A.J. Danboise Son, Inc. has been a family-run business since its inception. Established in 1925 under the leadership of Alex Joseph Danboise, our original shop was located in Detroit at Grand River and Spokane, offering both plumbing and hardware services! In the past seventy years, we have evolved and relocated to better serve our clients and respond to the changing demands of our business.

Hall Danboise assumed control of the company in 1966, continuing the family legacy and our dedication to quality. After completing her college education, Carol Danboise joined her father, learning every facet of the industry with the goal of one day continuing the family business. In 1972, Carol tied the knot with her coworker Jack Gatewood.

In 1975, we relocated to a larger facility at 5 Mile and Beech Daly in Redford, which allowed us to enhance our Commercial services. In 1975, Jack obtained his Master Plumber's license, followed by his Mechanical Contractor's license in 1978. After her father's passing in 1978, Carol took the reins of the company.
