John and his crew installed a new heat pump in our lake home. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I had decorated the house for Christmas and they were very careful not to disturb anything. They put tarps down, so, when they left, everything was still in order. Our heat pump is working perfectly. We were totally satisfied with Affordable Heating and Cooling. A local electrical company had recommended this company. That made us feel more comfortable using them, since another reputable company recommended John's company, Affordable Heating and Cooling. I needed someone to check over the 35 year old heater in a house I just purchased. Affordable showed up on time for my appointment, checked the heater, and determined it was working just fine. They also looked at the ac unit while they were here and said it looked ok. they will need to come back in the spring when the temp is warm enough to run it and check freon levels.

In addition to showing up for their appointment on time, two things rate 5 stars. First, they pointed out that the previous owner had mislabeled the heater as air conditioner (I had the breaker to the ac off), causing the heater to run at about 35% of its capacity - it heats much better when it is turned on. Second, he pointed out the the thermostat was an old spring type, which loses accuracy over time. I had the temp set to 61 to keep the furnace from overheating the house. He suggested I replace this with a digital model that will keep the temp +-2 degrees of where I want it.

I had a good experience with this company. They looked and acted professional and I would use them again.
