Quite UNaffordable in my case. They cleared out our clogged drain in the kitchen and fixed a small leak I caused by plunging the sink. For 2-3 hrs work I paid more than I did for materials and 5 days labor to have my beautiful front porch built. The sink drains now without leaking, but I should have gotten an estimate. You should too.

Superb work! The water line into our house ruptured, so our household was in a real bind with the water off at the meter. I started down the list of plumbers with no one available until I reached Gene with Affordable Plumbing. He was at the house in 25 minutes. Finding the leak was a challenge--the supply line runs around the house and is buried 4 ft. deep. His expertise showed immediately as he narrowed the leak area, then began to dig and dig and dig. He was right on the leak, which could have been in a lot of spots, and spent a lot of time preparing the repair. By this point he was more than 4 hours into the job and working upside down in a 4 ft. pit. He wasn't satisfied with the repair parts' performance, so worked out an alternative approach that required he return the following morning with the right parts. He was at the house first thing in the morning, went straight to work, installed the new parts, and tested the system. I am thoroughly impressed with his abilities, patience, and endurance to solve a crippling problem that was well beyond the ability of the do-it-youselfer. Worth every cent paid! Will keep his number handy!!

Called to schedule a service to come check out a potential leak in our crawl space. The owner said he didn't feel like going into a crawl space and was going to pass on our job. Terrible customer service, must be nice to be able to pass over work because you don't feel like getting a little dirty.

This plumber clearly practiced price-gouging in my case (almost $400 for a shower cartridge replacement) and I would, on that basis, advise against using him unless he offers a solid quote at the time of contact. His defensive response to my initial review is further evidence of a lack of concern for customer satisfaction and tendency to misrepresent unsatisfied customers. Perhaps the lesson he needs to learn is to avoid ripping off a customer on a small job to maintain his reputation for the bigger jobs which come his way.

I called Gene on a Friday afternoon. He was at my house within 30 minutes. My sump pump was working intermittently. He analyzed the existing installation carefully and provided a number of options to fix the problem. As the existing system was so old I asked if he could just replace it. He got the new pump and all the parts and had it installed and working with all the back flow valves and everything in a few hours. Amazing service.

Our water heater died and we needed a fast fix. I found Affordable Plumbing listed on the Bradford White web site. Yelp reviews gave me confidence, as I had no prior experience with this plumbing company. Gene followed up as promised with a cost comparison to either replace the control valve versus the cost of a new unit. He recommended new as our water heater was 10 years old. He was out within a couple of hours and had us in hot water by days end. I probably could have saved a few dollars but there is a lot of value in just getting it done fast by a qualified installer that has good reviews. I would have no reservations in recommending Affordable Plumbing.

Intelligent and trustworthy Plumber! Thank you Gene for giving us hot water after purchasing our new house. Our tankless hot water heater had two mixing values that produced 100 degrees hot water on the best of days. We now have the temperature that is dialed into the water heater. My builder just kept quoting ""its the Code!!"" It was worth every dollar we spent and wish I had called sooner. Now I can get a great shower. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
