Dylan Contreras came out and looked at our AC issues. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us including all warranties and services. He offered us excellent financing so we can afford to have our system replaced. We got next day installation. We are extremely satisfied and would recommend them to everyone!!

We were unable to regulate the temperature in my son's room. We called Air-Tech of Houston to evaluate the cooling/heating system. They recommended installing a new return in his room because my unit wasn't drawing in enough air and working too hard. The proposal amount was more than I could afford at that time. Nearly a year later, I was ready to go through with it through their interest-free finance plan and Wells Fargo. Though prices had gone up, they agreed to honor the price they had given me many months before. For $2,500, they installed a return at my hallway ceiling and in my son's room. Additionally, they relocated his ceiling duct to the most unregulated part of his room, after which conditions improved. They also installed a surge protector on my aging condenser unit. Only hours later, the compressor went out and we had no more cooling. Their field rep came to my house within an hour of our call. They were unable to replace the compressor owing to part availability and the age of the condenser unit. They informed me that my compressor was old, probably on its last leg when the surge protector was installed. At this point they could have used this logic to make me spend, maybe $5,500 on a new unit, in addition to the $2,500 I already financed. I didn't have a credit line to support that purchase. Rather than leave me feeling like every thing was working fine before they worked on my unit, Air-Tech of Houston sent two techs, that night, to replace the entire condenser unit with a new Ruud, at their own expense. Their techs were outside installing it from 8-10 PM! I've never experienced a contractor who stood behind its work as much as Air-Tech of Houston did. Thanks Air-Tech!

Some year back, before such things were common in Houston, I bought a Fujitsu Halcyon mini-split AC unit from them. That experience was ok. However, later when the unit needed to be cleaned, I could not get them to come service it. I called and emailed repeatedly. They promised to get back to me but never did. Similarly, when it eventually developed a leak I could not get them to respond.

tried to scam me into buying an overpriced AC coil and plenum box at double the actual price. also tried to tell me that the refrigerant would be around $1800 to fully fill the system... so bad! stay away!

Upscale big time. Told me my coils had a leak, didn't even bother to check for the leak, tried to sell me a new system! Scammers. Be aware folks!

Upon using my first tune-up I paid for for my AC I was immediately informed by the tech who Facetimed me at work that me entire heat exchange, fan blower, and furnace needed to be replaced. He didn't even look at my AC. Instead of spending the $6,500 as suggested I got a second opinion and my entire system was fine and basically brand new. They told me someone would contact me regarding my complaint, but they never did. Very unfortunate because they could've kept my business for years to come and had already made thousands of dollars off me.

upsell big time. Two techs months apart contradict each other. One charged for a nest thermostat that didn't go with my older system. Second tech said need replacement ASAP. Friend's honest ac guy said rust is normal for Houston and $80 later we wer3 good and it's been a year aNd a half.

AVOID THESE RIPOFFS. THEY ONLY ARE THERE TO SELL, SELL, SELL!

I rarely take the time to write reviews. That being said this one demands that I take the time to do so on Midnight on a Tuesday Night. Here is my journey with this horrible, unprofessional and sly AC Repair company.
A few months ago, I had an issue with my AC. I googled the nearest AC company to me and that was introduction to AIRTECH Houston. After fixing the issue I had, they sold me up on a membership that allows me bi-annual check ups. Here is where the issues began. They came out again because my AC went out. During this visit, they told me that my AC motor had broken one of it's wings. Due to the fact that the wing was built into the motor, I had to pay 700 bucks to replace it with a new one. Even though I was skeptical on the analysis, I trusted them and paid to do so. 5 days after they left, my AC went out again. I called them and the tech that came out told me that the tech who had installed my motor did a bad job, and a panel fell off creating the issue. Before he left, I told him that the air in me downstairs bedroom- I have a 3 storey house- was not working. He tried to sell me on a new part that costs 700- an upsell from what I was previously told was 600. I complained that before they changed the motor, my downstairs AC was blowing perfectly. He went back into the attic and "somehow" was able to fix it. On the way out, he kept insisting that since my house was built in 2012, I would need to change my entire AC which he estimated would cost 18-20,000. After he left, 2 hours after, my AC started making extremely loud noises in the attic. Extremely loud. Please see attached video. It would not stop after we turned off the AC breaker. We had to turn off the furnace breaker for it to go off. I called the after hout service since when you buy their membership, you are supposed to have access to a 24 hour tech for emergencies. This was the worst customer service experience. It is clear that the answering service does NOT have a direct connection to the techs. We called multiple times in hours and they could only tell us that they sent a message and the tech had not responded. Do NOT pay for membership. Once they get the money you are on your own.
If you look at their reviews, there are multiple complaints on issues that come up after their techs have been to your house for regular check ups. This is the honest truth. Since I signed with them, I have had more issues with my AC system than I did since 2012. That is just a fact. It may be a coincidence that after they leave my house for a repair, a new issue, worse than the previous one happens to pop up. Please look at their reviews to see the consistency.
I am deeply disappointed in the service but mostly the issues that somehow come up after each tech visit. I am disappointed that after paying for a membership that allows me 24/7 calls, I received zero call back in an entire night from a company that prides itself on availability. Here is the thing. We are all intelligent consumers. Before you ever use these guys or apply for their membership. Look through their negative reviews. I can solemnly swear, from personal experience, there is great consistency and continuity in the negative outlook on customer service and most importantly, issues that somehow pop up after a tech visit from AIRTECH. There is zero consistency in the tech's knowledge from one to another. ZERO. From my perspective, it has been significantly factual. Please contact me directly for a direct testimony. WORST AC REPAIR COMPANY EVER!

I called this company because it's the peak of the summer and my regular AC guy couldn't to me on the day my AC stop cooling. It was a mistake and a complete waste of money.

The tech came out and spent a half hour checking everything but the problem, which was the fan motor. When he was done, he was more interested in trying to sell me a new system than fixing my AC. Actually he didn't/couldn't repair my AC.

In addition, he made me sit and wait 20 minutes while he sat in his truck putting together the quote. I gave up waiting and approached his truck. He got out, gave me a crazy high quote, couldn't tell me when the work could be done, and insisted on trying to get me to buy a membership after I told him I wasn't interested.

So, I paid $130 for nothing.

My AC guy came the next morning. He said any respectable company would have this standard part on their truck. It took him less than 30 minutes to do the repair. If I had the part I think I could have replaced the motor myself. Online searches for the motor indicated I could have bought it for about $300. Air Tech wanted to charge me $830. That's more than $500 for labor that should take less than an hour.

It's almost a week later, and I still don't have the promised estimate of how long it would take Air Tech to get the part and fix my AC. Good thing I didn't wait for them. I guess when I wasn't interested in the salesman's pitch to replace my whole system I wasn't worth their time.

I wish I didn't call them. You shouldn't. Save your money and call a AC repair company instead of this AC sales company.

The estimate was grossly inflated, the time to complete the work was grossly inflated. They did the initial install of my brand new home, and I, in mistaken loyalty, thought they would be the best to evaluate and fix the issues. Service charge is twice other competitors and beware of what they say labor time will be! Never again!
