Martin is awesome! I've used his services for some plumbing work and for some other odd jobs around the house (mounting a big screen tv, etc). When I first bought my home the previous owner disclosed that the garbage disposal didn't work and needed to be replaced. I found Martin on Yelp and figured I'd give him a try for the installation based on the positive reviews. He said he could buy me a new garbage disposal and I could pay him for it or I could go to some place like Home Depot or Lowes and buy my own. I opted for the latter assuming it'd be cheaper and he came to install it. Upon inspecting my current garbage disposal, he said that he could actually fix it and I could return the new one and save some money. I appreciated his honesty and he did a good job repairing the disposal. I also had Martin mount a 55 inch tv in my living room. He went to best buy to purchase the mount (at my request) and brought me the receipt so I knew exactly how much it cost him. Again, the honesty and transparency was great and the installation went well.

Martin always does a great job and I will continue to use him as my handyman. I'll also add that he is very personable, hard-working and honest and I have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable with him in my home. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends or family.

Martin was hard-working, professional and honest. I am so glad I called him after reading his great reviews on here. He answered my call, set up a time to look at my place and sent several texts and pictures with updates and information. I had him pull up carpeting and replace it with tile. He also replaced a faucet and fixed a window. He gave me receipts to verify the cost of materials. He is very fair with his pricing. I left him alone with the keys to my place and never worried once. The work he did looks great, and I will be using him for all future needs. He worked later than he originally anticipated and even came back after already being paid to touch up some work for a couple of hours. I am impressed and grateful!

I cant say enough about Martin, his ability, his services and top notch customer service. He installed two toilets, fixed a leaky sink and repaired an outlet. I have a small list of other things I need done~~I'm keeping my fingers crossed he will be available.

Martin was extremely helpful and professional on his recent visit to help me build a bookshelf and hang some artwork. From start to finish, Martin made sure everything was set exactly how I wanted it and even offered to help me hang some other pieces while he was here. Clean careful timely and definitely talented! I had Affordable Handyman Service (Martin and Crew) build out my walk-in closet to meet MY specifications. Not elfa or wire shelves but true sturdy quality construction . He listened to my requests and was able to complete the project on my timeline. He was always respectful of my space while having heavy construction tools in my unit.

Martin, the owner, came to my home to help me with various projects. I'm recently going through a divorce, and quite frankly don't have the time or desire to change a million light bulbs or become Ms. DYI! Even though I like the idea of being an independent woman, it was nice to have someone come over who was friendly, professional and able to fix things in the house I couldn't manage (a broken door handle, a light fixture, etc.) Martin handled my entire list, which included removing old alarm keypads and ""drywalling"" (is that a word?) and painting. He really can do everything! He is also starting a bigger project for me...turning my ex's home office into my home gym! Definitely a company I will keep on speed dial and share with my friends...both married and divorced!

Called twice, both times Martin made an appointment to come to our establishment for an estimate, anticipated his arrival and each time did not show up or even call to cancel. Not sure how else to obtain business as a local business ourselves, we expected a call at least.

I had the best experience with this company. I bought a loft in the South Loop and wanted to upgrade the bathroom. I started to do the job with the help of my sister, but it got complicated when we had to move the electrical box. I called Martin right before the Thanksgiving holiday. He got back to me right away and because I would be spending the holiday out of town, we scheduled something for the Monday after. He texted to let me know he was running a little late. When he arrived he did every job I had for him (little and big). He showed me how to do some things that I wanted to learn and he cleaned up everything before he left. What a joy! I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
