Woohoo! As good as plumbers get! He didn't have a crack hanging out, in fact his shirt was tucked in, which was nice. He was quick, got the job done, cleaned up after himself, and made sure my cat wasn't in his truck when he was leaving. Also, he smells sooooo good! I live in an older house (okay, really old, built in 1930). I don't have plumbing issues often. But never fails when I do, they're nearly catastrophic.

Today was my kitchen drain not draining and a garbage disposal that would only just turn, but didn't seem to be working. Worst part, nasty water was backing up and getting close to flowing all over the kitchen. There was even gross back draining into the dishwasher.

Called & got a real person straight away! Yay! Even better, Gene could get out to my house this afternoon. Showed up exactly when I was told he would. Absolutely professional, super tidy and no up-sells or telling me I needed services I didn't. He even came back in to tighten a line he noticed was loose somewhere other than the repair site for no extra charge.

Their number has a permanent place in my phone.

I would like to state that Gene is a very hardworking plumber. He does not like to quit until he gets the job done! I watched him work on my mother's sink to unclog the kitchen drain. He was about to give up, but he returned back to the job three times after checking to see where the main pipe was (couldn't find it) and kept his machine pumping. I know the job was time-consuming, and he stated that most jobs like this unclogged in minutes. He soon found out that a dishwasher hook-up to the sink was in the wrong position and a new drainage would really be needed for the drain to properly respond. Although my mother did not opt for the work to be done (new system) she paid a fair price for his continued efforts. We now know the real problem. I would recommend his service to others without a doubt.

Recently bought an old home with leaking pipes that were supposed to be repaired upon sale but unfortunately were not. I emailed several businesses for estimates -- Gene was the first to respond, was flexible, and had the best price. He was available the next day, climbed into the crawlspace to have a look, gave me the quote (which was seriously thousands cheaper -- I don't know what the other plumbers were trying to do??) and replaced the old pipe right away. I had tons of questions and he was very friendly and accommodating. When my new washer/dryer arrived I was told they could not install because I did not have a waste line so I emailed Gene and the very next day he arrived early morning (always on time) and got right to work. I could hear he was frustrated (I'm sure he hand a couple of hang ups as this house of mine seems to keep cropping up with issues left and right) but he remained in good spirits, kept true to his price quote, and even moved all the exposed wiring to keep it hidden when the work was done (something that I had planned to do myself). I highly recommend, and will definitely call him again for all my future plumbing needs!

Look no further for an honest, reasonably priced, knowledgeable plumber who is actually trained as one. Gene is a rare find in what can be a world of sometimes unqualified plumbers who put consumers and their wallets at risk when they show up with little skill, lots of hype, high prices for their products and travel time. Gene is a great problem solver (in my case for a replacement water heater), candid with his advice, resolves all issues and cooperates to give you options, works efficiently and cleans up afterwards. We teamed up to select the water heater I really wanted within the limitations of my condo space. No question I recommend him confidently to anyone and am at peace having found a great resource if other plumbing issues arise.

I'm a real estate broker, and was representing the seller of a house. The buyer's inspection turned up some issues with the water heater that had to be addressed right away. This was on a holiday weekend (Labor Day), but I was able to reach Gene Kasatkin. He came out that afternoon and fixed everything including replacing a spigot that wasn't part of the original bid (at no charge). He worked in the heat, in a cramped, dark recessed cupboard area of the garage, and was still in good humor when it was all done. Reasonable fees and quality workmanship.

It's hard to quantify what you get from a plumber, but I will try.

He arrives on time, he does the work in the time alloted and I have never paid more than the estimated cost. He never finds other things and upsells them, which given his competency he could easily do.

Last time I had him out was when I couldn't get my garbage disposal to turn. He got it turning, but I decided to replace it so he didn't even charge me for getting the old one working, only for the new one. wohoo!
