They do not stand behind their work! buyer beware! They screw up and then charge you more to fix it.

We used to use AGS when we bought our house 30 yrs ago. I think the old timers that knew furnaces retired. Past 5 years their service has been extremely disappointing.
We switched to using 603 Oil Burner Service out of Hopkinson, NH.

The water stopped late Friday afternoon. I am clueless about plumbing, and I apparently have a semi complicated setup with a filter and a radon mitigation system.
The man at AGS was patient and walked me through to a really easy solution. Saved me lots of grief and money.

Thank you AGS

Thinking of having AGS do work in your home? Let me review the plumbing/HVAC work they did in our new house in 2005: 1. They installed two older Lennox A/C systems that used R-22, knowing it would be banned within the next few years. The Lennox rep thought they were older systems they had lying around their warehouse. Owner Ken Jaeger told me not to worry, people in NH don't use A/C very often anyway; 2. They installed a small, inferior well tank and incorrect well pump that needed to be replaced; 3. They installed a Rinnai tankless water heater that was replaced this month that the installer said was older than the time it was originally installed, another warehouse lay-around; 4. They placed the Rinnai at the furthest point away from where the water was needed. Nothing like waiting 10 minutes to take a shower; 5. They incorrectly installed outdoor sillcocks, one which was angled into the basement that later froze and burst, another where they compromised the integrity of a parallam by notching it; 6. They placed the boiler on wood rather than a raised concrete or block pad; 7. They vented the boiler exhaust and intake so close to each other that the PVC pipe started to melt. The foam they used also started to burn. Three contractors told us we were very lucky a major fire didn't break out in the cavity. All this was done to maximize their profit margin and/or because they didn't know what they were doing. You had better watch them closely, ask lots of questions, and check out the equipment they sell you - that's if you want to take a chance.

We recently had AGS install a Mitsubishi Split air conditioner in our master bedroom and couldn't possibly be more pleased. The unit is functioning far beyond our expectations.
My wife requires a really cold bedroom (60 degrees for sleeping) and she is elated over it.
Besides it working so well is it's quietness. Our old air conditioner never cooled our room properly and was unbelievably noisy. It's hard to tell our new unit is on - even when the fan is set on high. It's so nice to be able to hear our TV while in bed.
The AGS installers - Jay & Bill were fantastic! Very professional, accommodating and did a flawless install.
We had previously used AGS to install a new furnace and do some plumbing and all that work
was excellent.
In a world where service is too often poorly provided and not done on time we infrequently make recommendations.
We - however - are most pleased to highly recommend AGS.
They always came when promised and always provided exceptional results.

Me and my husband were looking for a central AC system in our home. We have used this company for other services before so, we asked for and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Keeping in mind, they have worked at or home before...the owner Ken came to the house, did nothing but complain about how the house was constructed (poorly for his liking). We went over expectations and all the while (35 minutes later) said that he would have two estimates. One for what I wanted (central AC) and one for the ""lazy mans"" ductless system. I was told 5-7 business days for an estimate. I'm still waiting for that estimate and have had my central AC installed. The appointment was the last part of the month in March. Thanks for nothing and, FYI... my ""word of mouth"" advertisement will not be nice.

Having a fairly new propane heat/ a/c unit in my house I had come home during the Thanksgiving storm to no power then once the generator started..no heat.. Had the company out that installed the system to fix it to begin with and the propane company out to fix the issue that they needed to deal with.. A couple weeks ago.. no heat again.. Called the propane company and they recommended AGS as they were many miles closer then the installers of the system. Jason came to the house and was very professional, found out what was going on and explained it all to me in a very easy to understand way. ( Also reassuring my constant worry about propane blowing my house up..) A week later no heat again Called AGS mid evening and Jason came out again.. different issue this time and he got the heat going again no complaints of being late evening which I'm sure cut into his family time.. Again explaining what he found in terms that I could easily understand..He was very happy to help and also was going to actually go above and beyond and call the manufacturer of the system as to find out why I am having so many issues with a 5 year old very well maintained system.. This company has gone above and beyond for me and I very very much appreciate it!! I highly highly recommend AGS and Jason too!

We had an excellent experience with AGS Services in the recent installation of a central air conditioning system in an older ranch-style house. Ken Jaeger, the company president, prepared a detailed design for the duct work and compressor, which turned out to be the lowest cost proposal we received. Even so, the materials and equipment AGS installed seem to be industrial quality, but aesthetically pleasing. The AC vents in our ceilings look great. The AGS crew (the guys who did all the cutting and fitting in a very hot attic) were very skilled and meticulously clean. They were people we enjoyed having in our house for the week that the project took. Ken and his crew showed adaptability when they successfully installed, at our request, their first Nest Learning Thermostat, in lieu of the standard Honeywell product. Overall, a very impressive performance, completed just in time for the summer heat. Highly recommended.
