Company Overview

In 1980, Fred Black founded Advantage Service Company. Initially, the company operated as Little Rock Maintenance & Service Company. Our services grew to encompass plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration. In 1990, Fred partnered with Jimmy Langston to lead the plumbing division. The company relocated to its current site on I-30 in North Little Rock in 1992. We moved into a spacious 11,000 square foot office/warehouse in 2001. Today, Advantage Service Company employs 65 skilled professionals and serves all of Central Arkansas.

There was a miscommunication about the emailing of the completed invoice being emailed to me. But it was my failure to check my ""Junk"" folder for addresses not in contact list. The Tech, named Jerry, did an excellent job, cleared my problem in the kitchen, knew immediately that there might be a problem with bathroom room drain because it's right next to kitchen and took care of it. He even made sure there wasn't a leak at the meter. He definitely knew exactly what to do and did it.

This used to be a good company but not anymore. They do take advantage of you though. We had a problem with one AC unit that we had bought from them that was around 8 years old. It was a top of the line expensive heat pump and was not working correctly but still working. We heard a racket from inside the house and when we went to investigate the employee had completely dismantled the unit saying ""I can't find the leak"".! So of course they wanted us to buy another top of the line unit from them to replace it because he had destroyed that one. We did go ahead and get a cheaper model because we had to have something right away at that point but will never use them again.

Had new AC installed in my shop last year. The guy who installed it had retired so I called Advantage when it started blowing hot air. They came out and put 3 pounds of freon in and said they would have to come back for ""leak detection"" They came back 2 days later and found a loose nut in the line which Handed me a bill for almost $600 to tighten a loose flair nut and 3 pounds of freon. They will overcharge you

Just talk to a person I know who has a rental properties and had Advantage come out because a unit was blowing hot air they told them that it was completely toast and would have to be replaced and quoted them $6000 to do the repair for a package unit. Fortunately my friend was smart enough and had another person look at it and said that The fans were completely called with dirt and grass and just needed to be cleaned and there was nothing wrong with the unit Advantage is a rip off do not use them

My Company used Advantage to try to fix an AC unit in our warehouse. They claimed it could not be fixed and that parts were not available. So, we purchased a new unit from them and had it installed. This was in January and the heat on the unit worked fine. Come warm weather we found out that the unit they sold us had not been hooked up to a drain line and left water all over our floor. They sent a service man out and he said it would be extra $ to do that. I called the office and they claimed twice that they would call me back. they have not called back and the service man provided my warehouse with a bucket!! The old unit did NOT need a bucket!!!!!! They sold us and inferior product than what we had and will not make it right. I would NEVER use this company again. So at the end of the day we paid $1800 for something that does not work properly. I just don't think you should have to empty a bucket everyday for that kind of money.

They answered all our questions and had great attitudes, you could tell they loved their jobs! Our electric bill has went down at least $50 per month since we had the unit installed. Ashley B's account is absolutely ridiculous. She claims that I was told the unit was ""not worth the repair"" and ""a that a new unit was highly recommended"". All I can say is that these are flat out lies! I was told the inducer fan was rusted, but functional and that there was a good chance it would last for several more years. At no point was a replacement unit ""highly recommended"". I have a copy of an estimate for recommended repairs, nothing mentioned about replacement unit. All it takes is a little common sense to understand that this company dismantled my unit and within hours it was on fire. The most disturbing thing is the way I was treated after being out of my home more than thirty days and the damages that resulted from the fire. It is clear that this company would say anything to try to save face. This only serves as proof that if you treat customers right the first time you don't have to worry about the storm afterwards.

Took forever for tech to show up, quickly assessed the situation and applied a BANDAID! Lied to me about what he did and hit the road. Said he replaced fitting when he actually filled the spraying crack with gobs of solder. Finally give out today and my problem is back, thanks jackasses. I called a competitor and they actually came over and fixed it right. Stay away from these guys, surprised they are still in business.
