I took a shower... He was able to determine the approximate location of the clog... under the slab which would require ripping out part of the floor... He then offered that the blockage might be cleared from outside which would require digging, but he had no idea where to begin. Oh, and the BASIC charge to dig was $500 which got the equipment on site and only two hours of digging. Long story short he really didnt offer any viable solution that wouldn't end up costing thousands with absolutely ZERO guarantee he could fix it. But that didn't stop him from billing me for over $600, $300 of which was for his fancy video scope of the pipe. I was absolutely disgusted! Thankfully my employer lent me a small excavator and starting where the septic exits the house we dug. 4 hours later everything was exposed. I discovered that the septic tanks needed pumped out, that was $250, and I used a water hose and special attachment to clean the pipe with high pressure. I also rebuilt the clean out so I can service in the future without digging. The septic tank people recommended some stuff called Hair and Grease. It's really WORKS! Once i was satisfied there was no more blockage, I put the dirt back. Total with tools, parts and all I only had about $350 in it; would have been about what I paid AKV if I'd had to rent the excavator. It would seem like a PROFESSIONAL plumber shoulda been able to do what I did... you'd think... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY WITH AKV PLUMBING!

Horrible business, don't waste your time. Will not show up for appointments. Keeps their voice mail full so you cannot contact them. I tried to hire them to fix my hot water heater, which they originally installed. They came and looked at it and never heard back from them. I have been waiting 2 months. Don't waste your time.

Called about sewer problem, gave me a time never showed up, or called. Called them the next day, he apologized gave me a new time never showed up, or called... Seems to happen to quite a few folks. Check out Google reviews and you will see the same thing. I wish I had seen those before calling them!

My mom called this plumber when her house was flooded in Corsicana. He came out initially and spoke to her son-in-law about the issues. And that was over a week ago. She has since barely been able to reach him. He claimed to have returned a call but she did not receive one from him. No voicemail either. He will only speak to her son-in-law and not my Mom herself. Super frustrating as she is very anxious to get her plumbing issues resolved since more rain is constantly coming down and she could get flooded again. This company has lost our business due to lack of customer service and not returning calls.
