Absolutely impressed! I had several issues with the lawn sprinklers in our Redwood City home. Noticed the great yelp reviews for AJS so we contacted Gail (wonderfully helpful) and made an appointment for the following week. Kenny and his assistant not only showed up on time, they were actually a bit early! They were professional, knowledgeable and quite pleasant. Within a couple hours, all repairs were complete and we were good to go. To anyone reading this, if you need repair, Kenny and crew are the way to go!

Awesome customer service! Gail helped me out over the phone figuring out valves when one sprinkler zone went on accidentally and would not turn off. Kenny then came out to our house and diagnosed the problem with irrigation switch board and reconfigured the irrigation systems very quickly. In retrospect, it was a small problem but I was very impressed with the responsiveness and service, and I would highly recommend AJS!

Very competent and profession people, just a little pricey.

I called these guys to fix a problem that another company created. A previous contractor had broken some of the PVC pipes that came out of my sprinkler system and they ""fixed"" them. Unfortunately they did not fix them correctly. I only found out after I made some changes to my irrigation system. I needed AJS to revise the PVC pipes coming out of two valves in my system so that one pipe went to my backyard and two pipes went to two areas in my front yard. Because there are a lot of pipes in a small area I wanted someone else to do it.

So I called AJS. It was easy to make an appt. The 3-person crew showed up within the 2 hour window. I appreciated the foreman's concern about making sure it was clear exactly what needed to be done before they started the work. After two hours they completed the work and I am very happy with the results. They were clearly more concerned about getting the job done right rather than getting it done quickly.

My only complaint is about the cost: $515 for two hours of work and parts (a few PVC parts). They have a set schedule for work, and treated this as two broken pipes, plus an hourly labor cost and parts. In the end it seemed significantly higher than I expected.

I would consider using them again, but would like to get a better idea of the cost before starting the work.

FYI, they charge a minimum of $115 for a service call, which is reasonable.

AJS Sprinkler was recommended to me by another local sprinkler company who was busy... I lucked out...

AJS showed up on time, and were incredibly professional, friendly and worked to resolve my problem in a timely fashion. They did excellent work.

They are definitely pro's and I'd use them again in a second!

I used AJS last year for a problem three other people could not fix. They found the buried control valve a foot below ground level and then determined the flow was hindered due to a root in the pipe which they fixed. The sprinklers worked better than ever.

We recently moved this year to a new house that did not have a functioning sprinkler system. Based on my prior experience I did not hesitate to call AJS. Steve and Kenny came out and reviewed the situation and made their recommendations. With very low water pressure in the back yard, they installed a front and backyard system to account for the water pressure. They showed up on time, worked two full days, and installed a system that is working flawlessly. The total cost matched their estimate. They were careful in cutting up the yard so the grass would look good after they finished. They explained all the controls, and set the sprinkler heads where they would give excellent coverage. I can not say enough good things about, Steve, Kenny, the crew, and everyone at AJS.

These guys are pros - I had a broken sprinkler head and irrigation tube that needed fixing. Called them last Friday and they came on Tuesday (mon was holiday) bright and early.

They even offered to fix it while I wasn't home which was super helpful for working folks.

I happened to be there and their service was great, fixed it quickly and made it to future impact on the head wouldn't snap it off.

Very good experience with this company! They saved me a lot of money as I thought I had a leak in my sprinkler system (due to a horrific water bill amount, the first one as we had recently moved into this house) and they checked everything...until they found out that the system was not properly programmed and that it was watering every other night, five times in a row... Thank you guys!

We called these guys to get an estimate on getting our sprinklers back up and working after letting our lawn die during drought. Kenny and three of his guys spent a few hours testing everything and placing colored flags. They told me what they recommended and showed me where the problems were and what areas were working just fine. Apparently tree roots were strangling some important valves. They came back at the agreed time to do battle with the tree roots and installed everything while I was at work. They showed me everything working and the programs the sprinklers were on when I came back.

A week later a few sprinkler heads looked like they were sputtering, trying to come up. My cocker spaniel attacked this strange creature and got very muddy. We called them to come back to have a look. They called around 7:30 pm to say they were running late, but would still come. They turned up and did a bit of trouble-shooting and determined the controller was faulty. They kindly agreed to install a new one for us. No good deed goes unpunished. There were electrical issues, yada yada yada. Two hours later, we have everything working. These three guys have had an incredibly long day of wrestling with roots in the sun, they must be hungry, but they stayed positive and determined to get the job done. That is great customer service!!
