Their service technician came out 1.5 hours late. After removing the air handler cover he declared that I needed a new blower motor. $900.00 with 95.00 off for the service call. I sent him on his way and cancelled the motor replacement. The actual problem was a bad transformer $11.00 part. Beware of these guys.

While my family has used them many times in the past and really enjoyed their work (2 A/C units bought and installed within a year or two of each other) this past time we did not like their service at all. We were having problems with our washer and our stove so we called them to come out since we were so impressed with their work on our AC units. The tech that came out was really great fixing the washing machine, I mean it had to have taken him 30 seconds TOPS to identify what was wrong with the washing machine and MAYBE 5 minutes to fix it and he identified the problem with the stove just as quickly, but it needed a part to fix it. He ordered it and came back a few days later to install the part and after he left and my mom was cleaning the ceramic cook top on the stove, she noticed a rather large crack in it and called the technician about it and he came back and took some pictures and asked what we wanted done. He told my mom that it was still safe to use so she said she just wanted a credit for the service and he said he would have to talk to his bosses about it. Well that was 3 weeks ago, fast forward to yesterday and my mom looked at her credit card bill and was still charged the full amount so she called this morning to ask them about it and spoke to someone named Eddie and he told my mom that they spoke about it when the service tech returned and decided that they were not going to give us a credit because our household """"has a history of disputing charges with us."""" And according to everything I've found, we have not disputed any of their work before, we thought they had always done a great job. So while we loved all the work they did for us in years past, we will definitely no longer be using their services if this is the way they treat their loyal customers. You would think that any company that actually cared about customer service would actually contact someone that had a problem instead of just ignoring them. But apparently a credit for a $200 service call is too much to ask for for someone that has spent thousands of dollars with them in the past.

My Wife is Hot so I took Their Advice:) Six years ago I bought my AC unit from Air Around the Clock. I'm a huge fan of the Joe Rose Sports Show on WGAM and it was because of Joe's horrible singing of the ATC song that made me hire these guys. Not really, but the fact they have been around for over 30 years and have a 24/7 operation was the real reason. Every time I've called for any maintenance on my unit, the response time has been prompt, and the service was very professional. Recently, I noticed that my AC handler was leaking at the base. I figured my drain line was clogged so I called ATC. They came out the next day and I advised them that since I was working my pop, who's 76, would be at the house. They showed up on time and got to work. That Dreadful Call Don't you hate that call you get from a mechanic working on your car or anything you own that costs lots of money. Well I got that call from the worker Joe. Joe tells me that my coil needs to be cleaned and cleaned badly. He proceeds to tell me it's $425.00 blah blah blah blah. Honestly I didn't hear a word after $425.00. He sounded like all the adults in a Peanuts Cartoon. I'm thinking WTF man. I almost called Joe Rose to see if he could work out a deal for me since he turned me on to these dudes. Instead, I called my wife, we discussed it, and decided to get the work done. Mind you I was just taking this dude Joe's word for it that I needed this work done. ATC has always been straight up with me so I didn't even call another place to get another quote. Joe makes an appointment to come back the next day to clean the coil and drain pan. Oh My! I'm at work again, so my dad meets Joe and they get to business. Joe tells me he will take before and after pictures to show what they did. I didn't ask him to do that, but it was very professional that he did. Well folks, I'm embarrassed to even show you the before pictures, but it's imperative that I do. One word comes to mind: disgusting. I can't believe my family was breathing the air pumped out by my AC coil. More importantly, an air conditioner with dirty coils uses almost 40 percent more energy than one with clean coils. With buildup like this, the cooling function can be reduced by 30 percent or more. The after pictures clearly shows what an excellent job Joe did. I never got to meet him and it wasn't like it was free but I'm appreciative of him and ATC. That was $425.00 well spent. The Verdict This is a great company. I'm not related to anyone who works there or owns it. I will go on the record and say I met Mike Lang (the guy in the ATC commercials) and his wife years ago while eating at the now defunct Gold Coast Grill. This was before he was in the commercials. They are always out and about eating dinner in Coral Springs. They love Big Bear Brewing Company and I'm pretty sure they are fans of The Cook and the Cork too. Anytime I see them I go and say hello, they are really nice people. Mike always told me to call him if I needed something with my AC. Well, I haven't and I'm here to report that I didn't need to. The price was fair and the service was excellent. This is another business that I'm proud to say is in Coral Springs. Just never send the New York Jets truck to my house! Remember to tell Mike Lang that Dan and Joe Rose sent you and Stay Frosty!

I guess that this is the ATC that I called-- whichever the one is from their website. Anyway, I was told that in two days someone would call me in the morning to give me a 2-hour window when someone could arrive. I asked if that was the best they that could do because I needed to be sure that someone stayed home to be able to let them in, and she said yes. I declined their """"generous"""" offer to have someone stay home all day......

Was charged a ridiculous amount of $575 for a small repair job. When I asked to break down the cost their response was """"we price the whole job"""" and therefore we dont break it down. They compared their whole job fee to ordering a steak in a restaurant. huh??? I wrote a letter of complaint to the president and could you believe they in turn sent me a copy of their expenses from things like stationary, pencils, telephone, etc. Instead of breaking down cost of the job they sent me an itemized list of their expenses. After the fact, another a/c company gave me an estimate for this repair job of $300. This was actually $325 less than AATC's fee since since their fee would have been $625 without my service contract with them. Stay away, a bunch of crooks.

