I have a 2017 Newmar Baystar Sport that needed the full wall slide adjusted. It was not extending completely. I just had the coach at a dealer service center in December. One of the service items was the slides as they were making some odd noises. They assured me that the were working properly. Sometime later I noticed that the slide was not extending completely.

After arriving in Quartzite I checked Yelp for local mobile RV service. Affordable RV Service came up as well rated. Derrick's rating is well deserved.
I called late on a Saturday afternoon and left a message. Derrick returned my call 1st thing Monday when business hours opened. We made an appointment for his 1st open slot. He arrived right on time and got my slide working properly.

His work was clean and neat. All in all an extremely positive experience.

We left Tucson heading for Quartzite with 2 slides not functioning properly, they were kicking out on the bottom. We called Derrick as we were leaving Tucson and he told to call to call him as soon as we arrived in Quartzite. When we arrived and called he was at our campsite within 15 minutes. He quickly went to work diagnosing the problem and trying to recreate it. Derrick spent nearly an hour crawling around my rig checking all the hydraulic connections, running the slides in and out and explaining the various parts of the system to me. It was obvious he knew his stuff. We never could recreate the issue. Fully expecting to be charged for a service call, I asked Derrick what I owed him.... No charge was his reply. I spent 35 years in sales in an industry that is known for high volume and low profit often times the only differentiator was the level of customer service you provided. I know how to do it and I damn sure know when I recieved it. Today, Derrick exceeded my expectations. This was our first visit to Quartzsite and our fridge would only work on the AC/Generator. I tried YouTube for fixit ideas and did everything I could think of to fix it. The flame worked fine so we knew we had gas but what I didn't know was that the flame was not near as big as it should be. We called Derrick and he was able to come to us out on BLM land near town and had an opening the next day. My own rule of thumb is that if a fixit guy can come immediately you probably don't want them since nobody else wants them either. Derrick offered us another repair shop but due to his good review I felt he was worth waiting for. He kept us posted by phone and showed up on time. He fixed our fridge and oiled our furnace blower and gave us some maintenance tips too boot. I would call him again when we come to town should we have another problem. Highly recommended. Very professional, on time, and we did not feel gouged since we were in a pickle and needed a repair now. Great guy you wont be disappointed.

We had 3 issues that needed an RV technician and were only in Quartzsite for 1 week. I called Derrick on Friday afternoon, and he was able to come Sat. morning at 9:30. Our 5th Wheel had been in a repair shop twice for a total of 12 weeks to fix my slides which were drifting out while we traveled down the road. He quickly diagnosed it as most likely a dirty hydraulic cylinder. He cleaned it and instructed us about what to do if that didn't fix the problem. He installed an inverter and did all the wiring for us. He also diagnosed and repaired a leak in our propane system. He worked quickly and efficiently. He went out and got all the supplies and parts needed to do the job and completed everything in 6 hours. His rates were $30 an hour less than the RV repair shop we had checked with earlier. A complete professional worth every penny he charged.
