We hired Brad to remodel our kitchen. He came and bid on the job and said he could do all the work. He could not/ would not do what he said he could do in his written contract. He charges a huge amount and does little to no work when he bothers to show up. If he can secure someone to help him he will abandon them on the job site and be unavailable. Brad will also demand a house key or garage code so he can have access to the property at all times, we found out he gave the garage code to all his help even if they quit after a day.
Brad layed broken tile and would not use thinset as needed to support the tile. A number of tiles have broken. He wouldn't grout and seal the tile until we got upset about our upcoming install and then he only grouted a few tiles. Brad jumps around and never completes any part of the job.
He left the sheetrock and ceiling undone
He cut numerus unnecessary holes in walls for electrical work
He cut tile and mixed all dry powder in the house instead of outside or in the garage where he kept a huge supply of tools, he also made it impossible for us to use the garage for our own need and the needs of our pets
He demanded that the kitchen be kept at 50° and asked us to completely turn off the heat in the winter while he worked. It took forever to warm the area after he left.
But the biggest and most awful and fraudulent problem with Brad is that he is not licensed as an electrician or plumber or HVAC.
He bids jobs like he is licensed
Brad quit the day before we had a code inspection. We did not pass and all electric work was incorrect. We are waiting to hear about the illegal moving of our gas pipes. Brad did not secure any permits either, even though we asked about them.
After Brad quit he texted my husband that he would show him where the wires were for the lights (he sheetrocked over them) if my husband paid him another $1,400. At this point we had paid Brad the agreed upon amount and it was clearly blackmail.

Brad Taylor took 10,000 to remodel a small bathroom, worked a few hours a day for weeks, and left my fiancé and 3 kids with the job unfinished with exposed wires, no toilet, no sink, and even returned the vanity and toilet we paid for to pocket the cash. He also takes materials from other jobs to resell to new jobs. He also wandered the house snooping around. Do not use Brad Taylor! We also had to change the locks because he kept our house key.
