After the stock market collapse in 2008, I was let go. After several months of reflection, I chose to pursue my plumbing license and start my own business. Securing a business loan proved impossible, so I focused on spreading the word about my services. I depended on unemployment assistance for two years, courtesy of President Obama. As the unemployment benefits fell short of covering my startup costs, I persisted in networking and discussing my aspirations with friends and family. Even with my hard work, I struggled to make headway. When I learned that Lowes was hiring installers in 2011, I took action. Now, I have established a moderate presence in the plumbing industry, but I am still navigating the challenges. A friend in Michigan, Bill Rucha, has been instrumental in my learning. Thank you, Bill, for being a reliable resource. I try to return the favor whenever I can. I frequently run my business alone. I attribute my success to God. Thank you, Lord.
