My A/C is old and requires R-22!! If anyone knows about R-22, it's expensive now $$$$$. They won't make it anymore come 2024 or 2025. I needed a new condenser and coil! Joey and Adam were excellent about appointment time and had an amazing work crew to get her done! Air Tech of Houston showed up and showed out. They are very professional and knowledgeable in their field and have great personality to boot! I didn't have to ask hardly any questions. I knew what to expect and had no surprises. Very honest and concise. Thank you!

5 years ago, I spent nearly $20,000 on 2 A/C units and 2 furnaces. The old furnaces looked and worked OK, but Air Tech insisted they needed replacing.

Then I find out they installed April Aire filter guides. It costs $500 every 6 months to replace filters. Or a $1000/year.

Honeywell filters meeting the same specs cost 40-50% less than the April Aire filters. But they are slightly smaller. So a small amount of air can bypass them. On the box, both the April Aire and Honeywell filters claim to be 24 X 20.

I called a different A/C company to do the annual A/C servicing and filter replacement. It will cost me about $250. Or half as much as Air Tech. Only problem is for the Honeywell filters to work properly, new guides will need to be installed. Another $1000 for the 2 guides. But over a year or two, they'll pay for themselves.

Why weren't the Honeywell guides installed by Air Tech in the first place?

Note: The installation of the A/C and furnace units was well done. But based on their other shenanigans, I'm beginning to doubt that the furnaces needed replacing.

A guy on Google indicated that his repair by Air Tech cost him about "$1200/hour" -- $300 for a 15 minute job. Sounds like good work if you can get it.

See how easy it is to lose a loyal customer Air Tech?

Used them a year ago. Was told we needed a new Ac which we bought. Called again for our other unit. Was told it was working again but we needed another another unit. We elected not to spend the 25,000. We later had an issue with the other unit going out again. Called a different company and they said the unit was in great shape (it's a 2017) but the drainage was backed up. 200 dollars later it's working well. Makes me wonder if I wasted the money the first time and didn't really need a unit then either. Call someone else

My A/C downstairs wasn't cooling, so I called Air Tech, I've used them for years. My tech had left company so I asked for another senior tech to come out.

First appointment available was 3 days later - Thursday. Once Rory arrived, we went to look at outdoor units. He said my Freon was registering low, then he hands me his IPad and says that this is the charge to find the Freon leak, it was $1,000.00! I was shocked - so I said that is just to find the leak and not repair? He said yes, then started his super condescending bs sales and science pitch. I asked him if my units were under warranty - and he immediately told me no - then I asked him to check with his office as I purchased the units from Air Tech. He said it wouldn't matter - the $1,000.00 was a diagnostic check and it wouldn't be covered.

I said I would be getting a second opinion - and asked if he would look at the unit in the attic before he left. Once upstairs, he said the pan was rusted - he suggested it was from unit freezing up. I said it could be from the drain cleaner I used to keep the drain line open, and that said rust was there for years.

Once back downstairs, I insisted again he ask his company if I'm still under warranty. He called - then told me they said no, it was no longer under warranty.

I paid him his $89 diagnostic fee and escorted him out.

Two friends recommended Premier A/C - tech: Shaun. Shaun came out the next day and also diagnosed that unit was low on Freon. I asked how much to locate the leak and he said $65.00 I asked him to please get started. Shaun found a leak in outside unit and an additional leak in condenser coil in attic. Shaun asked his office to check manufacturer and see if my units were under warranty and the answer: YES they are.

Shaun ordered the parts, I paid to have unit charged with a few pounds of Freon to get me through until parts arrive and unit can be repaired. Needless to say, Shaun has my business and I highly recommend him: 713-682-0888.

Dylan Contreras came out and looked at our AC issues. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us including all warranties and services. He offered us excellent financing so we can afford to have our system replaced. We got next day installation. We are extremely satisfied and would recommend them to everyone!!

We were unable to regulate the temperature in my son's room. We called Air-Tech of Houston to evaluate the cooling/heating system. They recommended installing a new return in his room because my unit wasn't drawing in enough air and working too hard. The proposal amount was more than I could afford at that time. Nearly a year later, I was ready to go through with it through their interest-free finance plan and Wells Fargo. Though prices had gone up, they agreed to honor the price they had given me many months before. For $2,500, they installed a return at my hallway ceiling and in my son's room. Additionally, they relocated his ceiling duct to the most unregulated part of his room, after which conditions improved. They also installed a surge protector on my aging condenser unit. Only hours later, the compressor went out and we had no more cooling. Their field rep came to my house within an hour of our call. They were unable to replace the compressor owing to part availability and the age of the condenser unit. They informed me that my compressor was old, probably on its last leg when the surge protector was installed. At this point they could have used this logic to make me spend, maybe $5,500 on a new unit, in addition to the $2,500 I already financed. I didn't have a credit line to support that purchase. Rather than leave me feeling like every thing was working fine before they worked on my unit, Air-Tech of Houston sent two techs, that night, to replace the entire condenser unit with a new Ruud, at their own expense. Their techs were outside installing it from 8-10 PM! I've never experienced a contractor who stood behind its work as much as Air-Tech of Houston did. Thanks Air-Tech!

Some year back, before such things were common in Houston, I bought a Fujitsu Halcyon mini-split AC unit from them. That experience was ok. However, later when the unit needed to be cleaned, I could not get them to come service it. I called and emailed repeatedly. They promised to get back to me but never did. Similarly, when it eventually developed a leak I could not get them to respond.

tried to scam me into buying an overpriced AC coil and plenum box at double the actual price. also tried to tell me that the refrigerant would be around $1800 to fully fill the system... so bad! stay away!

Upscale big time. Told me my coils had a leak, didn't even bother to check for the leak, tried to sell me a new system! Scammers. Be aware folks!

Upon using my first tune-up I paid for for my AC I was immediately informed by the tech who Facetimed me at work that me entire heat exchange, fan blower, and furnace needed to be replaced. He didn't even look at my AC. Instead of spending the $6,500 as suggested I got a second opinion and my entire system was fine and basically brand new. They told me someone would contact me regarding my complaint, but they never did. Very unfortunate because they could've kept my business for years to come and had already made thousands of dollars off me.
