Our furnace had issues. Jeremy came to check it out. We already looked and the circuit board was burnt. One of the resistors fried. We expected new board and all set. Danboise installed the furnace 23 years ago. They know this, and tried to upsell to a new heat exchange or furnace, as ""the exchange is cracked."" This is the number 1 scam to make consumer buy new equipment. The warranty expired 3 years ago, and they knew this. Then Jeremy insisted on reporting us to the State of Mi, and making sure the furnace was off. My husband had it turned off before he even showed up. Complete scam. Do not use Danboise.

They quoted me $800 for a three hour job. Including parts, it was about $250 an hour, hardly a reasonable amount. Then, on top of that, they charged me $95 just to get told this crap. I am not giving a 5 star review for that. Total rip off!

Lots of marketing and surveys...and....beware of extremely high unjustified prices. I had to pay $65 for a 20 minute quotation for 1.5 hours for future work with under $150 in material. They wanted over $1700. Crazy. Try a more realistic business.

DO NOT USE!

We had a leak in our garbage disposal and my husband said, ""higher a plumber, it will be expensive and get a good disposal)."" AJ Danboise was able to come out that same afternoon. The technician recommended replacing the garbage disposal (which we kind of expected). He gave me three quotes ranging from $740-$840. I called my husband at work because that seemed high. My husband did not answer so I decided to go with the $800 option. My husband called back just after the new disposal was put in and said that there is no way that we are paying that much. My husband said that he would pay $400 and then needed to talk to whoever was in charge. The technician was very professional and called his boss who told him that either we pay $800 or the technician would take the new disposal out. We told him to take the disposal out. He did and left.

The next day I call Drains Unlimited who was able to come out same day. They allowed me to pick up my own garbage disposal at Home Depot for $160 (comparable model as AJ Danboise quoted). Drains Unlimited charged me $150 for installation and a couple parts.

There's a big problem when AJ Danboise charges $800 and another company charges $310 for the same service.

Just found out how little I got for my $. Didn't do a single thing to rectify any of my customer concerns. No contact at all. Goes to show how much the customer means to them. FSM would have taken care of everything. Should have gone with them.

About a month and a half ago I had some electrical work completed at my home which I had a price quote for 2 dimmer switches only to be changed to use for Led light bulbs for each quote was over $300 to have each dimmer switch changed. When I asked the cost of the switches without the labor the electrician never quoted me a general price. I did have a backyard light repaired instead of the 2 dimmer switches only because my husband insisted. The yard light switch was bad and I was charged over $340.00 for one light. I was told by the technician that you're paying for labor and parts. Basically for every individual repair I was quoted for was always over $300 to have repaired which I found to be very suspicious.

If your looking for affordability AJ Danboise is not the company to consider. It's unfortunate that for 1 bad switch I had to pay over $340.00 if I had to do it over again I would have went with another company or independent electrician for the yard switch repair but you live and learn. I did end up calling an independent electrician to have the 2 light dimmers switches I spoke about earlier repaired and a fan taken off of a light switch which ran everytime I turned on my bathroom light all for $400.00. Not bad at all for all of that to be repaired instead of 1 bad yard switch which totaled over $300 which to me is price gouging. Definitely shop around first to make sure you get the most reasonable and fair pricing for services to save yourself the regret as far as cost goes!! P.S. I also got a quote for the bathroom fan I spoke of earlier to be on a seperate switch from the light and that quote alone was over $400.00. They are scammers BEWARE!!! I currently need plumbing work done and I definitely will not be calling back this company since I got screwed on the electrical work.

STAY AWAY! I had an issue with my a/c not working. A tech came to my house and it felt sales pitchy right from the start. He tried to tell me that I needed a new furnace and a/c unit and gave me a price that was far more than even I knew it should be. All I wanted to do at that point was get him to leave. Didn't fix anything, but I was still out of what it cost for him to just show up. I contacted a heating and cooling guy that contracts with the company I work for and he was able to fix it for under $100, he just replaced a part on my furnace. He also inspected both my furnace and my a/c unit and told me there is a lot of life left in both of them. I can't believe this company is even in business. I've read a lot of reviews to beware if you are a woman, and I absolutely agree!

I called AJ Danboise to repair a minor gas leak. The leak location was already identified by Consumer's energy. The technician arrived, and gave a quote of $600. I thought this is a complex repair, and authorized the work. However he finished the work in 15 mins, and didn't even mention the parts he used. When I called AJ Danboise for explanation, they said that they charge a flat fee for the repair. I felt RIPPED off.

So, please make sure to check with other companies before committing to AJ Danboise.

My husband and I have been customers of this company since 1993. I had an appointment scheduled last week for an annual furnace inspection. I have always set it up where I was called on my cell phone half hour before the appointment so I can leave work and get home when your tech arrived. My husband and I both got the reminder text the day before. I did not receive a call during the time scheduled, 8-12. I called their office to inquire and was transferred to a girl who said very rudely that she had called and cancelled the appointment the day before because the tech would not be available. Sorry to say but we did not get this call. Again I was very rudely corrected by this girl who insisted she had called my cell and left a message. Anyway, I rescheduled for the following week for 8-12 and again no call. So I again called their office and spoke to the very rude girl again who again very rudely stated she had recorded messages that she left a message on all 3 phone numbers listed. Since my husband and I were both at work we checked our cell phones and again, no call nor a message was left on either phone. She did in fact leave a message on our home phone after I clearly explained to her that we are at work and that they only way to reach either of us is via our cell phones. Due to her extreme unprofessionalism, unfriendliness, and complete blatant rudeness, we will no longer be using this company for service on anything.

Scam artists! Beware...

Technician came out because our shower was not working. He claimed the issue was a broken valve that was very unique, but he would try and see if his supplier could get it. The quote was $1,300. Yes... $1,300 - to replace a valve. When I pried into why the cost was so high (no detail was given), I was told the part was several hundred dollars and all the extra money was ""because they have to keep the trucks running"".

I got a second opinion, and not only was the issue NOT what they identified, the other company fixed the shower for under $300.

PS... within 2 minutes of Googling after the technician left, I found that ""rare"" valve (that we didn't even need) is in-stock and readily available at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, and elsewhere online for no more than $208.

Not sure if this company only preys on women or all customers, but I am shocked and appalled at the entire experience. I can't believe I paid a $65 service call fee to be fed lies by this unethical company.
