I am so glad we contacted this company to repair our second floor bathroom leak. It turns out the water was coming from a poorly seated toilet, and every time we flushed....yuck.! It was dripping into the first floor ceiling. The company sent 2 workers to my home, which is great because you don't want one man trying to lift and remove a heavy toilet. These young men were clean and well groomed and they were polite; they even wiped their shoes when they came in my house. Not only did they get the job done quickly (I hate paying for people to stand around and gab or check their Facebook when I'm paying by the hour). Oh and my favorite thing; they had what they needed to get the job done on the truck. No leaving to go to the part store!! After they were done the completely cleaned up. No water was left on the floor and no tile grout (removed to lift the pot) was scattered around. It was like they were never there. Thank you for being professional. Thank you for sending people who I can understand. And thank you for doing the job right the first time!

Excellent service, very professional and knowledgeable. Sal Calabria, owner of AK Plumbing, has bailed us out a few times. Over the last 13 years, we had a few repairs, such as replacement of a kitchen garbage disposal unit, replace a water heater, and assorted problems with pipes and drainage. His service is impeccable, and his prices are reasonable. We recently moved to Georgia - have not yet found this quality of service in this area.

Everything written here by others is true, Sal is a very nice guy. Here is what they failed to mention. Sal will quote you a price verbally before he starts a job and then give you a different price when he has completed the work. In my case the price changed by 33% and he did not run into any issues, nothing changed on the job. In addition, at Sal's request I purchased everything required for the install of my hot water heater. The heater, the connections, gas pipe, etc. When he completed the job he charged me $150 for """"parts"""", I assume that was the 6 copper connections he supplied. It was crazy, no breakdown, just """"parts"""". Sal was working with his partner, Brian, also a really nice guy. Trouble is, Brian is more of an apprentice and it's apparent in the speed of his work. As an example, it took Brian about 1 1/2 hours to cut and sweat a copper pipe that needed to move about 12 inches. In summary, here is my experience. Sal quoted me (verbally) a reasonable price for the labor and asked me to provided the needed materials. Sal showed up with Brian, an apprentice. Brian moved at a snails pace and took an unreasonable amount of time to perform simple tasks. When completed Sal gave me a bill that was the total hours he and Brian worked times their rate of $95 and added an additional $150 for """"parts"""". If you don't mind paying $150 for $10 worth of materials and $95 an hour for a guy that wants to learn how to be a plumber one day then AK Plumbing is the place to call.
