Lane at Affordable Plumbing did a fabulous job fixing the leak in a shut-off valve that had been geysering near our barn. I have never encountered a more competent and personable plumber, and his rate was very reasonable. One of the fittings he installed was defective so he had to drive back to town to purchase a new one. He then redid the job and didn't charge me for the redo. He was committed to doing it right.

A friend suggested Affordable Plimbing for an urgent sump pump issue. They came fast and fixed it up right for indeed, a very affordable rate, and also just were kind and pleasant and made friends with our dog. Recommended.

Ok so my mother kitchen sink lost pressure and I called several Plummers none of them could come that day. I kept searching Affordable tried to walk me through the problem on the phone for free no others even tried that. In thought that was pretty cool of them. When we found a second issue he said sounds like multiple issues that he would come down within a few hours he did fixed everything in just over an hour only charged me for an hour. These people are awesome and fair. Call them up and do yourself a favor.

I have used Affordable Plumbing and Drain multiple times for a variety of issues on my old 1920's house. They have installed a new garbage disposal, installed a permitted gas line for a backyard firepit, figured out why my kitchen sink was leaking and repaired it. Craig, the owner, and his two technicians are polite, courteous, dog/cat/kid friendly, and respectful of my home when they are working here. I always find that they take the time to explain things to me in a way that I understand.
They are old-school--paper invoices and honest workers with integrity. I'm a service business owner in Santa Cruz myself so my standards are very high.

I've never needed them for an emergency, so I can't speak to that part of their business, but for my needs they have been great!

I called this guy and I described my problem and what I needed done. It was a couple bathtub drains I needed replaced in a mobile home. He said he might have time to come by that afternoon to check it out. He said I could send pics so I did with details of what he was looking at just so he can have an idea. He never replied back. I texted him back a couple times through the day saying to let me know if he can do it or not. The texts said ""read"" so I know he read all of them, but never bothered to call me back. Pretty unprofessional and rude to not take a second to respond. If you don't want to help then at least have the common courtesy to text back and tell me..

They came to save the day! We were renting a beach house in Santa Cruz with 4 young kids. Our showers were not draining so the property manager called them out. They came first thing in the morning. The cleared the lines in no time and they were very friendly! We appreciate your time and effort

We have used Affordable multiple times at our home and at my Mother-in-law's home, and found them responsive, smart, friendly and yes...affordable. We've dealt both with Craig and John and they were both efficient and able to get the job done in a timely manner, often on the same day we call, as they focus on the Santa Cruz area. We've only used them for fix-it work, and I can't speak to new major plumbing installs etc, but they have been great for leaky valves, plugged drains, and swapping out water heaters, etc. We'll keep hiring them for sure when we have a problem.

Nice people if they ever come. Waited 30 days when I was left with no hot water in my kitchen EVEN THOUGH HE SAID He would be back tomorrow. Right. Then his associate finally showed up and ""fixed"" it. Now my water heater rattles so badly it is hard to hold a conversation in the room adjacent. Never returned any email or call. It's been another 30 days plus. Never really apologizes AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I will now have to pay another plumber to fix these guys' incompetence.

This is a great company in my opinion. I called them, and got same day service. They cleaned out the main line in our Condo, and did a great job. No complaints at all.

This was a job that another plumbing company came out to do, and couldn't get done. Affordable got it done at a great price.

The owner is friendly on the phone and had a technician out right away. The tech was a very good employee and respectful of our house and did great work

Very disappointed in this company. Paid money for an incorrect diagnosis which ended up costing even more. Saw the truck parked on a street and mentioned to a friend how inept and expensive they had been and she said she had heard that, too. Several people in the mobile home park where she lives had similarly bad experiences to the one I had
