We bought a house that needed a LOT of plumbing work the previous owner neglected many repairs and replacements. I called a few plumbers but this one was clearly a standout.
George arrived and fixed our biggest problems quickly and well.
In 3 follow up visits we had everything fixed well showers, toilets, pipes, sinks, drains, connecting pipes.
He showed up on time, communicated well between jobs, had very high skills as did his helper on the only 2 man job.

Our toilet was clogged past the point that we could deal with, and our garbage disposal wasn't turning on at all. While on the phone with George to schedule the appointment, he asked questions to diagnose the toilet and disposal, and was able to mostly fix the disposal over the phone by telling me what to do. The next day, he was on time and finished fixing the disposal the rest of the way. There was a screw stuck in it, and he didn't charge for that part of the fix because of how simple it was and how little time it took. The toilet he and his apprentice fixed without much trouble, and he charged a very fair price. I will definitely be using them for plumbing needs going forward, and would recommend them to anyone who asked.

I had a hot water heater that stopped working. The company came to assess the problem and quickly realized it was a high temperature safety shut off. He hit the reset button and we checked to see if it tripped again. And it didn't. He also went through a cost estimate if had been the heater elements and/or thermostat. Another company had come by before Ahoy and provided estimates to both replace and repair water heater. Even after I asked the first company ""don't you want to remove the access panel and at least check the power to the elements"", he responded ""I dont need to and I can hear there is power there and I don't want to waste your or my time"". So the first guy left recommending a big repair. But Ahoy was already scheduled so when they came he immediately fixed it. And his repair estimate was more reasonable than the the other company. Ahoy didn't even charge for the repair because he came for an estimate and FIXED the problem during evaluation. Ahoy is a small company and it was the owner who did the service call. He was extremely knowledgeable and with a great attitude. I absolutely will use him again and would much rather use his company that one of these huge companies that have tons of overhead to pay for their owners who definitely are not wielding any wrenches.

Recently had some plumbing work done due to a septic backup emergency. The company called in to do the work replaced both the underground septic, and main water feed to the house (not sure why they replaced both, I believe they may have hit the pressurized line when digging down to the septic blockage). After this initial work was done, the normally great water pressure in the house had been reduced down to the inability to use more than one appliance at a time. We were unable to use the sink to wash our hands as the toilet tank refilled after flushing for example. After presenting my issue to the initial company and still being left high and dry, I decided to seek help from a better source.
I called AHOY, and was connected with the owner, George, and he was able to quickly schedule me for a free estimate the following day. He then came to my home, and I was able to give him all of the information he needed, as he examined the mess left by the previous plumbing company. George then suggested we run a few simple tests before starting work that could possibly be much more expensive, and possibly much more intrusive. George's suggestion quite possibly saved us thousands of dollars when one of the tests spotted a fitting that was not put on properly. The improper installation of a 90° fitting was restricting a large part of the main water flow into the house! Not spotting this could have resulted in thousands of dollars in unnecessary work, and who knows how much wasted time. George and his apprentice were fast, extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. If you need any plumbing work done, especially the more involved or difficult jobs that require the knowledge of a master plumber, I highly recommend George and AHOY Plumbing.

Excellent experience. George was great to work with for swapping out 3 old toilets with 3 newer models. He is responsive, professional, and courteous. Bonus--no plumber's crack! Just kidding.

I appreciate his customer service in doing a job well done and cleaning up after himself. I did have a minor issue with one of the toilets (not his fault) after the toilet swap, and George fit me into his schedule ASAP to address it with no ""if's and's or but's!""

It was great to work with George from Ahoy Plumbing. He responded quickly and was able to fix (replace) our sump pump the next day, saving us from another flooded basement that evening. He confidently answered all questions and got the work done without issues. We received warranty issue for the sump and a thorough description of everything that was done.
