STOP LOOKING , JUST HIRE AIRTECH OF HOUSTON. THEY ARE THE BEST IN HOME SERVICE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Our 2004 built home is about 3900 square feet. We had 1 single 4 ton a/c unit for the entire house. Our electric bills in August were near $400 to keep our home at 75 degrees and we pay about $0.11/kilowatt hour. So that's a pretty high bill. We decided to replace out 1 a/c unit (and furnace) with 2 new units, one for the 1st floor and 1 for the 2nd floor. We also decided to have the upstairs zoned off into 3 separate zones since all of our bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Our master suite on 1 zone, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on another, and the game room on one zone, is how we had planned it out. AirTech Of Houston has performed maintenance on our old system before and we were very pleased with our previous experiences. They were my first (and only) call. We had AirTech come out 2 look at our home to see if what we wanted to do was even possible. Daniel was our sales guy. He explained that it was completely possible, duct work would need to be replaced and re-routed in our attic. He also explained that technology has advanced so drastically over the past decade in HVAC, that we have several options for what we could do. He was in our home about an hour, took a lot of notes, some measurements, and told me he would get back to me in a few days with the estimates. We had figured somewhere near $20,000 for the project and when the estimates came in higher, we didn't flinch at them. We looked at the equipment they were quoting, knew it was good equipment, had trust in AirTech, knew they had hundreds of excellent reviews online, and decided to go ahead with the process. We called them up and asked when they could start. They scheduled us for the next day. That very afternoon (day before the install), Billy Wagner, President of AirTech, came to our home, walked the property with us, made sure we had all the clearances necessary for the equipment, made sure we understood what was going to be done, confirmed our wishes, made sure the salesman quoted the appropriate equipment for our home, and really took the time to make sure all of our questions were answered. Billy decided that we could benefit from 2 different units than what the salesman had quoted, explained the benefits, we asked him for a new estimate, when he gave it to us, it was almost $2000 less than the original. WOW, a company that could've made another $2,000 and didn't because they had the best interest of the customer in mind. Day of installation, everything from start to finish was so smooth. They arrived on time (actually 5 minutes early), called me when they were on their way (as they had said they would, but how many times have we heard, "We'll call when we're on our way" and then never get a call). They arrived, began unloading equipment, removing old equipment, and removing old duct work in the attic. They were at my home from about 9am until 8pm. I couldn't believe they stayed to finish, what a long day, I figured 5pm was gonna roll around and they were gonna come back the next morning. NOPE, they promised it would be done in one day and they kept that promise. Before leaving they setup all the new digital thermostats (very technological system), showed me how to program them, change settings, connect my wifi, use the mobile app, connect the system to my Amazon Echo, and made sure all of my questions were answered before leaving. The next few days were quite warm outside and the air would kick on here an there, WOW, we immediately noticed a huge difference. The system starts up slow, gradually increases to the speed it needs based on the algorithms in the system, and cools the house so much faster. Here's the cool part, after it's done, it shuts off the compressor outside but leaves the fan on in the attic for a few more seconds to clear all the cold air from the ducts. AWESOME, no more wasted cold air. They had mentioned that they may need to come back and do some adjustments on airflow since we went with zoning off the upstairs into 3 zones. I called to have them adjust the dampers for proper airflow, they were out the next morning. I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW MUCH I TRUST AIRTECH. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW THEY HAVE EARNED A LIFE LONG CUSTOMER. THEY TRULY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND SHOW IT IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY DO. THE QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM IS UNSURPASSABLE. THANK YOU AIRTECH.

I have used them once but never again. the problem was my A/C wouldn't blow out cool air. A young man came out to fix the problem but he couldn't do it. He told me it was the circuit board. When he replaced it, it still wasn't working telling my I was lucky the circuit board was still under warranty(his fault not mine) Then he had to call his supervisor to come out and fix it. Supposedly all he had to do was move a few wires around. So it was then fixed or "patched" I should say. Flash forward a month and now my ac isn't working again. I called them up and they want $295 just to come out when they failed to fix it the first time. Just frustrating.

