Great Sales Team - Greedy, sloppy Service
They do a fantastic job when trying to sell a new unit. Perfection. Even a pie delivered to your house a few days after installing the unit.
Then I needed service...
I called them out to fix lightning strike damage in June witch took out the HVAC system completely. They came out to fix it, worked on the AC part of the system, but didn't check if the furnace unit was operating ok.
Now it's December and it's time to run the furnace. Unfortunately, the strike took out parts of the furnace system, too. Now they refuse to perform work under the same work order and want to charge another diagnostics fee.
Their service back then was probably 2 stars because of the whole experience. The interaction now takes it down to 1 star ... 0 stars is I could.
The problems with the initial work performed:
1. They do not fill out forms required to file repairs with your home owners insurance. Be prepared to not get reimbursed or make the technician document every bit of work in painstaking detail.
2. Appointment windows. After 5pm can really mean after 9pm. Good thing that I'm a night owl, but I have better things to do than waiting around for 4 hours not knowing when the technician is going to show up.
3. Crazy Markups. $400 for a $70 part. Of course when the technician shows up after 9pm for a NON-EMERGENCY repair you don't have many options. It's probably planned that way.
4. No itemized receipt - only a credit card email without details.
5. A very rude "Retail Director" that refuses to provide documentation on the work the technician performed when you need documentation for the insurance.
In short, the AirCo difference is:
* More Money out of your pocket
* Time lost you could be spending better
* Aggravation interacting with their staff.
* additional work that needs to be performed by a different service company.

Purchased a new HVAC system from Lowes and Airco was the installer. The installation crew both spoke English, were extremely polite and well spoken. They wore shoe coverings in my home and cleaned up after they finished the job. Afterwards we found a dent in the unit. Communication was fairly good and they got the dented panel replaced within about two weeks. Then they sent a box of delicious chocolate chip pecan cookies to thank us! I was only going to give them four stars but the cookies were worth an extra star!
Would do business with them again.

My air duct needed replaced. Came out the same day I called. It was repaired the next day. Amazing service and customer service. I would recommend to everyone. Prices very reasonable. Didn't break my bank!! Will continue to use services.

We have had our Trane unit installed by Airco for about 4 years now. They did an awesome job in the installation and have always handled our maintenance/repairs. I called them yesterday as our thermostat would flash when it was changing scheduled cycles. It also would come on and blow but wasn't cooling (the house was near 80 degrees last night).
The service team rocked it out. They set up my appointment and Seth was at the house by 12:30 today. Not only did he have to remove some panels in a tight space to get to the issue he did it without complaint. He found that we had a condensation issue so he treated the pan. He also put a view section in our condensation drain pipe for easier monitoring and recommended that we put a cup of white vinegar into the drain with the float so that the system will stay clean.
He also checked our outside unit and found that the capacitor was on its last legs.
He explained everything thoroughly along the way asking for my approval before proceeding with repairs each time. The amount of the bill was well worth it to have my a/c back.
Seth is awesome and Airco is the best. Seth even made friends with our crazy, visually impaired Min Pin.

The only thing negative I have to say about AirCo is that they are extremely pricey! Other than that, the service Technician that came out was nice and got the job done quickly. They charge you $85 just to come out... that is to do NOTHING. Then, to find a fuse that was blown, they charged me $115 to locate and diagnose the problem. I feel, that the $85 should be charged if they come out and the homeowner backs out and doesn't get any work done. If they do work, the $85 should be included in the price of the fix. Nickel and Diming really..I may go with another company next time to see if they are any less expensive

Poor service. Twice they came out and they caused our unit to blow up after rewiring.

My AC went out last night. I called AirCo at 7 am this morning and they had someone out by 12:30. Jerry was nice and fixed my ac with no problems. $80 for a service call plus repairs. Worth the money!

If you try and get a warranty repair get ready to wait. I had a part that was under warranty that went bad and was told I would have to pay diagnostic fee and would not be able to come and fix for at least 3 days. Its August in Texas and they know that you will cannot wait 3 days to have A/C fixed. So the warranty provided is worthless.

Check out the AirCo statement below, it states $49.00 for diagnostic service call in the area below right above Dave the managers comments on the business. On AirCo website it states $85.00 for diagnostic service call. The service representative came to my house and charged me $119.00 to diagnose the fact that I needed a plumber. I know this isn't the right way to get customers. Do not choose this business if you are looking for a business with honest practices. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as in this is not one of the Better Business' available in our area. I won't use them again. The plumber I called next could not believe Airco charged me $119.00, they did not diagnose the problem. I will tell all my friends and coworkers my experience with AirCo to ensure they don't experience what I did with Airco. I agree with the other reviewer when calling Airco some customer friendly service skills are needed.

AirCo is a company that will be on site ASAP to diagnose and fix any HVAC issues that you may have. I've called them a couple of times to figure out why my AC was blowing hot air and they came within a very short window.
My issues with AirCo are that their staff you deal with on the phone can be rude and abrupt at times and that they tend to upsell you on products that may be a bit pricy. I recently called to get a quote on a component for my AC unit and was informed that I could not be given a quote over the phone, despite the fact that they already had the serial number and other information from a previous visit to diagnose. The lady on the phone stated that she had to call the manufacturer to verify if my part was still under warranty or not and would call me once she had that information to give me a realistic picture of whether or not the part was under warranty. After not hearing back, I called the very next day to follow up and she informed me that she attempted to call the manufacturer but they were closed (which I don't believe...most major corporations are not closed on Good Friday). She then asked how old my system was and quickly informed me that the part was not under warranty. Based on what I've read online, most parts have a 10 year warranty and my system is not quite 10 years old so I'm a bit hesitant to believe that information. Also, my system is younger than 10 years old so I don't need a total replacement because it's run on Puron 410A (the new refrigerant) and a new part would not be incompatible with the rest of my system.
The techs that come out to your home are very friendly, kind, and willing to fix the issue as soon as possible. They also understand economics and the fact that everyone doesn't have thousands of dollars lying around to repair and replace AC systems. If the office staff were as friendly as the techs, AirCo would get a solid 5 star rating from me.
