I called this company to get an estimate to repair a A/C leak. They sent a very nice gentleman out and said I needed a new drain pan and drain pipe. He said $3500 dollars to do the work plus that was a discount his boss approved. I said that's expensive he said the safety overflow valve was the reason. $800 per valve. I looked the valve up and found it to be $21 at Home Depot. The famous radio 610 handyman recommended this company. I called another company and they did the work for $1800.

This company merged with Cool Air Sam and some other small HVAC service companies in the area.

Our AC started to fail the night before a summer holiday so we waited until the next morning to call since some of our AC was warranted through Cool Air Sam. I was afraid that my info would have gotten misplaced with the movement and time since the part was replaced (7yrs), but they still had all my info.

They were earlier than they initially estimated (a plus in this heat) and identified the issue quickly. In all it took about an hour. The only negative is I tried a few numbers. One said it was not able to accept calls. Another went to an answering service and the person there sounded confused or indifferent. Other than that all was well and the employees of Air Tech were great.

I called Air Tech and they came out on a Saturday which was nice. The repairmen/ salesman was very polite. He diagnosed my 2017 HVAC system and said I had a bad capacitor, low freon levels which indicated to him that the evaporator coil was leaking and needed replaced. He also said the control board was not supplying power to the dampers so he would have to replace that first and then see what dampers may be bad. He said it would be best to put in a Trane evaporator coil or change out the unit, because Lennox is notorious for having these issues and it would continue to be a problem.
Issue #1: He never opened the air handler to check the evaporator coil for a leak and did not bring a leak detector to check either.
#2. They wanted $5,600.00 to put a Trane evaporator coil in.
I declined and called another reputable company out who fixed the unit in about 45 minutes. The new ac repairman said my freon levels were fine. He replaced the capacitor and Zone Damper motor. The control board was working fine also.
My invoice was $650.00 compared what would have been another $5,000.00 more.
These guys are out to take advantage of those that want their ac to work and believe whatever they are told.

Do not do business with this company. They are dishonest and incompetent. We have had a maintenance agreement with them since they acquired American Comfort Systems, our previous maintenance company. They recently performed the annual checkup for our heating system. The tech told us our Ultraviolet Dual Bulb was burned out and would cost $470 to replace. We called the office after the tech left and told them the bulb was still under warranty. They said they would replace it under warranty but had to send another tech to get the part number off our system. Wait. They installed the bulb and their tech just left. Why don't they have the part number? Some days later, another tech came and got the part number and said that since it was under warranty it would cost $216. That's what we paid to have it installed less than 11 months ago. After some days, we called the office to get an update. They never ordered the part. The office told us their "supplier" was "pushing back." Since when does a "supplier" tell a company how to conduct their business? We have one more prepaid service appointment with them but will leave that money on the table. We do not want this company in our home again. They do not honor warranties even if the warranty is in writing. We do not expect them to honor the warranties we purchased from American Comfort Systems. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

$89 to diagnose plugged primary and secondary drains which was glaringly obvious and $401 to clean. I am appalled at this type of gouging and sent the service tech on his way. Don't ever call this company and feed their unscrupulous business.

The only thing they did right was show up quickly. Too bad it was to try and stuff their mitts in my wallet. Bait and switch.

I have been a club member for over 10 years . I have recently canceled after doing research after some sticker shock. Even with the club "discount" repair prices are 3 times what other repairmen charge. If using , seek a second opinion on services and parts. There is zero advantage to being in their Club.
