The 2008 financial downturn led to my layoff. After several months of reflection, I chose to pursue my plumbing license and start my own business. With no access to a business loan, I concentrated on getting the word out about my plumbing services. For two years, I utilized unemployment benefits provided by President Obama. As the unemployment benefits fell short of covering my startup costs, I persisted in networking and discussing my aspirations with friends and family. I found it challenging to gain traction, despite my relentless efforts. When I learned that Lowes was hiring installers in 2011, I took action. I have built a moderate reputation in plumbing, but I am still working to thrive. Bill Rucha, a friend from Michigan, has greatly contributed to my knowledge. Thank you, Bill, for being a reliable resource. I make an effort to help him when possible. Most of the time, I operate solo. I attribute my success to God. Gratitude to you, Lord.
