I had an awful experience with this company. They came out to replace the garbage disposal unit. This is connected to the dishwasher. The dishwasher was working when they came to the house. As soon as they put in the new disposal unit, there was no water going to the dishwasher. I asked the technician what happened, and he said he had no idea. These people are supposed to be professionals..... and they had no idea why the water was not going to the dishwasher.
They also put in the unit upside down.... I showed it to the technician and he corrected it. They appear to be novices and have no care about what they do. DEFINITELY would NOT recommend them.

I was weary about having them work on our plumbing because of bad experiences I've heard from other people, but they got the work done in a professional and timely matter! Prices are about average. No problems or complaints here.

Classic ""BAIT AND SWITCH""

Made service appointment for several clogged drains, using their coupon and advertisement in the ""SaveOn"" Magazine. I was very clear on what I needed and the woman from the company, Ashley, on the phone, clarified how the coupon would work. I'd pay $49.99 service call, and then get ""up to 100' feet of drains cleaned"" for $94.99. Not just one drain, but as many drains as they could do. I asked her to clarify: ""So, the $94.99 is for more than one drain?"" And she said ""Oh yes, it's a great deal, you can do several drains for that price"".
As soon as the 'technician' (I don't think he was a plumber) came he saw the coupon and said ""I hope you don't think you're getting more than one drain for that price"" and went on some rant about 'how the girls at the office keep doing this'. He got out some ""price book"" and showed me the real prices. Went on and on about how 'the price is the price'.
Long story short, the coupon wasn't ""valid"" and it'd be close to $500 to clean 4 drains! Plus a 3% fee for a credit card they don't tell you about up front.
Tech didn't wear a mask.
I watched him closely; the main shower drain wasn't done properly even though he said it was. Once he saw it wasn't draining he said ""oh I'll do it again I guess"" and then, finally, it worked.
Unimpressed with the quality of the job but in the end the drains are flowing better.
I could go on but I won't.
I asked for a manager or owner to call me; they didn't.
It's a classic, vintage, ""bait and switch"". You won't get your drains cleaned for $94.99.
Beware.
Be warned.
You can do better...

We had some plumbing issues on 2-23-2020. They sent out technician named Chris Atkins. Not only did he show up quick on a Sunday, he was pleasant and knowledgeable and also informed us of things we didn't know. From here on out, we will be using Chris Atkins at A&J Plumbing only. Extremely happy and satisfied with the work done and the pricing. Thank-you again.

I've used A & J twice. Both times they've been great. Needed some tree roots cleared, the roots were backing up my sump pump. Second time was minor, but Jason and partner helped me with an annoying bathroom faucet. I highly recommend this polite and professional plumbing service company. Two thumbs up

My parents in there 80's had a leaky faucet in there laundry room they called for a estimate and were told it would be $ 550 dollars really a a new faucet is $ 30 shame on you !!!!

Scheduled an appointment and given the window of 1 - 7pm. At 2:00 we were told our tech would be there in an hour. At 3:45 we called to inquire on the arrival time. We were told he was on his way but not given an arrival time. The secretary said he was coming from Clarkston and was behind in traffic. He would be there soon. Ok, fine. But we should of had a call to say they were running late. If they are going to be over 45 minutes late a professional would call to say there were behind. We all do not sit around waiting for service techs. The window time tied up our entire day as we waited for service.

Called and explained to them what we needed and wanted done. They give us a window time between 1pm & 7pm at 545 they call and try to reschedule the appointment because the guy had a long day. First off why give a window time till 7pm? Poor customer service. The guy shows up sits in his van for 5mins. When he finally gets out hes got an attitude. Walks downstairs with us price more then doubles we carefully explained to them on the phone needed done. We were lied to. The guy even made a remark about not everyone can afford a plumber. He argues with us about the price says he will call his supervisor goes outside and gets in his van and makes a phone call. A few minutes later he was about to pull away and not say a word. We walk up to him and says we need to reschedule.

Called A and J for a backup in my basement. The man that came out to fix it was nice and was able to get water flow back in the drain, but in the process removed my ducts from the dryer which he said he needed to to reach the main pipe, which I understand. But then the ducts fell apart and he basically told me that it's not his fault and he can't fix it. I have been unable to use my dryer for a week now and have to call a repair man to come replace the ducts that were broken during the pipe repair. I was unable to use my washer because of the backup, he fixed the backup and broke the ducts to my dryer which I am unable to use now. Fixed a problem and created another. Very inconvenient.

A&J came out to fix my city water valve in our basement. Additionally, they installed ball joints in our bathroom but didn't complete the job as they stated it would cost $1200 to do also install a new shower head. So we asked just to fix the leak in our city valve and paid over $500 to have it completed and took the technician Sean about 10 minutes. I had already agreed to the cost but was shocked when it took him 10 minutes. Absolutely price gauging. I Will never call or recommend A&J plumbing in the future.