I originally called John Moore, tech came out said it was the capacitor, changed it and then told me that the compressor was out. Ended up, John Moore tech said I needed a whole new unit at $8000. The whole time he was telling me this, I got the impression I was being lied to and being pressured. Tech was telling me if I didn't do everything he lined out in the quote I would not pass a safety inspection. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Angie's List. I called Air Tech of Houston after I saw the amazing amount of positive "A" reviews they had on Angie's List. Their office was helpful, gave me an appointment during a time slot that would work for my schedule. Tech, Darien, called ahead and arrived during the allotted time. He checked the system, replaced the capacitor and I was back up and running for under $300. He took the time to explain his only concern with the unit, fan and motor were vibrating. He gave me options, said the unit was working and I could let it go until the unit dies. Told me I could replace the fan and motor, which might extend the life of the unit longer. Gave me a price to replace the motor and fan (less than $700). I scheduled the work and Kolby came out yesterday to install my new fan and motor. Work was done quickly at the agreed price, no attempt at add-ons. I absolutely didn't feel like I was being lied to or conned by either technician. Both techs were polite and respectful of my time and home. I appreciate that there are still companies out there that are trying to do a good job and not trying to cheat people. I signed up for their preventative maintenance plan and I will definitely recommend Air-Tech of Houston to others.

Air Tech of Houston saved my vacation! Our AC compressor went out on a Saturday afternoon... we were supposed to fly out of town the next morning. I was afraid we were going to have to cancel our trip. I called their 24/7 line, and they sent someone out in 15 minutes! The man who came to our house was very professional and friendly. He fixed the unit very quickly and for a good price. I have used this company before and highly recommend!

This is a stand-up business. The techs are extremely knowledgeable and competent, and the customer service is second to none. For measure, I've had four different techs come service my HVAC system in the last 18 months (3 were regular maintenance calls, one was a large scale overhaul subject to a warranty issue), and each and every time they handled the situation with the utmost professionalism. I have, and will continue to recommend this company to my closest friends and relatives.

Great service and call backs. As another reviewer noted, they are pricey but you get value since they are responsive and knowledgeable in what they do. I had to replace my outdoor unit and coils. I also wanted to move my 3 outdoor units to a different location, about 50 feet from the back of the house to the side of the house. Air Tech gave me a quote and the next day 6 guys showed up and did the work on the day. We had a new outdoor unit plus all 3 units were moved in about 6 hours. They even manufactured some custom hoods for the outdoor unit to direct the hot air away from my deck and walls. I would use them again because of they kept me informed throughout the service and after service (city inspection) process.

The kind of company that makes you lose faith in people. Like others who have reviewed Airtech, I was told I needed two new systems. Another tech (Ben at Polar Express) told me otherwise. A blowout of the drain line, an adjustment to the float switch, a touch of freon, and my AC works like new.

Airtech is dishonest, incompetent, or, worse, both. Never call them.

Avoid this company. Or pay.

Called to make appointment cause AC was totally out. Was given a time for my appointment. Waited for said time. Got a call at said time stating that they couldn't come because of "high volume." I called at 9am on a Monday. Total crap, don't use them find another company.

First and foremost: Yes, they are expensive. They were 30% more expensive than the next highest quote for the same type of work. But I think the higher price is fully justified.

I've had two jobs done by them:
- Replace all the duct work.
- Replace the heater / furnace / blower unit, seal the return air ducts.

Both times, they were the most expensive quotes. But I went with them on the strength of recommendations by family who had used them.

During the quote process, they did not try to upsell or push anything else. They gave me a variety of options.

Each time, I had a team of at least 5 people working on my property. The installation is very clean, they go over all of what was done. They even caught and fixed an electrical short that was causing some intermittent faults with the old unit.

The equipment they install is also very good: The CFM rate is high and the motor is quiet.

Maybe this used to be good company, but it is not anymore. On Friday my 92 yo moms AC went out. She called them, as they had installed the whole system in 2009, making it only 5.75 yo at this point. It came with a 10 year parts & labor warranty. Air tech came out the next day (Saturday) and diagnosed the problem as the fan in the condensing (exterior) unit, only they denied the warranty; even though she showed them the cancelled check in their name for the whole amount ($5,200). They wanted $850 to install a simple fan that should have been under warranty.

I called another company & they confirmed that it was registered in her name & was under warranty. We bought a service policy from them to check the system twice a year & maintain it. Moral: don't deal with this company unless you want to get screwed!
