This company is worthless. The plumber, Robert, came to look at my 1927 year old home and acted like he did not want to get his hands dirty. Said he was "too big" to look underneath the home. He was condecending and rude. We have a reputable Home warranty (which may not have covered the issue anyway) but he thought he was too good to bother looking for the problem. WOULD NEVER call this company for anything

I hired them and they did a great job. Saved me a ton of money verses my first bid from a TV ad...

This company is ridiculous. I personally did not chose them. It was done through my leasing company. I did let them know to never send them back out for anything else.

So the first initial visit, Robert came out to access a leak. I didn't really have any complaints until after he left, I noticed all of the stuff he pulled out he left out and didn't put back, such as all of my stuff under all of the bathrooms cabinets, my washer and dryer he didn't reconnect or put back against the wall and also some tires I had stacked in the garage, he had them thrown all over. So I called the office & spoke to Sheri to complain and told her I didn't want him back out to send someone else to do the repair; she said he was the only employee that could do that type of job but would let the owner know of the issue and make sure to talk to Robert before he came back out; I said ok because I had no other option.

So Robert came back out fixed the issue and left even a bigger mess than the day before, I called Sheri again to complain and she had the owner (Tim) call me to discuss the issue. He had me send pictures, he said this was unacceptable and could come out the next day to repair the soaker hose that Robert cut in half and would put back all of my appliances. Well I was gone when he came so he could put the appliances back, but he fixed the soaker hose and called himself fixing the flower bed that Robert destroyed. But it didn't look like he fixed the flowrr bed or even put the soaker hose back around the foundation.
So beware, they do not care about your property.

Quick, timely job well done. They got my drain cleared without attempting to upsale me on any additional work. Professional techs.

Had a good experience with Robert who came out to solve a disposal problem I was having with my sink. Not only did Robert fix the issue, he explained it to me and showed me how to solve the problem if it happens again. I appreciate that.

This is sort of a review for several companies-- long story short, Ajax is fairly priced, friendly customer service, and they have competent people working for them.

I think the negative reviews Ajax has gotten seem to be from people who don't fully understand how certain home warranty companies (like Nations, which I use) tie their hands and don't approve a lot of things one would think should be covered by their insurance plan.

The other day the coupling that connected the water main to the line going to my house cracked, flooding into the street. Richardson Water came out and did their job, shutting off the valve and unfortunately leaving me without water. They showed me what the problem was, so I called my home warranty company.

Nations (unsurprisingly) didn't cover this sort of problem, so I called Ajax-- whom I've had positive experiences with before-- but unfortunately they couldn't send anyone out until the next day.

Not wanting to be without water, I tried Benjamin Franklin Plumbers; the service tech arrived on time (that's the company's rep) and he barely gave the repair a cursory glance before robotically pulling out a pricing matrix.

He quoted me a ridiculous price-- $1,100 for the repair. The City had previously dug out around the valve, so all the hard work was already done... didn't seem to matter if it didn't fall into "the box."

When I said that that was way too much for a connector replacement, he replied "We are a premium service."

Well, Ben Franklin just "premiumed" itself out of a job. I paid the man the $59 home visit fee (he was there for less than 10 minutes) and he left.

So I went a day without water and Ajax sent Rob out the next morning. He called about 30 minutes prior to alert me he was heading over, and had the repair completed in about an hour for $305. On top of that, Ajax replaced the broken plastic connectors with sturdy brass fittings.

Ben Franklin - "Premium" or not, they have ridiculous pricing. Absurd pricing!

Ajax - I was told they no longer work with Nations, which I feel is a wise move. They got the job done using superior replacement parts for about 1/4 the price. This is not a company that deserves all those one-star reviews.

Had a water heater put in by Ajax plumbing got a price quote for the work. I thought it was a good fair price. Made appointment the guy came out when they said they would. Took out old water heater put in new one. Great job no issues. Been a few months now and every thing is still good.

If looking for plumbing work I would give Ajax Plumbing a call see what deal you can get. I was happy with the service and would call them again.

They were great. Came the 1st day when my hot water heater was leaking and then returned the next day with a new hot water heater. Very courteous as well.

Had a big water leak coming out of the wall into the garage and some brown (meaning stinky) water by the bathroom door coming up from under the tile. This guy comes in demanding money from my girlfriend who was waiting. This was called in from the property manager. He tells her I shouldn't come in the door without $60. He says he "thinks" its the water heater. No water was coming out of the closet where the water heater is. He orders a new water heater. My girlfriend shows him the brown water spot and he says "looks like rust from the water heater and I'm not sure how the water got there". A plumber who doesn't know what the term brown water means! They should try to solve plumbing issues and not start the conversation with "Where's my money".

stay away this company! I called them for a quote for new hot water heater replacement. They did not tell me over the phone that they charged trip fee for the quote. After Ben came to give me a quote, he billed me $35. Their quote was not even competitive. They charged high price to bring up to 2015 codes. That's not the way doing business.
