We had our upstairs AC & Heating unit replaced in the summer of 2021. In 2022 WE had the downstairs AC & Heating unit replaced. Airco Mechanical did both jobs, they were the best price of all the estimates we received. They were very punctual and also very fast and kept us informed of the installation processes. Today we had both units tuned up and checked by Airco. The AC tech was Jon, and he did a great job. He took the time to check both units thoroughly. He also changed our filters for us. As always, Airco was great to work with, from sales to service 5 Stars.

We recently scheduled our summer A/C maintenance service. The online scheduling process was easy and we were able to schedule an appointment within a few days. Our technician, Jon Paul, called ahead of time to let us know when he would arrive. He arrived on time and performed a thorough inspection of our A/C unit. In addition to the normal dust, he found bird feathers inside our outside unit. He removes the panels and did a thorough cleaning. When blowing out the condensate line, he took great care to ensure all openings were covered and our bathroom remained clean. We have used Airco for years and Jon Paul is an example of why we prefer their services. From installation to service, Airco has always been responsive and provided excellent service.

I dont think if I want to give them even one star, very bad service. this was the first time we contacted them for a small plumbing leak. To begin with heir after hour person named Tim made an arrangement with us to show up for the repair at 8.00 am next morning, we made arrangement for someone to be there for him. he never showed up, when I called him he didnt pick up his phone, did not reply to the text either. I called their dispatch line and the representative told me she does not see if he was coming out. I repeated my conversation with Tim and told her he promised to be there at 8.00, and she pretty much told me I am lying, very rude and unprofessional! But she agreed to send some one once some one is free, I asked her to have the plumber call me before heading that way and also that this is just one person job and he wont need a helper with him because its only one small leak , but she insisted that the plumber will have a helper with him and its an additional $75 per hour for the helper . about four hours later I called them to ask if some is available to go, the person on the phone told me a plumber is on the way and will call me once arrive there, which kind of made me upset as I had requested a call before even he heads that way . and the reason was , we have Kitec Pex plumbing in the whole building and I know not every plumber is prepared to work with this discontinued product, so I just wanted to make sure that the plumber knows ahead of time what would he be working with once gets to the location.
I asked her if she can provide me with his ETA, she puts me on hold to check but then an other very rude person named Brandy I think comes to the phone and tells me she is the manager and they are not going to send anyone out because I was abusive ( I believe they did not like the fact I asked them not to send a helper with the plumber because its a very small job) . So be aware when you call them, no matter if two people are needed at the job or not, they will send two people to skim more money off of you.

Hi Sir, The way you spoke to our female employees on our team was not acceptable whatsoever. I stand behind their decision and I would recommend you reconsider the way you speak to people in the future. Based on the words you spoke its clear you don't like the fact that AiRCO empowers women to be in a position of management and decision making.

Sir, I was compelled to respond to your reply because I am being accused of something which did not happen.
Just to let you know I have several General Managers, managers and lots of team members working with me in different roles, and all of them except my maintenance staff are women, very hardworking and capable women. So no I dont have any issues with women on authoritative positions.
I believe you were not presented with actual facts.
there were no WORDS used not at all. but still in your team, if someone's feelings got hurt genuinely, my sincere apologies to that person. I am pretty sure I stayed with in my professional boundaries but still.
I believe if your manager would hear me out before telling me that no one will come out to do the repair, I did not have to leave an online review. She just came on the phone for hardly fifteen seconds to let me know that you guys would not send a plumber out. which also raises the question that if I did not even have a proper conversation with her how was it assumed that I have an issue with women on management positions ?
Anyhow. this is nice that you stand behind your team and that's exactly what I would do, but at the same time I would do one more thing, I would use this review as an opportunity to coach, train and retrain my team on how to handle situations differently, how not to make promises which we cant keep, how to pay attention to customer requests and how to at least listen to the customer's story yourself before reaching to a conclusion.
Again, it was just a business relation going to start, but ended before even starting.

I noticed that my thermostat wouldn't turn on, tried my best at diagnosing the issue and gave up. Figured I'd resort to the pros.

Submitted a batch of quote requests on Yelp.
Not only did Airco respond timely, they were upfront about their fee (not just "call us to schedule and we'll come take a look" that several other companies did)

Not only that, they proposed a simple check for me to perform, which ended up resolving my issue right then and there. They even explained how that issue probably came to be.

So I ended up not needing Airco to come, but if I have a real AC issue in the future, I would definitely come back to Airco.

I previously submitted a warranty repair and the company sent someone over from A-US Air Conditioning (https://www.ausairtexas.com/). They told me the issue was due to a bad thermostat wire and that I'd have to pay out of pocket for the repair. I now understand why A-US has such terrible reviews!

I wanted a second opinion and ran across Airco Heating & Air Conditioning. I chatted with Wes, the manager via Yelp messaging and within 2 hours, Martin arrived at my door. He was friendly and listened to my issues before heading straight to the attic to start his diagnostics.

He quickly determined that the thermostat wire was working fine and was able to manually trigger the AC - it was blowing cold air again! Martin walked me through all the steps he took to come to his final conclusion. Turns out the issue was my Ecobee thermostat not sending the right signal!

The charged less than my warranty company's initial service fee. I'll report back once I replace the thermostat to confirm whether Martin's hypothesis was correct.
