After 15 months of a new COSTLY heating-cooling system, I've had to make no fewer than 5 calls to Air Experts for emergency service. To wit: when the ambient (outdoor) temperature falls below 40 degrees, the inside heat drops 5-6 degrees below the set temps on my thermostat.

Now I must pay for an extended warranty to avoid service calls every time my EXPENSIVE system fails.

Yesterday, I was compelled by the service rep (A.R. in Whiting, NJ) to anti up 136.00 for the privilege. He stated that the system was working when, clearly, it was not. It took 48 hours for the system to return to the correct temp after near-freezing temps over last weekend.

Weather forecasts freeze warnings for Thursday (2 days from now) ........

I hope people listen to me. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I called them for a service call, and this is what they told me. I was told by the technician that my split unit had a leak and the price to find the leak would be $1,577.00. Secondly, I was told that my refrigerant was low and that the first pound would cost $399.00, and any additional pound would cost $995.00. The total would be $2,971.00. I called someone else, and my split unit was fixed for $400.00. I can only imagine how many people this company has overcharged over the years.

Had AC, central air unit replaced. The entire project went flawlessly. Initially spoke with Neil, then Chris, then the crew who installed the 2 new units. The project went very fluid & on-time. I couldn't be more satisfied. The entire group at Air Experts from Lake Como, NJ, is to be commended.

Shop and compare as their services are overpriced and customer service has some issues. I understand it's a business trying to make money but stop with the ridiculous prices.

They charged me, twice, for refrigerant for a failed AC component and gave me an estimate to replace the component which was STILL under warranty. And which THEY recently installed.

The refrigerant cost was considerably higher than other providers.

Last year they wanted $600 to clean boiler burners and $1300 to replace a $240 pump on the same boiler. A different contractor charged $360 to clean the burners.

Had a scheduled maintenance appointment. The time was 12pm- 5pm. Scheduled my afternoon for my appointment.
At 3:50 in the afternoon, I got a text they would not be coming, they claim they had customers with A/C issues.
I called the office, I was told that the other customers were going to get service over me. I explained I made the appointment
And scheduled my day, they tried to tell me this was a emergency, I told them I didn't care about the other customers.
So I end up taking a half day off, to be told the other people come first.
I would definitely say , Do Not Use this Company. They were more concerned about making money, and since I paid for the contract last fall,
They already had my money. This is the worst Customer Service in the Industry

Great communication until they were given my check to begin installing my new system. Was told multiple times to wait for them to contact me directly which they never do. Always had to call them back a week later to get a response out of them. Was told Monday through Friday job but was more like January through March. At one point they deactivated my old heating system before the new one was running and when it was 45 degrees in my house they were kind enough to give me some space heaters. The individuals I worked with are great but as a company it was a complete failure. Quick to take your money and very slow to deliver.

We bought a new home six years ago. The hvac. Has been warm on the top floor we called a few local hvac contractors.
Neal came in talked about the opportunities that would fit our situation! He assured us all parts and equipment in-stock! Job could be done 4-5 days and could get it us on the schedule In two weeks. Yea the price was competitive!
Let me say I am wood flooring contractor, so I know how I want my house to be treated as I do my clients
These gents as true to their work on time everyday, supervised, neat clean and answered all questions and calls !
Please give air experts a call I do t think you will make a second ca
