We had a few small plumbing jobs (slow draining tub, erratic toilet) this weekend, and other plumbers either didn't answer the phone or offered crazy ""starting at"" estimates. Frank answered immediately, and offered a very reasonable rate. He showed up on time (early, actually), fixed the problem very quickly, and adjusted his price accordingly when the fix turned out to be easier than expected. Honest, professional, clean, and prompt. I'll definitely be keeping After Hours in my address book for the future.

My washer drain pipe had a Y junction that was rusting away... it was already falling apart. I shopped around on Yelp for quotes and Frank gave me a very reasonable one given the breakdown for labor and parts. So I went ahead and had the whole pipe replaced to the newer ABS (plastic) type. He also did a much better job than the pre-existing one in securing the second tube from another appliance into a new Y junction that he modified!

And he also gave me good advices on another issue for my bathroom shower control!

Frank was very calm yet good with his work. I highly recommend him.

No Show. No Call to warn me. Spent an hour waiting after commuting for about 45mins/$30 for the appointment because I live in Oakland only for no one to show up.

I requested them to come out to help fix a new thermostat I had. They were the ones who had the soonest availability and also charged a fairly reasonable rate. The day they arrived, my water heater blew and was leaking water everywhere, and they were nice enough to help me disconnect the water from the water heater as well as drain it for me so it would stop spewing water (and they didn't even charge me for that!). He fitted the thermostat for me and also connected the power wire in the attic so that it would have power. He was on time (exactly on time) and finished up quick and was very kind, courteous and quick. He also didn't mind me hanging around asking questions and happily answered everything. He wore shoe covers so as not to soil my carpet and was nice enough to wash his hands before working on my brand new thermostat. The last guy (not from this company) who came left his hand prints all over my crawl space door and wall, so I was glad that he was careful with that.

I requested a couple of quotes for plumbers to replace my garbage disposal. Most quotes either used basic disposals or their install rates were very high (or worst, both). But Frank from After Hours called me and told me his hourly rate and told me to pick out a disposal I would like and he would install it.

In the end I got the type of disposal I wanted and a transparent, competitive rate for the install. A win-win for all parties.

Frank was very prompt for the appointment, friendly, and finished the job in a very timely manner, right within his original estimates. I would definitely recommend him and plan to use him again on future projects.

We have been dying of heat for two days because our AC broke. I messaged After Hours last night, and got a response almost immediately. They were able to come today to take a look at our system. They are responsive, fast, and honest. Best of all, they were on time. It's myself to be a really silly problem and an easy fix, but nonetheless their service is great. Thank you, After Hours. We are now calm and cool again.
