Our water softener broke, and garage was flooded with water. I turned off the main valve to stop the water. I called Mike @ Affordable plumbing, he showed up on time, removed the water softener and connect the pipes to fix the water supply in our home.

I hope the problem is fixed but we will see in a few days. All i can say for now is that i am very happy with his service and diligence.
First i spend almost half an hour with him on the phone discussing the problem. He was very patient in explaining to me potential causes. Then i made an appointment. He showed up in time and had to work for about 2.5 hours.
He replaced shower cartridge and spout, had to cut out dry wall hole to inspect with borescope.
He did the cut out with a knife so it caused almost no dust.
Total was $350 and if it is fixed i think a fare price.
Anyway it was good to have a friendly and very capable person doing the job.
I sure will ask my friends to consider him if they do have a plumbing issue

Mike was fabulous. Diagnosed the problem, got the hot water back to my shower faucet, and even threw in the installation of a new shower head - on an assessment call. At the end of the day, he is going to be our plumber for everything moving forward. Hands down the best! Professional, respectful of property, knowledgeable, and able to explain everything he is doing and why he's doing it. Saved me $800 another firm was going to charge me. The other firm said I would have to rip out my wall so they could diagnose the issue. Uh, no. Thank-you Mike for all the laughs and savings!

You can stop looking for a plumber, go with Mike at Affordable Plumbing. I'm usually skeptical of endless glowing reviews, but this guy really deserves it. Easy to understand quotes, confirms time, shows up on time, is knowledgeable and professional. I'm a newbie home-owner and he answered all my questions. Walked through what he was going to do, next steps for me to follow, etc. If only all home maintenance was this easy.
