Adam did our conversion from oil to gas in the dead of winter. Our oil burner gave out end of December and we needed new everything plus running new gas lines from the front of the basement and have both DOB and ConEd sign off. After a few rounds of quotes and some ridiculous claims from larger and equally well rated plumbing companies from Angie's list, we decided to go with Adam. His price and timeline were very reasonable and he seem very familiar with the permitting and inspection process. Adam was able to make the switch quickly and efficiently with no mess; he tested my existing lines and fixed a few other things in our house. On the day of the switch, we were only without heat for 8 hours, in the middle of Jan. (Some of the other contractors told us to expect to be without heat for 2 months!) In the spring, ConEd decided to installed a new gas line for us and Adam was our guy to obtain permit, bring the line into the house, and retire the old line. Now we have a brand new line and system and are very happy we found Adam.

Adam made the oil to gas conversion in my house painless. I was told by others that the process would be a nightmare and that it would go thousands over the contract price. Well I don't know if it was a scare tactic or they just hired some bad people but I can tell you that didn't happen with Ajax plumbing. Everything was detailed in the contract and completed as stated and agreed upon . Adam is a master plumber and took care of all of the filing requirements, permits with NYC and everything with the utility company. Total process took about 90 days from signing of the contract (there was no gas in the house) to removal of old equipment and oil tank. If you're considering this process my advice is to begin (contract signed)at least 90 days before you anticipate cold weather to kick in if you have no gas in the house at all. At the very least can't hurt to get a quote from Ajax. You'll see when you start asking questions about the process he knows the exact process and requirements to get it done. Oh and did I mention he's not only the salesman he's the one actually licensed and doing the work. When was the last time you experienced that? Me almost never. Thanks Adam and don't forget his helper Kevin. I'm pretty sure it's not a one man job all the time.

My family converted from oil to gas heating. After much research we decided to contact Adam. From the first call to the very end of the conversion, Adam has been honest and incredibly empathetic; He would reply promptly to any questions and finished the job in less than a week! Despite all the old equipment that needed moving, we had hot water in a day. His cost was by far the most fair from all the heating companies I contacted in Queens and NYC. He even saved us money by recommending some heating solutions for the winter. Our family now has Ajax as a go to trustworthy plumbing and heating company. Thank you Adam!

I just used Ajax plumbing for a conversation from oil to gas. I personally felt Adam really knows what's he's doing. From the beginning to end, the process was very professional. Everything was written in a detailed contract and I didn't have to pay any extra money when the job was done. I did have to pay for a new chimney liner and some repairs for the chimney. But that was because the previous owners of my house didn't maintenance it. The chimney job was a different company. It needed to be done so we have ventilation. I liked the people he choose for the side jobs as well. Everybody worked really fast and was in and out. As an result I would recommend him to anyone. I personally feel when someone is spending so much money to do a job, their worst fear is to get cheated. I took a chance with Adam and I'm happy I did.

I'd like to personally thank Adam Epstein, the Owner of AJAX Plumbing and Heating in Bayside, for sabotaging my heating system, which contributed to a basement flood and then price goughing repairs. After his visit, the expansion tank reputured and I had a five inch flood in my basement! The insurance adjuster sent over a boiler specialist to look over my heating system and hot water heater. We had a conversation about the recent AJAX plumbing services rendered that week. I showed him ALL the receipts from AJAX Plumbing. The specialist apologized for AJAX Plumbing's unethical pricing. Adam Epstein replaced a fairly new thermostat he changed in 10/2015, the expansion tank replacement and bleeding radiators of my two-family home. I paid Adam Epstein a total of $1,850 from Dec 26 through Jan 4th, 2018. Honestly, do not waste your time or money with this arrogant clown.

We called Adam and he responded promptly despite the New Year's Eve holiday. We thought we had a problem with the water tank but it ended up being a problem with the sewer/ drainage. He assessed the problem and didn't try to sell us services we did not need. He was polite and professional.

My neighbor -- who is a tough grader of service providers -- recommended Ajax to me to help with a water pressure problem in our shower. I called Adam and he suggested checking the shower head before paying us a visit. That took care of the issue. So, without even coming to the house he fixed the problem for me, no charge. How's that for fantastic service! Adam was also super responsive. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly.

We called Adam at the recommendation of our neighbors when our heat suddenly stopped working on a Saturday night. We froze all night and then called Adam Sunday am. Adam came right away, was knowledgeable, fast and professional. He came back the next day as well