Our A/C unit stopped working. We called them for repair being hesitant about their former reviews. Not knowing anything about an A/C unit, we easily could have been scammed. The tech had it up and running within 20min and it only cost us $125 including travel fees and taxes! They will definitely be our choice moving forward!

ATC installed an AC unit in June 2012, without asking they replaced a digital climate control to a cheap one that came with the Bryant unit. to date had to replace evaporator coils twice in 2013 and 2014, also a capacitor in July 2014 and the motor fan this week 2014. Only the first coils installation was covered. So far a 2 year A/C has cost me an additional $1000.00, ATC got $6750 for the AC. ATC always has one answer """"we don't make the parts"""" but you sell them, you are responsible to make sure the product you are selling is reliable, it's a bad reflection on you , ATC. Mr Lang needs to spend less $ on commercials and spend more time in making sure the products he is installing are reliable! I went with a big company thinking they know and install reliable product but apparently they don't. No return business for good reliable AC's, bad product keeps a steady return business. BTW one service guy that came twice to my house is a jerk! ( I like to use other word starts with an A). My advice don't use Air Around the Clock. they will suck you try!!!

AATC is one of the very worst companies in South Florida, from a customer's perspective. They have 90 trucks on the road and a skybox at the new Marlin's stadium, so their profits and cash flow are plentiful. Unfortunately they leverage their scale to take advantage of new customers and care little to maintain positive relationships with them. Their shoddy work has even created a secondary market for fair-dealing smaller companies and independent contractors to go around and clean up behind them, because so many former AATC customers have sworn them off for good. Five years ago they sold us a 5-ton unit. Since that time we have gone through many problems with all the parts, misunderstandings over the warranties, and charges in excess of what was promised. Later found out that we only needed a 4 ton unit, but a the time AATC had a surplus of 5-ton machines and were determined to move them to unsuspecting customers. Also had discovered the unit that we had installed was damaged in transit. Please do yourself a favor and ask around for referrals from those who have had great experiences with their HVAC contractors. And do it before your system fails, because it is in those moments that AATC really maximizes its unfair advantage over you, the customer.

I called AARTC to check out my ac, it would not cycle below 69 degrees. A tech came out, removed the cover from the air handler and showed me mold on the evaporator unit and said it needed to be replaced, then we went outside to the compressor unit, he took a panel off and put his hand on the compressor and said it was """"too hot"""", indication that my condenser coils were deteriorated and said I needed a whold new ac unit, $3000 worth. My invoice says """"no cool, continuoully runs""""......but it did cool, I never said it does not cool. The invoice also said """" high discharge pressure"""", but the tech NEVER put ac gauges on my unit to check this.....I was with him the whole time. I feel I got suckered into a whole new ac that I did not need when all I needed was to have the evaporator coils cleaned (which I asked him, and he said it would not help much). This company is all about high pressure sales.......they do not repair, they replace at your expense. I was taken. Jeff Gillespie

The A/C stopped working suddenly, and it was the middle of summer, so we didn't have very long that we wanted to wait to get someone out. Unfortunately, our normal A/C repair company that the landlady has a contract with couldn't come out for a few days, so we called AATC, who could come out the next day. The technician who came out claimed the problem was a capacitor on the condenser, so he replaced it. Couple hundred dollars. The A/C was working when he left--for about 10 minutes before it stopped working again. I called him immediately and he returned, and this time claimed the problem was now the condenser fan motor, which needed to be replaced. Another couple hundred dollars. Once again, the A/C worked when he left, and continued to work--this time for about an hour before it stopped working yet again. Now I called the AATC office and told them they needed to get back out here and fix this once and for all. The same technician came back for a third time and this time proclaimed the problem was the condenser fan blades were warped and so the fan blade itself would need to be replaced, but he didn't have the correct part and would have to bring and install it that night. The small measure of solace was that there would be no additional charge for this third repair. He came back that night and replaced the fan blade, left, and again the A/C worked, this time for about 3 days before--you guessed it--it stopped working. By this point I wasn't about to let AATC near the A/C again--3 strikes and you're out. So I called the other company who sent out a technician the next day. As it turned out, the problem all along was in fact the capacitor on the condenser, except the AATC technician had wired it wrong so it was causing the fan motor to spin excessively fast, causing it to overheat and shut down. In addition, he said the AATC tech had used the wrong size fan blade that was putting excess stress on the fan motor. He rewired the capacitor, installed the right size fan blade, and the A/C has been working properly ever since. When the landlady called AATC to complain about the amount of money charged for unnecessary work and incorrect parts, the person she spoke with got very defensive and refused to admit to any substandard work or pro-rating of money paid, and made statements about having been in business for so many years, yada yada. The bottom line is AATC may have been in business for many years, but all I know is that the tech they sent out clearly had no idea what he was actually doing, and management was unwilling to make any concessions for this clear demonstration of incompetence.
