This guy tried to run me off the road as I passed him, when I called to complain he answered the phone and said he didn't but that his truck was loaded!! then proceeded to tell me where he was if I wanted to come there to talk about. LOL. Like why would I do that?? A woman meeting a man who just attempted to run me off the road?? Right!!
His truck was over the yellow line halfway as I passed him, if that's not someone trying to run someone off the road I don't know what it is!!

We had a septic emergency and Steve came out and spent quite some time here emptying our tank and then removing a clog from our plumbing. It was an awful, stubborn clog. The method he used to remove it was incredible and didn't require any sort of mess inside our house. He answered every single question I had (and I had a lot of questions!), was friendly, and took his time to get the job done right. He was very thorough. I'm a customer for life. Of course there was a weekend fee but he came at a moments notice and that is priceless.

Property had not been septic cleaned in over 10-years.  When I ordered the job with Steve, i told him that.  He said that it may take them longer than the 45 minutes of the job, when there are clogs that take longer and cost extra.  I agreed to proceeding with the job.
Steve (812-332-4777) quoted $225 + additional if finger system clogged.  Arrived at 5:30 pm and pumped out the tank, but not the fingers, left in 45 minutes, but charged $275.00.  
I called Steve the next day and asked him if he pumped out the finger system.  He said that he didn't think that it was a problem, but if my toilet backed up, to give him a call.
This is not right.  He only did half the job. As far as I'm concerned, I am pre-paid for the completion of this job.  If he finishes the job and drains the finger system, I will not go ballistic.

Really nice guy, and very informative. He took the time to explain things and make suggestions, but he just wasn't very careful. He threw his hoses down off his truck when he arrived and splattered feces on our concrete pad. Then took a short cut across our patio instead of running his hose through the grass that was three feet away. His hose metal fasteners scratched up our new stamped patio. He just didn't take the time to be mindful of our property. Ill probably call someone else next time.

Affordable Septic and Repair is under NEW ownership, with Steve Phelps. The old reviews are for the previous owner and should be disregarded.

We had a bit of an emergency right after the holidays, the septic tank was full and the sewer pipe was also clogged. I got a hold of Steve at 4:30 pm and he was on another emergency job at the time, but said he would get to us first thing next morning. Sure enough, Steve showed up the next morning and got us squared away. He empty the tank, and after we saw that water was still not flowing, he offered to try to unclog it, which he did with great success. We've lived in our home for 12 years, and Steve/Affordable Septic and Repair is easily the best septic company we've worked with.

I called to request routine septic pumping. I was given a date and he asked me to text him my name, address, and the agreed upon service date as a reminder. He didn't show. I called him and he said he was 'getting himself organized' and would write my new appointment in his calendar. He didn't show the 2nd appointment either. I'm going with someone else.

Extremely rude and unprofessional. As a small business owner, I personally couldn't imagine treating a paying customer the way he treated and talked to us !
With the way the world is today it doesn't hurt to JUST BE NICE to people !

BEWARE!!! This guy is a joke. Called him to fix a small problem. I told him I did not want to spend more than $500. He said no problem. He made the repair and called and told me it was $1400. I asked him why he did not call me and what where the costs for? He said if I did not like it he would just go back and rip it out. I asked him to send me a detailed invoice he said he would. Then when I was not there one day he came and ripped it out and cut wires and just left it a mess. I will now sue him. What a jerk.
