TomandDebbie B.We bought our a/c unit from AATC about 4 years ago. The unit & installation was great. We called yesterday for a service call. The serviceman Fred was polite, knowledgeable, informative and an asset to the company. I was amazed that he was able to arrive in about an hour. He answered any questions in an honest & trustworthy manner. The lady on the phone was great to. We received a follow up call the next day from Peter to see if we were satisfied. We highly recommend AATC.
In November we have a home inspection on a home we are buying. The HVAC had just been installed a couple months prior, The unit was not working and it was installed improperly so the exhaust fumes from garage were going into air return and then in the Master Bedroom Suite. The HVAC company was called and they sent out two technicians. One was working on outside unit and one was changing breakers. I showed him where exhaust was going into house and he says he will fix that too. We buy the home and in December when we move in the A/C unit only cools for a few days. We call on a saturday and the girl does not have records that is under warranty so I amtold we must pay $175.00 for service call and a supervisor will call back on Monday and if it is under warranty they will refund the $175.00. The Tech who came out was exvcellent and immediatelyt finds a Freon leak on a braised joint and fixes it. He also shows me where the exhaust(Carbon Monoxide) is going into home. Tech was the best. The next day I used silicone and tape to fix the poorly installed unit to stop leak into home. No call Monday So I call tuesday and the girl put me on hold and comes back after a few minutes to say she is on the phone for a long time and is probably (as she chuckles) talking to someone about a complaint. I leave my number for a call back. Susan leaves a message and I call back and she has gone to lunch. Leave my number again and no call back. Finally we connect and I explain that the A/C has been installed improperly and it was not cooling and fumes from garage were entering the home. Susan states that when it was installed they had an inspection from the city and it was a perfect installation! Well we do not live in a city?? I told her the girl never told me it was a after hours charge. She stated after hours means their tech has to get up out of bed to go to my home? I called Sat afternoon and they scheduled tech 6pm-9pm ( another lie) So Susan says she had listened to tape and she told me it was $150. I asked if we could both listen to the tape and she said no they were for training purposes only. Susan lied about the tape. I asked Susan to talk to tech and he can explain what I had to fix to stop fumes from garage from entering house. told her tech seemed to be honest and would maybe tell her what he told me. All in all unit was installed improperly and your company is not standing behind the improper install??
Terrible company. They used to be a decent company but in the last few years their technicians don't seem well trained and every time someone new comes for service, they slam the last technician that was there. the office people are nasty as well. Not a good company at all. there are plenty of other really good companies so don't use them! there is a reason they don't have a very good rating.
Regi A.Beware of this company! False advertising, deceitful and discriminatory practices! Lack of professionalism, negligent staff, extremely expensive and they do not honor the promise of returning your money if you're not satisfied. On top of that, they discriminate!! They call themselves as Air Around the Clock but that's false advertising, do not fall for that. They only work from 9 to 5! I called because the ac was not working and they sent a technician to my home to check my ac, the technician did not do anything (just turned on the breaker)! Then the following day, my ac stopped working again. I called and they didn't send anyone to help me, even though it was their fault! Every time I called, the """"operator"""" just said that they would send someone the next day because they don't work after-hours! I had to call another company who repaired the damaged parts (2 parts on the compressor were burnt and I spent more than $400) and finally my ac was working! I almost went to the hospital as I spent 2 days in temperatures higher than 87 F! I'm an older, disabled Hispanic woman, when I called, the customer service manager Susan treated me very disrespectfully because of my accent! After arguing with her, she said that she talked to the """"owner"""" and they agreed to refund the $95 service call (I paid $139!) if I sent the invoice from the other company, I did. More than a week passed and when I called again, she said that I was confused, that she never said that I would be refunded and she even said that I had to be thankful that they didn't charge more and that they were to make a refund she will approve a $70 refund, just like that! Very disrespectful! Just like I was a beggar asking for money! Arbitrarily, she just made up an amount! Do not use this company! I will file an official complain because of their false advertising, deceitful practices, and discrimination!
When we bought our home in August 2014, we paid $5,500 as part of our home purchase to have a new Rheem A/C installed by Air Around the Clock. In March 2016, the A/C was leaking and blowing hot. We called AATC and we were told we needed to have the coil replaced. The part was under warranty, but we paid $470 for the initial service call and labor. The following week, it was leaking and running hot again. AATC technician who did that repair told us at that time whomever did the coil repair did it at an angle that led to the pan breaking. So we needed the pan replaced. That same technician then came back again to replace the coil again because after the pan was replaced, the unit was still leaking. We have also had drainage problems with the unit that an AATC technician told us how to mitigate on yet another call. In June 2018 we bought a maintenance agreement in the hopes of lessening our out of pocket costs as this seemed to be an ongoing problem. A complete maintenance check was done at that time. Today, 16 months later and after paying $250 for a service call because our air was blowing hot again, we find that the coil needs to be replaced again, and because we are three months out of our five-year parts warranty, Air Around the Clock wants to charge us $1,795. They would """"give us a break"""" of $100 off, but that's the best they could do. In total we have paid almost $1,700 to maintain an A/C that is five years, three months old. If we had done the repair today, that would be almost $3,300 in repairs since August 2014. We thought we were being proactive in replacing the original A/C from 1982 (which was still working) with this new appliance. We are done giving Air Around the Clock any more of our business unless they decide to provide us any type of good customer service. The only reason we gave one star is because the service technicians have always been polite and on time.
Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks prior for my second yearly maintenance visit. The day of the appointment they call to say they cannot make the appointment and need to schedule for the next day. I understand that scheduling conflicts happen so I agreed to wait a day. About 20 minutes later they called back again, saying they cannot accommodate me until 2 weeks from the day they were supposed to be here. Then, only when I threatened to cancel my relationship with them altogether, suddenly -- like magic -- they were able to fit me in 2 days later. I cancelled on principle. I shouldn't have to threaten them with my business just to get the bare minimum of customer service. Stay away. If you are already their customer, flex your muscles if you want to eke out even the most basic of customer service.
J S.We needed our compressor replaced. Air Around the Clock made an error and brought the wrong part to our house. We then had to wait four days for the new part to be installed. They brought us 1 in home unit that covers 600ft of cooling for our 2000+ ft square home but, it was better than nothing. When I called however, the supervisor at Air Around the Clock refused to give us any compensation for their error and our added time without ac. She said she """"could not"""" when in reality it's """"not willing to"""". When our AC went out everyone warned me that around the clock was a rip off and to call their guy. Unfortunately around the clock sold us our unit so I thought we would get better service. I was wrong. If you know someone who has a trustworthy and reliable guy, go with them.
Jodi B.Air around the clock bullshit!!! it's 10:30 at night, it's 90° out and my air conditioner doesn't work and they said sorry we can't send someone out tonight someone will have to come tomorrow. False advertising!!!
Angel P.Woke up Saturday to a hot house. They came out to access. From the moment tech Eduardo got there he starts pointing out things. Bad capacitor, no Freon, leak in coils. I had him call office in front of me and they confirmed all parts are still under warranty. None the less he says $1295 to fix and stated it's late Saturday you won't be able to have anyone else come out at this time. I kicked him out of my house. Another company came confirmed my parts were under warranty plus replaced other parts since they were warranted and only charged me for Labor. Will never use Air around the Clock again.
HORRIBLE.HORRIBLE.HORRIBLE. The worst AC company ever. The techs act like they know what they're doing...days later the same problem happens again...they SUCK. The """"customer service team"""" that answers the phone is RUDE.
