Our HVAC system died. Doug Kadrovach came to our home almost immediately. He patiently answered all of our questions and set up installation the VERY NEXT DAY! We were very happy with the two gentlemen who did the installation as well.

ADS installed a new air conditioning and heating system for us over a month ago and it wasn't until they left and I had paid for the job that I determined they never ran the condensation line out as it's supposed to be; it's still just stubbed out under the house, dripping down into the dirt. I can't get them to come back and finish the job. After many calls over the weeks, now the manager will not return my calls. If I had it to do again, I would choose a different company.

I premise this with the fact that their plumbing division is great and wil continue to use that part of the company. Had an AC issue this past weekend. On Sunday the capacitor was replaced but by Sunday evening we could not get the AC to cool below 75 degrees. Called back late Sunday afternoon for another person to take a look at our system. Was called back early evening and was told the tech had 3 other people in Milton without air in front of me. Said no problem, take care of those folks but put us on first thing Monday morning. Monday we had a tech show up, determined that is was a compressor issue and that the part would be ordered from Dallas and should be able to install on Wednesday if the part arrived on time. Called the office at 1030 on Weds as we had not heard anything. Was told the supervisor would call as soon as he got out of a meeting. Called back at 1209 to find out what was going on and was told the super was on another line and that he would call back. 1214 received a call from an admin stating that the part was in but that it takes a few hours to install and that they would like to do it Thursday. Super then got on the line when I stated we were not happy with waiting until the next day. He made it sound like he was looking at scheduling and that he would call me right back. 1259 I called again as I had not heard, the lady said she would check. I told her that I now presumed that the install would not happen until Thursday please have the people here first thing in the morning. That this would be the last time we use AD for hvac and the owner was more than welcome to call me. At 130 an admin called and said the men would be out tomorrow at 815. I voice my displeasure that the super didn't call to try and do some customer retention. Thanked her for her time. Was quoted Monday that the labor would be $810 which I thought was high as the average is $645 but since it was to be a rapid response I thought it was worth it. Now with poor customer service and a day later I presume it will be less than the $810 estimate.

the repair man knew his job well and had the problem resolved in just a few minutes. cost was reasonable too.

Shower liner was installed without proper prepitch below. The tile guy said he cannot warranty  the mud job or tile job if I choose to use that liner. An additional $ 380 will be the cost to remove and replace liner, installed with proper prepitch. They didn't tell me I had to have a tile guy so it has been an extreme hassle trying to find one and wait for estimates. It's been a couple of weeks now without a shower and no end in site: with their quote of $2000 and another $2000 from the tile guy to fix their bad job, I would like to never have called them.

Answered the phone promptly and was not an answering service like other companies in the area. They could schedule the plumbing right away but the HVAC schedule had to wait to speak to Doug... irritated I could not do it all in one call. This is where the company can improve.

My experience with Air Design certainly doesn't match the ones I am reading. Even though their website says they """"do it right the first time"""" it took them FOUR times and over a course of three long days to get my air conditioning up and running. We called them on a Tuesday morning and they were here relatively quickly and we had air for a few hours, although it never registered below 80, and it went out during the night. A 2nd call was made to them at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning and even though it was their failure to repair, we were not given priority and they showed up 10 hours later. That """"repair"""" also was a failure, lasted a few hours and the air conditioning went out again overnight. A 3rd call was initiated to Air Design at 5 a.m. on Thursday morning and again the """"tech"""" showed up 10 hours later, spent 20 minutes on the air conditioner and 3 hours after their third failure, we again had no air conditioning. By that time on that same day it was evening, so a 4th call was placed to the dispatcher and the tech on call, Paul, arrived within 90 minutes. For the first time since Monday night (it is now Thursday) and after 4 service calls from Air Design, 3 of which were half assed failures, we had air conditioning throughout the night. Props to Paul, who obviously knew what he was doing unlike his incompetent coworkers. He spent the time and evidently addressed the problem as we have had air conditioning since he left. Of note, we have had company visiting us from out of town throughout this entire time and were not able to provide them with a good night's sleep or a comfortable environment during their stay. Air Design is not the only game in town and I will not call on them again.
